A fantastic spot on the lake. We love the renovated house. The porch is great to sit on with nice fans for a breeze. We brought a boat with us which we were able to back in the lake ourselves with the ramp on the property. Is it 18 ft fishing boats with a standard with trailer and I was able to use their ramp fine. The doc is in fantastic condition and has been clearly updated. We really enjoyed being able to go out on the lake every day on the boat and come back to a cool and comfortable house. We were even able to practice yoga on the Loft upstairs. It was awesome I was having two full bathrooms to get ready in simultaneously. The open kitchen is beautiful and was easy to make meals in. We even enjoyed some music on the record player! I highly recommend for a beautiful quiet place to stay that's far back in a bay but if you have a boat to bring with you this is a spot you want to be at. I had a well thought out review put together but there’s a 1500 character limit so I had to condense. This property is beautiful but this vrbo property host should not be considered Premier. This stay was super disappointing. The day after we arrived, it was hot in there at around 4:30 pm. I checked out the thermostat and it was 75, even though it had been set at 68. We hadn’t touched it since we arrived. I called and texted the property owner, Sean, to let him know the compressor on the ac was no longer working. He informed me that since it was a Sunday, there was nothing he could do, we had to wait. So that night was pretty miserable. We have a dog who is quite sensitive to the heat so she was vomiting all night. That next day the ac guy came at 2, we ran into him as we were returning from finding dog friendly places to soak up AC. He said it was a clog and it tripped the flood switch, we should be good to go now. Sean texted me that it froze up cause we had it set too low, I stated that we never touched it and he stopped responding. Fast forward to Friday, we’re having a wonderful last day out back on the lawn, the dog and my son are playing in the lake, and the lawn people show up to cut the grass, seriously?! I asked them to leave, the politely declined then proceeded to unload all their equipment. I had to then clean everything up. Called Sean again and he was super dismissive and said they’ll be done quick. So once again, I’m inconvenienced. Not a great week.

This beautiful cabin exceeded my expectations, the pictures on VRBO do not do it justice. The cabin is fully stocked with everything you need & extremely clean. I look foward to staying again next time I visit Lake Norman. The weather did not cooperate when we were there (Tornado warnings!) but I really enjoyed sitting on the porch--reading, drinking wine and watching the storm.

Our stay at Lake Norman was awesome. With 4 adults and 2 kids, we had plenty of room. This was a great cabin on the water. Highly recommend!

Love this cabin and enjoyed the peaceful water access out front! Very clean. Kitchen well stocked. Enjoyed the open concept. Easy to find and quick access to grocery stores, restaurants and movie theater. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful location, nice cabin.

We spent five days in this well appointed lake home around Davidson college graduation weekend. It was just the refuge we needed in between social events! Clean, peaceful, the house had absolutely everything we needed. Every single person in our party raved about the comfortable beds, wonderful shower pressure, and serene lake view. We enjoyed the kayaks and the fire pit, and the fact that there was space for everyone to have space even when extended family joined us for the afternoon. The house is close to grocery stores, gas stations, restaurants, and anything you might need, and an easy 20 to 30 minute drive to Davidson depending on traffic. Everything was very clean in and around the house, seems like a new dock, and there were many thoughtful touches, such as separate towels for the people and the dogs/boats provided and washer/dryer for laundry. Wonderful rental if you plan to bring your dog along, which we did. Owner was flexible and went out of his way for us to have the best stay possible. Can’t say enough good things, hope to get back someday..

Perfect place for us and teen son. Exactly as advertised. Great fishing and terrific new dock. We were comfortable at the property and it was pet friendly and had everything we needed for a happy getaway.

Great cottage on the lake! We spent 4 days here, enjoying the peacefulness of the location and watching the birds, deer and chipmunks. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare a full Thanksgiving feast! We experienced a minor issue with the water when we arrived but the owner was very responsive and quick to get things back up and running. Sean is a great host and wants his guests to have a great experience. We will definitely consider The Cozy Cottage for our next visit to Lake Norman!

