Private double room with balcony was great. cleaned dajly. Short walk from 7/11. Beach was a bit farther away, walkable distance but easier with scooter rental

Had a decent vibe and a few people hanging around. I imagine the atmosphere will be better as visitors return to pre covid levels

The stay were exceptional, super clean room. Staffs were super polite and helpful with giving informations . We were also able to rent a scooter from hostel for only 250bht/d .

The staff was super friendly! I left my swimsuit in the bathroom and she ran to get it for me! such a sweetheart.

Not really their fault but it was SO hot outside…over 40! the AC could barely keep up when the room was facing the sun.

Being of a certain age and no longer backpacker I booked a private room and was so happy as it was so comrtable and exceeded my expectations.

When I visited it became hot and sultry so that curtailed some of my visits but the locality gave me much and for only 130 b you can ride a taxi down to the beach. In fact I liked Bang Niang beach and sunbeds plus restaurant Nong Prew.

It has everything you could dream of a hostel: very comfy beds, very clean, calm environment, nice common areas, good facilities…

I was very disappointed with the staff and especially the one on WhatsApp. I needed to go to Koh Tao and they were very not helpful at all. They take ages to reply any question on WhatsApp even when it’s mentioned that they read the message. They provide very little and confusing information, giving you no choice but looking by yourself whereas for Khao Lak there is no information about the transportation online. They clearly didn’t want to help whereas they are selling at their reception some tours and transportation packages so you would think that like in most hostels they are ready to help you. The first time I went to this hostel also, they insisted for me to say at what time I will arrive, which I said, and when I was there (in the afternoon) I had to wait for 45min before the staff comes for the check-in. This time, when I arrived even if I informed that I would be 1 hour late and would arrive at 6:30pm when I arrived the staff was leaving and I never see her again during my stay. Whereas I had said on WhatsApp I still need information for the bus + need absolutely to do a laundry. In a word, go there only if you have already planned your transport and if you don’t need any service from them.

The staff were extremly helpful and accommodating. Asked us to join for drinks on the nights we stayed on the veranda and around town, great family feel. Also helped book transport to other places. Loved the extra touch that they had a cat and a local dog hanging put around the place.❤

Super clean hostel. Staff very friendly. The only thing I didn’t like was that in the dorms, only the lower bunks had curtains, the upper ones didn’t, so you don’t have privacy in your bed, but wasn’t a big issue

Great location - very convenient for travelling around the area. 7/11 across the road. Rooms were comfy and clean. I rented a scooter with no issues. Staff incredibly helpful and friendly. Nice indoor and outdoor common areas.

amazing place! i stayed there a few weeks ago. the staff is amazing!! the girl at the reception was extremely nice! it is extremly clean! the owner was extremly honest with me, he helped me with my tours and even booked one bus ticket for me at one price then it was more expensive and he didnt tell me to pay more, he paid for the difference, and he even took me to the bus! thanks a lot! i will miss this little family in khao lak

Definitely worth staying again. The room (and the house) in general is super clean- maybe one of the cleanest hostel I've been to. The hostel locates in a small quiet alley but just around 100m to the main road and 200m to Bang Niang Market - exactly what I am looking for. The owner and his staff were all very friendly and helpful. Nothing to complain.

I will be back :)

Covid and end of rainy season (Nov) meant there were not many other guests staying to socialise with but this is not the properties fault. Now many more tourists will visit so I’m sure it will be a great stay

I had a lovely time staying at Mind Home Hostel. Nook, the owner, was very helpful and welcoming. He gave my friends and I some great recommendations about where to visit. The hostel is easy to find, is good value for money and is also very clean. I love that there is a fridge and utensils, and a water machine (hot+cold both). And Nook was even kind enough to share some mangosteen from his farm! I also loved the sofas and seating area downstairs. The beds were very good, lovely shower with warm water and a balcony that came in very useful for drying clothes. The air conditioning made sure the room didn't get too hot. I liked that there are lockers with built in locks, so not to worry if you don't bring your own. I made friends in the hostel with another traveller and I hope to stay in this hostel again when I revisit this part of Thailand. Thank you for having me!

The only possible improvement I can think of is for the beds to have individual curtains. But this for me is a minor detail!
