The facility is beautiful, natural beauty.

I booked a cabin and got a room in the main hotel. It was very noisy. Service in the restaurant is slow, inattentive, unfriendly and closed before it was supposed to, hence no service for dessert.

The beautiful landscape makes it the perfect spot to scape from the city and be close to nature. They have many activities to spend the day, and delicious pastries and hot chocolate at the chocolateria!

It is an absolutely beautiful Hosteria in Cajas. The natural beauty is unforgettable. There are several restaurants to enjoy. Of course everyone’s favorite is La chocolateria. The breakfast was a large buffet with many choices. We also went on a tour to the small historical village and gold mine. It was very interesting! My husband and grandson went horseback riding. Their guide was extremely friendly and informative!

I loved the environment, the views, the room was clean and comfortable. The staff was attentive most of the times. Good food overall.

The tigrillo they serve at breakfast buffet was everything but tigrillo. Could have tasted better. Also super sad they don’t have almond milk, lactose intolerant people don’t have many options for coffee. An advice if you’re staying there: stay with them when they’re checking you out and make sure to see your towels and sheets are ok for them, otherwise they might try to charge you for some “coloration” on the towels. Other than that, it was great.

Misleading “travel-sustainable” tag, and poorly designed rooms wrt sound, light and smoke smell. Overall very disappointing for the price tag. A lot of ongoing construction for future development with no integration with the natural environment. From photos this hotel advertises itself as a quaint luxury chalet but it is actually a very commercial operation with a huge concrete parking lot, in complete opposition to sustainability. Avoid if you need a good night’s sleep. There was absolutely no sound-proofing in our deluxe room, so you hear your neighbor’s conversations as if they were in the same room. No outside windows, only one window to the corridor, with no light-blocking curtains. Strong smell of smoke from the open fireplace, which we did not use. Do not book based on activities either. There is no “canoeing” per say, unless 5 paddle strokes in a tiny body of water is your thing.

Hotel is clean, spacious with friendly staff. The location is the best for visiting Cajas national park. The breakfast provides great Ecuadorian food. Highly recommended.

Its beautiful surroundings. Also, the employees seemed very helpful. I was also pleasantly surprised at how close it was from Cuenca to Dos Chorreras. Very nicely arranged gift shop, too, if I had had more time...

Well, the food wasn't great. It was also a little expensive for one night with our two small dogs. Wanted to have a fire in the fireplace, but our room was really very warm and couldn't find a way to cool it down any so we could enjoy the fireplace. Maybe next time.

it was an amazing experience. if anyone wants to touch nature and all its beauty, this is the place to be. I would greatly recommend. The rooms are exceptional, the food, the variety of places, activities and things you can do. I can’t wait to come back to this location. keep up the good work.

Everything is a Magical place

Our room was gorgeous to match the views, and the fireplace is a must for next time, too. Breakfast was outstanding. The llamas all around were a nice touch. The staff were all friendly and professional, and a few spoke English to help with our poor Spanish.

The hotel was clean and comfortable. We got a free upgrade to a bigger room The restaurant and buffet at the hotel were good. The staff were friendly.

The room was nice and big but it is just next to ball room. The first night we stayed there, there was loud party. A bit disappointing to be in the mountains and have salsa music blasting in the middle of the night. The room is also next to a storage unit, so in the morning you can hear a lot of noise when people are bringing in and out stuff from storage. So, it's was a nice big room with jacuzzi and fire place but SUPER noisy :( Finally, the door needs an upgrade. Light and noise come through it
