All my expectations were met, a warm, comfy cozy welcome. Very friendly helpful staff. Loved the location and room size, lots of light.

As we arrived on Dec 4th, decorations were just going up and very pretty by the time we left on Dec 6th. I would have loved to hear holiday music in the common areas. In my room I would have welcomed a soft rug to step on to beside the bed and there was no convenient or electrical outlet to charge my phone besides resting it on the bathroom sink or unplugging other equipment. The microwave in my room also carried a rather strong odour from previous use. Otherwise I will happily recommend The Carriage House Inn and would certainly return myself

The staff were really nice when we arrived and during our stay, they are very friendly. We stayed on the first floor in room that was big and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had a variety of sandwiches, eggs with bacon, fruits, yogurt, juices, coffee and snacks.

The only thing I found was that the bathroom sink didn’t have hot water.

The continental breakfast was a little too prepackaged with too much disposable packaging.

Grand old building and large bright rooms. comfortable bed, large bathroom, and we appreciated the lift. Staff were polite and very helpful. plenty of car park spaces.

Conveniently located and the staff was friendly and efficient. The rooms are spacious and very clean! The lobby and breakfast room are charming!

The room doors should have some weather stripping to prevent light from coming in from the hallway.

The beds were awful — old, uncomfortable, and we got no sleep. There was only one chair in the room so only one person could sit.

We requested a quiet room, which we did receive. The room was good sized and very comfortable. Breakfast was not as good as expected. We enjoyed sitting on the deck with our morning coffee.

Truly enjoyed our stay, but we do have a few suggestions….

I would think that there should be milk at breakfast. Breakfast seemed to be geared more towards the hotel’s convenience rather than the guest’s enjoyment. Lighting in the room was quite dismal. Difficult to read in bed. The hand rail for the shower was placed in a ridiculous location.

Bathroom could be updated

This location is cute. We liked that the hotel is an old Victorian home which tied the trip to Rhode Island together nicely. We had an issue with our television so they accommodated by moving us to a new room which was great. As long as you mention it, if something wasn’t up to par, they are really quick to fix. All staff were very friendly and kind. A fresher brekky would have been nice because what was offered was all packaged, but it does say light breakfast when booking so we did expect to eat out. There are a lot of great eats close by. Simple merchant coffee or custom coffee is great for coffee. Le Bec Sucre is soo delicious for French pasties and breads. And there is also Mas for donuts and bagels, as well as bagel boys for cheap morning eats. Overall the stay here was lovely!

I think some ppl assume the staff know if there are issues and then complain when leaving. However they may not know. We informed staff of an issue with tv and they didn’t know but they fixed right away. We moved to a new room which was a nicer one but the sink was clogged. We informed the cleaning staff and they solved it immediately. If you inform them, they will help you and make sure your stay is as good as could be I would have preferred for fresh breakfast, even if it’s kept light. The packaged food wasn’t appealing and the fruit seemed a bit old.
