Breakfast was great and people seemed nice enough

The hotel was clean enough although hairs stuck to soap wasn’t pleasant and dust on mirrors. They gave us the wrong room so had to change after first night. The TV in first room didn’t work, room was very hot but as it was on a main road I didn’t feel safe having windows open, maybe they could supply a fan? It was extremely noisy. Second night I was woken by people above us’ phone keep buzzing and very noisy people which wasn’t down to the owners but a polite notice to all residents wouldn’t go amiss to be considerate of noise

What a pity, read this is for sale now. Another Covid victim! Very nice manager, but had to do all by herself. Definitely value for money! Great location, great breakfast.

New owner could look into noise demping floor between lower and upper floors.

Great location, the hotel is situated by the river. It was peaceful and quiet. The breakfast was delicious and our room was very nice and comfortable. The staff were very kind, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay.

The lady at reception was very friendly, and the location is great for any and all hikes, climbs, etc. in Snowdonia. There is also free parking at the property.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with the B&B. Breakfast was way too late for anyone wanting to do any hiking or walking, as it was only served from 8.30am, which for most mountaineers or walkers is too late as it means you won't get your cooked option until after 9ish. On top of that, I was a little bit shocked at the state of reception - it was cluttered with children's toys, random furniture, boxes of stuff; it just didn't feel welcoming or guest-focused. I do believe the lady at reception is on her own, so I do feel for her, but I have seen reviews from months ago with the same comments, and this really is something that needs to be sorted to make guests feel welcome.

We weren't expecting much when we booked the place but it pleasantly surprised us! The rooms, though small, were quite cosy, clean and comfortable and had everything one could need for a comfortable stay. The view and the location is the most amazing part about it. Not too far from train station and city centre. The river flows right in front of it. I gave an 8 because there is no full time staff at the reception in case you need any urgent help. But, if I had to choose again, I would definitely go for it!

staff was friendly and accommodating; breakfast was well-made; sheets were clean and we appreciated having a minifridge in the room.

unfortunately the room was quite damp, stuffy, and smelled a bit of mildew. There was a dehumidfier but it leaked when running. In the bathroom, the shower door was not well-sealed and water leaked all over the floor and the fan did not work. Towels were not left in the room. Opened milk container from previous guest left in the minifridge.

A clean comfortable room, WiFi, TV, tea and coffee making facilities. Mrs Yu was a friendly hot and cooked us a good breakfast every morning with a good choice. A good location just a short walk into the village.

The place looks a little tired and not very attractive from the outside. But clean and comfortable inside.

Simple rooms with large shower and clean . Kettle in room with plenty off tea and coffee provided.All staff very pleasant. The view from our room was beautiful 😍

The room was an en-suite.

The hotel itself was very dirty,from the reception up to our room and inside the room.Hoovering is an unknown thing there,the caprets were filthy, skieting boards black,cobwebs everywhere. The mattress is extremely soft-felt like a waterbed, and as a double bed, it was extremely small sizewise.The kettle in the room was still holding the water of the previous guests.As a service throughout our stay,they only emptied our bins. There was mould on the ceiling.After the 2nd night , we decided to leave a night early as things were just disgusting. However, we paid for another night. The location is great,close to all the hiking locations,but if you wait for the breakfast which starts at 8:30, then you will end up having no parking place left for you to hike.
