This apartment was really lovely and so close to town - which is so handy. We walk everywhere - so it suited us perfectly. There was also a metro/tram station very close by if needed and a supermarket 900m away. Our host was very welcoming and helpful. The kitchen had everything we needed and it was a warm and comfortable place to stay.

Our only comment (and it is just a comment, not a complaint) is that the apartment is directly over a pub/restaurant, which is open from 8am to 10.30pm every day except Sundays. While it is not super loud, it could be a little frustrating if you have young kids in terms of getting them to sleep, depending on how busy they are below and whether they are all standing outside or not.

Host invited us on arrival, informed about all ammenities, explained where we can find the market shop, what is worth to see in Porto. Moreover we were invited by nice welcome message and just a bit of porto to taste and enjoy the stay :-) The appartment was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the breakfast and evening meals on the terrace. The location we consider as convenient - 5 min to metro stops, close Douro embankment with multiple bars & shops, close to the famous Luis I bridge and Jardim do Morro with excellent view on the old part of Porto and picturesque sunsets. Don't be misleaded by the surrounding and streets (as seen e.g. on Google maps) - the appartment itself is clean, well equipped, in silent area plus the Host is really helpful.

A great apartment in Gaia. Don't be put off by the appearance of the entrance from the street. This place is a gem! No river view, but an excellent location. Very close to public transport and supermarkets, and walking distance from the Serra do Pilar, the Dom Luis I bridge, and lots of port warehouses. Very clear written guest instructions, and the host was on time and accessible. Highly recommended.

Loved the decor! The apartment is fully equipped with just about everything we could need (although couldn't find the ironing board?) - really clean and well furnished. Nice size for two people, probably still a nice size for four also!

The neighbours had their TV on loud ALL night, every night. Their wall was directly next to the main bedroom and it was basically impossible to get sleep, even with earplugs. The apartment would've been perfect if it had more soundproofing!!

A lot of noise from cars / taxis from the cobbled street at night time (22:00 - 01:00, Friday night - even earplugs were not enough), noise from neighbors at Saturday night (so we had to change to the other bedroom which was not having a shared wall). Maybe we were unlucky as this was not mentioned in other reviews. No shampoo / amenities.

Excellent accomodation, brilliant service, friendly welcome, excellent memories. Our trip to Porto was amazing, unforgettable sights, views, wine cellars, the ocean, cheerful residents, troublefree transports, excellent dishes.
