The apartment was amazing! We never expected to find 3 bedrooms and three full bath with a view of the water for such a reasonable price. The space was light and airy. The beds were comfortable and the location was perfect. Carlos did a fabulous job of introducing us not only to the apartment but to Lisbon as well with great recommendations for restaurants and sights to visit. I would highly recommend this rental and hope to return soon.

This apartment worked very well for our 3 night stay in Lisbon. The location in Alfama was perfect for experiencing the day to day activities of Lisbon. Our party of 3 couples each had there own bedroom and bath, the seating area was comfortable and the kitchen well appointed. Its central location to so many wonderful restaurants, small grocery, and bakeries was great. We had a great stay and appreciate being able to use the apartment

We slept 8 adults and it was very comfortable. Having 3 bathrooms is key. The location is great, a few cute bars on the street which are easily walkable. Easy access to public transit. Would recommend!

We had a great time staying in the apartment in Alfama. Lots of restaurants and coffee shops nearby, and only a few blocks to the Metro and train station. The apartment was very clean, and had everything we needed for our stay. The owner, Paula was so nice and helpful when we were booking our trip, as was Nuno, the representative who checked us in and out of the rental.

Our extended family of grandparents, parents, and two teen children enjoyed this charming, spacious flat. The manager recommended the restaurant Nonna just a block away. We ended up dining there 3 times in our 5 day stay. The owner Manuel was fantastic and the food was stunning. We highly recommended the place to stay and that dining experience.

This is a lovely apartment in the heart of Alfama. It has a beautiful view of the river and easy access to the city. The street outside of the apartment can be loud but the windows block out most of the noise when you close them. Great place to stay.

First pluses: well stocked kitchen, close to train station/river.clean sheets, minuses: bathrooms were beyond small, one ensuite bathroom was basically not usable (larger bathrooms on cruise ships interior cabins), manager was responsive but claimed their property faults were part of my "bad luck wave".. , one door to outside balcony was broken, there was a protruding nail in the floor that caught my wife's foot. not the cleanest but maybe "B" grade. tv was missing a component and had to call to get resolved. Now for the location pluses close to train station. Minus noisy street and cigarette smoke (so keep the windows closed and be warm or keep them open to let a breeze in and endure the noise and smoke,all hours) So the unit was ok but we would not stay there again Also we had an addition to our party (1) who was only staying 2 nights and the manager charged for (6) and would not pro rate the additional fee. This to be taken up with VRBO.

Our stay in Lisbon was very special. The apartment is easy walking distance to shops food and sights. Fatima and Carlos were ready to answer any questions and made our stay very comfortable. The apartment is full of beautiful old world charm with all the modern you need in todays world. It’s a great place to stay!

Lovely spacious apartment in great location. Management were easy to deal with and very helpful. We were a group of five friends and had a wonderful stay here. A little bit of noise carried from the street at night. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Right in the heart of Alfama great location only fault with this property for older guests is no lift and having to carry luggage up flights of stairs

The apartment was adorable, spacious, and located close to the train and buses (although its cheaper and faster to take a taxi). We loved the gorgeous high ceilings and the fact that each of the three of us had our own bedroom and bathroom. If you are a light sleeper, take the bedroom in the back, as the streets are lively late into the night.

We really enjoyed staying in this apartment. Great for 2 couples. Superb location in Alfama. I was worried about noise but we didn't have any problems. Great check in by Daniel. It's an old building and there are stairs!

Lovely apartment and great management. Carlos spent a great deal of time going over must-see and must-eat locations in and around Lisbon. His recommendations were spot on - especially his suggestion to spend more time at Quinta da Regaleira than at the Pena Palace. Fatima was extremely responsive when we had an issue overnight (in the early AM on New Years Day no less) and took care of our issue promptly and efficiently. I cannot stress how helpful the apartment management was. The apartment itself is very spacious and nicely appointed. It was homey and comfortable with many items like hand soap, coffee, dish washer detergent provided. The apartment is located a few minutes from the metro and several bus stops (Carlos gave us some VIVA cards to get started). A Pingo Doce market is in the metro station nearest to the apartment with lots of pre-made foods and whatever else you may need. There are a number of restaurants within easy walking distance of the apartment but getting to the area around Rossi Station only takes about 15 minutes by walking and the metro. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend this apartment as well as HEART and SOUL for a Lisbon stay.

The wine and the biscuits were a nice touch and much appreciated.The apartment is on the second floor(not counting the shop floor), it had character and made us feel as Portuguese for a few days.We also rented a couple more apartments from Eduardo and Fatima, all in the same street few meters away from each other.Everybody had the same excellent impressions and we would recommend the Remedios I apartment wholeheartedly to anyone wanting to experience Lisbon as local.Thank you Heart and Soul!

The layout of the place was unique but it worked for the 6 of us. It was a bit noisy, making it a little difficult to sleep, but otherwise comfortable. One of the bathrooms was pretty smelly and should be addressed. Cute kitchen and living room area with lots of sunlight.

Our family of 5 traveled from Nashville, Tennessee to Lisbon for the first time and were fortunate enough to stay in Alfama. From the cobblestone/tile streets, to the cafés, hearing the fado music at night, watching the ships come in to port, walking to the cathedral and castle... or just around the city… We fell in love with this place. The property was fantastic and having three bathrooms was luxurious especially considering the location. Carlos was tremendously kind and offered so many wonderful suggestions that made our trip even more memorable… We cannot wait to come back to Lisbon and hopefully stay here again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay and a lifetime of memories.

This property worked well for our group. It was a five minute uphill walk from the train station. The location was fabulous. The building is an older building in one of the historic districts of Lisbon. We loved the atmosphere! The owners were very easy to deal with and very professional. We would highly recommend it.

We had a great time here. Our flight arrived late and we were still personally greater by Francisco who showed us around and made us feel at home. The washing machine was out of service but we had great support. Our laundry was picked up, cleaned and returned the same day -a very nice touch. It is a great location within walking distance to the train/metro station and many of the sites. We had a great stay.

6 of us stayed a week in Lisbon visiting Sintra, Cascais, and Lagos by train.The apartment has old world charm and a great view of the river with close proximity to train, metro, bus, tram, ferry,and taxi. There were many stores, grocery and restaurants in the Alfama area that served excellent food. The staff of Heart and Soul were helpful, responsive and lots of fun.

3 couples stayed here at the end of Sept 2017. We had a good introductory meeting with Francisco where he provided information about Lisbon and our neighborhood. He left us with a bottle of wine and cookies as a welcome. The kitchen had some essentials supplies to get us started. The apartment was clean and the rooms comfortable. It was quiet considering it was in the city. The location was very convienent. Would recommend the apartment to others.
