Central to most South Lake Tahoe places.

We were there for 3 nights. Had no room service. Had to ask someone to provide fresh towels and more toilet paper. Our second night there our shower faucet stopped working. We could not take a shower until the next morning when they sent a plumber to fix it. Then our last night we noticed we had no hot water in the room. Apparently the water heater went out. The next morning the manager offered us to take a shower in another room but during my shower they turned off the water. I had to dry myself with soap on me. Manager then promised $100 fee back for our inconvenience and has not followed up since last week. One of the worst experiences for a stay at any hotel in my life.

The room was warm on arrival, which was a lovely surprise. The room was exceptionally clean and comfortable. We booked last minute but were still able to access the room easily after being sent a room code. The area is quiet but still close to some lovely restaurants within walking distance. Overall, it was fabulous value for money.

We couldn't get the TV to turn on to any channels. Someone wasn't available at reception, but they could be reached by phone and text easily.

Check in/out process was super easy. The room was clean and had a microwave, mini fridge, and Keurig machine that were well maintained. The location was fantastic. My husband and I came to Lake Tahoe as a last minute trip without really planning what to do. Alder Inn was such an easy location to walk to the beach, food, and coffee shops. Management was very accommodating and gave us a number to contact in case we had any questions or concerns.

It was difficult for me to get into the room. It wasn't explained properly how to use the keypad. After 4 hours of waiting, the lady on the phone said that I wouldn't have to pay for the room.

Very small room with no table. During Covid we most often bring takeout back to our room for dinner. We had to eat crouched on the side of a people swallowing chaise Lounge. We had TV problems—no local stations—-all of the channels said to contact provider. But we had no one to contact. No fresh towels. No clean glasses or coffee cups. Luckily they had stocked the room with an extra roll of toilet paper.

The place is cute, neat, clean and comfortable. We wished we would have stayed longer. We only stayed for a night. Close to many stores and restaurants.

No disclosure the Hot Tub was not working.

The young girl at the desk was rude. The office is never open for assistance. The door was unlocked and when I entered I was immediately told by the young lady that she was eating. In other words get out. After returning later We asked if the hot tub was open and were told no. Later we saw the light on and steam coming from the hot tub. Obviously working yet we couldn’t use it. The shower leaked on to the floor so badly we had to use everything available just to walk in the bathroom and not flood the room. Parking is terrible.

The rooms are clean. Everything you need in a nice room. Quiet property and easy check in. It’s nice having microwave, coffee maker and little refrigerator.

Pool and hot tub are shut down this time a year. I still believe this a great hotel. The bed was hard this time but last stay the bed was comfortable in a different room. I guess it’s a preference thing.

Clean, great mattress. Everything worked flawlessly. Lots of amenities, jacuzzi, swimming pool, barbeque and fire pit area. nice. Close to restaurants and the beach.

The Alder Inn was such a cute place to stay! It was in a great location in South Tahoe that made it easy to access everything that I wanted to do while there. It was also within walking distance to restaurants and shopping! The Alder Inn definitely provided the more rustic experience that I wanted to have while staying in Tahoe (I didn't want to stay at a hotel/casino). It was clean, the staff was friendly, and it felt super homey! I would for sure recommend this place to friends and I would absolutely stay there again!

I stayed in the summer, and there is no air conditioning- but I believe it's the same no matter where you stay. As long as you know that going in, then it's fine!