Cabin was very comfortable, clean and cozy. Enjoyed having a fire every evening and the beautiful view of the water. Host was easy to communicate with. Only suggestion would be a more comfortable mattress. Otherwise, it was perfect!

The cabin sits at the end of one of the many inlets on Lake Norman amongst some beautiful homes. Quiet, easy access to the lake, and close to restaurants/grocery stores. The cabin was the perfect size for us and our furry friend with a wonderful backyard. We didn't use the upstairs but there were another 3 beds for guests so lots of room. The kitchen was large and well stocked. We had a wonderful stay and would definitely go back!

My husband & I spent the week of our 37th anniversary (Aug 22-27) in this beautiful cabin. We loved everything about it. First off, it was CLEAN. I was stunned by the woodwork upon entering. Powerful wooden beams rose majestically above us. It was just so gorgeous. Everything had a place and everything was in its place. It was open and uncluttered. We were surprised to see an actual record player available with real records. We didn't do much cooking so we didn't take an advantage of all the cookware available. The kitchen was very well stocked and had everything anybody could need. We loved having a washer and dryer so we didn't have to take a load of dirty clothes home. The yard itself was beautiful and well maintained. The neighbors were quiet and the whole week was just very peaceful and relaxing. We don't have a single complaint and would be thrilled to be able to stay again in the future should our plans take us that way. Amazing property and location! Kids had a blast fishing off the dock and caught some keepers! Boat launch is very convenient we were able to dock our boat with ease. House is amazing and super clean and inviting. Spent days on the lake and evenings on the porch or dock. We look forward to booking this property again! Thank you for awesome memories!

This house was amazing. The new dock and private boat ramp were very important for us bringing our own boat down. The house was very clean. We had a wonderful time.

The property is located in a beautiful neighborhood and the dock is absolutely perfect for boaters. Sean was accomodating by allowing us to dock our boat early and leave our trailer as we were coming from another nearby rental. The home has significant potential but definitely felt well-used with the exception of the beautiful kitchen. I did message Sean upon check-in that the home was better than expected, prior to getting to bed that evening. We were disappointed in the cleanliness/condition of the linens, mattress cover and pillows, and provided the host photos upon our departure. We did not ask Sean to correct while we were there since these are basic property maintenance items. We ended up departing 1 day early since we just overall weren’t very happy and felt it wasn’t necessary to stay any longer. Sean called me post stay and I thought it was to apologize since I would have been mortified if someone sent me the photos I sent him. Instead, he was somewhat accusatory asking why we chose to depart when we did, and if it was because we were “just done with the lake”. It was due to not wanting to stay with soiled pillows (which came clean after I washed them with photos to prove), and your undisclosed cameras on the rear deck and parking area. My husband and I are consistently traveling to different areas for new properties, and I understand we all strive for 5 stars, but we did not feel this property was it. I hope others enjoy their stay more than we did because the home is in an outstanding location and the lake is wonderful.

Thank you for having us! We had a great time at this lakefront spot. The kitchen was well stocked and the home itself was great. We spent most of our time on the porch or down at the water which was great for our family.

Enjoyed our stay! Clean cottage, happy with our stay. Got rained out a couple days, but water level was low and could smell the bank. Didn’t have an charcoal for the grill make sure you bring it with you or buy some at the local grocery store. Overall very happy with our stay.

This cabin is as cute as can be. Perfect for a small family, or a girls getaway. Easily accessible, very clean and cozy, stocked well with necessities. The lake dock access was great for having our rental pontoon boat delivered. We will definitely be staying again.

As good as this home looks in photos, it’s twice as good in person. It was so hard to leave! The home was very well stocked with all the comforts of home (and then some), clean, and great layout. The perfect combo of cabin and modern amenities. The view and access to the main channel is unmatched. I highly recommend boat rental. We will definitely book this property again!

One minor issue was quickly resolved, and was a blessing in disguise as it gave me a chance to thank our host personally. My very highest recommendation, our visit could not have been better!
