The lady who owns the place was extremely nice and helpful. The room was big, everything worked as expected. The house is more than 100 years old which gave it a nice atmosphere.

Unfortunately Valparaiso isn't the nicest place to stay. Looks very neglected (not a fault of the hotel owner of course :)

Nothing bad

The owner of this hostel is incredibly sweet and hospitable. She went out of her way to make us feel welcome and would do anything to make your stay enjoyable. Safe parking in Valpariso was a plus and very much enjoyed the kitchenette in our room and view of the city. Would absolutely reccomend and stay again. Thank you so much!

Nothing to dislike!

Upon entering, we were immediately impressed with the cleanliness of the property. The courtyard had several flowering plants and, most fun, a fig tree from which we enjoyed freshly picked, by us, figs! We started each morning with a delightful and tasty breakfast prepared by our hostess, with whom we enjoyed visiting and learning about Chile. Each evening was spent on the balcony of our apartment, snacking on cheese and fruit with, of course, a few glasses of Chilean vino! Being on a hillside, the view during the day, and especially at night, was breathtaking. The neighbors had begun decorating for Christmas, so the water sparkled and the lights twinkled. We were never rushed and found time for relaxing, which was just what we needed. The facility is a short walk from the neighborhood where we dined, shopped and visited with the locals. We will definitely stay at El Mirador our next trip to Chile, which may be sooner than we thought!
