I usually don’t write reviews but the negative review above just can’t be the only review of this gorgeous property! We have been to this beautiful house for the 3rd year running this July. Just as the 2 years before we loved it!!! We travelled with our twins, who are now 3 years old. Let me assure you that if the scorpions were really any problem we would not have travelled there with 2 small children! The house is spacious (we travelled with our nanny plus grandparents), welcoming and the owners are going out of their way to be helpful. What is it that we like about the property: • The pool is fenced off, ensuring that our small children can’t get to the pool area on their own. • The house is carefully, tastefully and lovingly decorated. I have never had an issue with anything not being clean or anything being broken, ever! • The living room / library is very cosy with the added advantage of staying very cool even during the heat of July (something my parents really appreciated). • Having rented from the owners now for 3 years I’ve gotten to know them a little bit and know that they are both passionate about cooking. It really shows in the kitchen. We have always found all the usual kitchen utensils and more (and all in perfect working order) • There are many shaded areas all around the property, giving you good refuge from the lunch time heat. • The grounds are huge! Giving plenty of space for the kids to run around (there’s even a small playground). • The property is within easy reach of food shopping and restaurants. Beaches are also easy to get to • The owners are fantastic and a pleasure to deal with! They lived in the UK for many years, so nothing is ever lost in translation... ? This is not some investment property for them. It’s their home away from home. So everything is lovingly and carefully taken care of. They have always gone out of their way to make us feel welcome (provided additional baby cots, let us borrow some of their own kids toys, are always to hand with good restaurant tips). I’ve found them to be very responsive. So whenever I had to get into contact with them (mostly just for some restaurant recommendations) I just send them an email (very good free Wifi at the house as well). They would always get back in no time whatsoever (so I can’t understand this point of the previous reviewer either). I've very recommended this villa to friends and some of them have been to the villa. They loved it just as much as we do!

if you like sharing this beautifully restored Rustico villa with spiders, centipedes and Scorpions, yes Scorpions( 5 found in 2 days inside the house), then do go to this villa, as indeed the views are breathtakingly beautiful and the house is large enough to accommodate 8-10 people, however be prepared to clean the toilets on your arrival, mend the curtain pole in the children's bedroom and boil your water in the pan, as the owners advertise amenities, but not all provided on arrival. Oh, and if you think that phoning the owners and letting them know of your findings will get you anywhere, well, then you have just wasted your money on an international call, because the owners only interested on receiving your money 6 weeks before you go, after that you are on your own. Worst service, worst villa, will not recommend to anyone
