Poor rec Appalling reception! Bathroom exceptionally poor. Shower initially looked broken and my wife could not shower as she needed the strength of a 30 year old weightlifter to get the tap to work, she is 71. Had we realised this when we booked in (booking made and paid for in advance), we would have gone elsewhere. Staff very unhelpful when this was pointed out to them.

It was close to the beach and some restaurants around there

The staff was competent and helpful. Location! Location! Location! Great location for fishermen’s warf.

The pool was closed. The beds were small. It’s expected to have queen sized not full sized. The room was small as well.

It WAS across the street from Denny's and so we got our meals and coffee there. It also was close to Highway 1. We went there for a wedding in Carmel and so we were able to access Highway 1 to get there easily.

We had exactly minimum of everything needed. They gave us two pillows and there was nothing extra like pillows and blankets stored in the room. I went to the front desk and got two extra pillows. I am surprised there was a tv and phone. There was no coffee in the room or in the office. No Kleenex, toilet paper was all. teeny tiny soaps to wash with but there was only package of shampoo and we had to use a knife to cut it open because it wouldn't even tear with my teeth. I feel that $260 for one night is an awful lot to pay for a hotel to offer no coffee or anything else. We won't stay there again.

Location was choice.

Room had pillows that smelled like sweat and body odor; mattresses my 11 year old even agreed were unusable; a moldy bathtub and disgusting 1980's era smoke yellowed telephone. The remote was covered in what I really hope was donut glaze. The bathroom door didn't latch. The curtains were torn. There was no coffee maker or hair dryer. The ice bucket was found to be the source of some salty mystery in the water and the worst part is that the owners just didn't seem to care because the location pretty much guarantees business no matter how poor every aspect of the stay ends up. It was like going to somebody's house you should've been warned about ahead of time. I'm not rich. I don't have a luxury car or an executive position at work. I'm just a normal guy who spent way too much for my family to be horrified by the conditions of this Motel 6. We well never stay here again.
