We all had a great time at Walkers. Quiet location but within minutes of all amenities and restaurants. The house was very clean and well equipped. Great time had by all.

This is s gorgeous property overlooking Lake Windermere, every little detail catered for, even down to the bathrobes ! There was a lovely welcome pack when we arrived which was much appreciated and the views are to die for !!!! We will definitely be booking again !!

Had a wonderful Christmas time with family (all adults) in Helens wonderful boathouse. Can’t fault anything about this place. Certainly had the wow factor response from all of us. Especially the view from the balcony overlooking the lake. Stunning! Very well equipped and totally spoilt with the welcome pack Helen left us. Milk, bread, eggs, fresh orange, butter, wine, too much to mention she’d thought of everything. Even lots of goodies and even left Christmas crackers. A beautiful Christmas tree and the whole place was spotless! Thank you so much Helen for a wonderful stay in your property. I can highly recommend it to anyone thinking of staying, and we’re fussy!

Old boathouse renovated to the very highest standard. Lots of room for 6. Well equipped kitchen. Secluded from the bustle of Bowness but easily within walking distance of the restaurants there. Parking for 2 cars. Possibly the best location for a holiday rental, with a large balcony overlooking Lake Windermere

We stayed for a long weekend at Watson's Boat House. Definitely pleasantly surprised how well equipped the place was. Helen has thought of everything. Very comfortable. The view was spectacular, even when it was raining. We highly recommend it!! Thank you, Helen

This was one of the most relaxing placed I stayed with my family. The host was super nice and the place and items provided with the property were really good. Also, the host recommendations for restaurants were on point. Great food and services on all of them. Definitely will return.

Take the ferry that is 2 minutes away to the other side of the lake which is a lot quieter with really spectacular views if you go to the viewing station - only £1 for pedestrians. We had a minor complication with the boiler and once I messaged Helen she was straight over and showed us what to do and apologised for the little error, she was very polite and was at the end of the phone if we needed her. We all sat on the balcony for breakfast every morning and admired the views and enjoyed the peace and quiet before we started the day with the best coffee thanks to the coffee machine and milk frother! The boathouse was spotless when we arrived and the instructions to get the keys were very clear too. Plenty of space for all of our stuff to be put away so we felt like we were home from home. Thank you for an absolutely great stay and we hope we will be back soon!!

The property had a wonderful lounge/ living area with fabulous views over the lake. Great for socialising in wonderful surroundings. The property is well furnished and extremely clean and well equipped. The central heating is a bit loud when it comes on during the night time but easily lived with for a long weekend. Would recommend and will book again.

Well where do I start? Firstly it's easy to find, with good parking for a couple of cars, a mile's walk from Bowness and all it's pubs, restaurants and shops (plus a few within barely a few minutes walk) and situated in a gorgeous position overlooking Lake Windermere - there aren't many better locations in the Lake District in my opinion! Now to the boathouse itself - you can see it's been completely renovated recently, and the finish is just excellent with quality fittings being used and everything in perfect working order. The pictures do not do the size of the space justice - we stayed as a family of four, but I am in no doubt that it would still be a very generous space for more. Beds were very comfortable, the kitchen reasonably well stocked in terms of utensils, pans and crockery, decent sized smart TV was easy to use. The owner was friendly, communicative but not intrusive, picking up/dropping off the keys was simple too. Will definitely be staying again!

The location of the house was ideal for both Bowness and Windermere. Sitting out on the balcony overlooking the lake was just idyllic. Had to contact the owner due to a breakage and everything was sorted within a few hours. Excellent customer service. Would highly recommend

The accommodation was very clean, very comfy, and very relaxing with stunning views out over lake Windermere. It was so nice that it was difficult to leave to go and visit the surrounding countryside. Ideally situated for walking in to Bowness. All the family enjoyed it. Can't wait to return.

Excellent as ever. Well worth a stay

We stayed at Walkers Boathouse for 4 days and can’t recommend it highly enough. Everything you need and more! Fab location on Windermere. Very easy walk into Bowness-on-Windermere and just steps to the Ferry. Can’t wait to return!
