I can’t support the other reviews. The Finca does not hold up to the promises it makes, neither by location, food, service or honesty. We stayed there and needed to leave early; it was in person promised that we do get a refund. The refund never was made despite word of the owner. After our leave the owner does not reply to any contact attempts, neither mail, booking or phone. I do believe in a person’s word, you strongly disappoint me.

booked a suite but only get a garden room as the suite is already taken, however, they didn’t refund the difference for rates as they say the rates for the room changed daily and on the day I arrive the price for the garden room is higher. the date I booked the room is lower, but I mean that’s why I booked the room beforehand I pay the price shown when I booked ? breakfast is abit poor not much options and the fruits are not cut.

Son Mercadel is a beautifully restored family Finca offering lovely rooms with many personal family treasures and traditions. Very welcoming and a lovely tranquil place to stay. Would recommend and will definitely visit again.

The shower was very small, and it would have been nice to have tea and coffee in the room, but otherwise it was all perfect

Great place in local area. Beautiful house with a lot of interesting stuff from the old days. Nice atmosphere and friendly people. If you want to get away from the bussy tourist spots: this is the place!

Sunch a lovely place! The garden is absolutely amazing..the decor is shabby chic..very well designed..in the evening all the lights are on..very romantic! we had an entire peaceful day at the pool,reading a book in the middle of some beautiful trees..like a tiny forest..a secret garden.Great place if you want silence and nature.

The breakfast wa not so good and the coffee..horrible. But you can have at extra price a better espresso..Cheap supermarket food. At this price, should have an upgrade. No fridge in the room. When we asked to put some wines in their fridge, the lady wasn't so content, but she accepted. The entire atmosphere was that you are in somebody's else home and you have to be very silent , not to disturb..

Amazing stay for a true local experience. We stayed for just one night and the host, Maria, was very helpful and attentive to our needs. I recommend to have dinner here, for typical dishes at a very fair price, you won't be disappointed!

Silent, decoration, nature

The house itself and the territory were very impressive, super quiet and beautiful place to disconnect from the outside world!

Wi-fi wasn't strong because of the old stone walls, but it's typical for the old buildings. If you are to choose to dine at the restaurant on site, make sure you know which dishes they serve this night and if those suits you.

Very beautiful quiet place. Good restaurant (except the music). Nice rooms and swimming pool in the garden. Good location to explore the middel of the island and south east coast.

Very poor wifi, only in restaurant, Also no GSM signal. A lot of small ants everywhere. Airco capacity too small for the temperature. Not a bottle of drinking water in the room, charged for the expensive half liter bottles from the restaurant.

The location was superb, very tranquil and relaxing. The gardens are beautiful and very well kept. The general external lounge areas and the outdoor dining areas are very well appointed ideal for a lazy relaxed breakfast or a romantic dinner. The quality and portions of the food is excellent and you should try the dinner at least 1x while you stay, The property is very well appointed with very typical Mallorcan furniture and historical furnishings and decorations. This is a hotel for people who want to get away from the general resort hotels and want a more homely touch. The owners are very attentive to guests needs, are very welcoming and excellent hosts.

It maybe would be nice to have a small fridge in the room but this is a very small negative point.

The team and restaurant were perfect. We did not expect, that they will serve such a great dinner and breakfast. Moreover, team prepared a birthday cake for a kid in our family as we asked. The place is so beautiful, as well as the view from the room. We enjoyed the time there. Thank you for your hospitality!

We would love to habe double bed and not separated because it is very uncomfortable for us. And may be the team could organise some blankets for restaurant, because it is very cold to eat outside in march.

Beautiful, romantic garden and house

Very limited breakfast not as advertised. We have to leave the property as it was impossible to sleep with ants in our bed, it is a shame as we were looking forward to stay at Son Mercadal.

It is a beautiful place if you are looking for a quiet time. I think it is best for a romantic getaway. We were there with two small kids so it did feel sometimes like we were imposing. Also, there was no fridge in the room and we missed it quite a bit.

I wish there was a fridge in the room.
