We had a fantastic stay at Woodsome Lodge for 4 nights over the New Year period. Sara couldn’t have been more helpful and the lovely touches when we arrived only added to this. The house itself was spotless and the lay-out for a group of 6 adults, 5 children and 1 dog was perfect. We used the hot tub every day and so the washing machine and tumble dryer provided was great for all the towels we got through! The location couldn’t be better with a short stroll to the local pub or to the scrummy Harvey’s restaurant. We also ventured to castle hill, the National coal mining museum (very interesting 140m deep underground tour for only £5 pp) and into town for an escape room…..all journeys taking less than 15 mins by car. A perfect New Year break for all the family.

A group of 13 adults and 2 children and 3 dogs from County Durham, Derbyshire and Essex met for a Christmas break. Wonderful house, lots of space inside with an outside hot tub and and great garden xx

Sara has been amazing to communicate with throughout the whole booking process right up to us leaving. Responses to anything were always speedy. The house itself is absolutely stunning and spacious so everyone is comfortable. If they don’t fancy socialising they can slip away into one of the many bedrooms and not be bothered. Everything was spotless on arrival! The hot tub was the perfect place to relax and have a couple of drinks when we arrived. Sara can help recommend catering if you’re in need of anything during your stay. Honestly couldn’t have wished for a better host to put us at ease. Some of us went to Freeklime (boulder climbing) on the Saturday morning and Harvey’s for a meal on the Saturday night before we left. The location was perfect and the little touches on arrival were very much appreciated 🥰 we had the most perfect weekend and it’s ideal for relaxing hen do’s if like us not everyone drinks. Also, can’t remember his name but if you get a chance to talk to the lovely man who shuts the hot tub up at night please do. He had great stories to tell 😊 tips for future stays - take different towels for the hot tub as well as showering and take some flip flops to reduce mess from going in and out. Would love to have an excuse to visit again xxxx

We all had a fantastic time at your property. Everything you could possibly need was at hand. The welcoming cake, biscuits & wine was a lovely touch of class👌🏻. The kids of all ages😉enjoyed the hot tub and Steve who looked after it was a great laugh & full of local knowledge. There are lots of good places to eat within the local area and plenty of places to explore. I definitely would recommend to anyone Many thanks again Sara Cheers Dave

What a lovely place! The house is fabulous and very spacious. We were 3 families and had ample room for all. Very clean and everything there as essentials. The hot tub was a bonus, amazing and well looked after. Anything to improve? Absolutely nothing, a superb property in a wonderful area.

Beautiful house, beautiful location and a very relaxing atmosphere. Hosts were brilliant with staying in contact and provided details for us to have catered food in on the day of my partner's birthday. The house was very spacious and exceptionally clean. The hot tub just added to overall bliss of the place and we couldn't have stayed in a better location. We will definitely be visiting again, thanks so much for your hospitality Sara! Xx

Me and my hens stayed here for two nights and I couldn't fault it, so relaxed and in such a good location. The weather was beautiful so we managed to make the most of the hot tub and garden area as well as the short walk to Harvey's where we ate lunch on the Saturday as recommended by the host of the house. The house was clean and tidy and nicely decorated with plenty of room for everything we needed. Thank you for having us!

A great time with all the family under one roof -at last!We all had a wonderful time in a beautiful house in lovely well kept gardens and of course the star attraction was the hot tub!!There is plenty to see and do in the area for all ages,we loved it !

We had a lovely relaxing stay at this beautiful house. Very roomy and welcoming. Great service from Sara and the team, always happy to help.

Myself and my family were celebrating my birthday as I was turning 21 and we wanted a little get away to enjoy the occasion. Not that we had low expectations walking into the property but we never thought it would be as good as it was. The initial cleanliness of the cottage was immaculate and it felt not lived in. Every room had a all bed mads up and there was no dirt not dust anywhere. Spotless. Sara provided everything required including cups, toilet roll, pots and pans, cutlery and even supplied a cake and some brownies to welcome us. It was small touches like this that just made the whole stay. There was simple rules to follow such as noise level which although can be off putting really aren’t an issue. It’s not asking to be silent just to be respectful that you aren’t in a festival and to not use disrespectful language when they have neighbours. At 10PM Steve, one of the neighbours, comes to lock the hot tub and you are asked to make your way in which after a day of games and being in the tub .. we were more than ready to do so. He also chatted and offered some useful history on the cottage and walks available. He truly was amazing. Games, DVD’s and wifi were all provided to ensure you were never left bored. There were two pubs down the road about 7 minutes walking distance that we went to and again the staff there are so lovely and welcoming, we had such a laugh. Shops such as aldi and Morrison’s were just past the pub so it’s very local to shops. Finally I want to say how organised and proper Sara has been. She replies instantly with any questions and sends you every detail required to enjoy your stay and be fully aware of what you are entering into. I can’t stress enough how amazing the stay has been and we are already planning our next stay. I couldn’t recommend the property enough :)

Enjoyable stay.

We all had a great experience staying in Fenay Bridge. The property was great for a family with kids and grandparents. The hot tub was a real treat and communication with the owner fantastic.

The owners were great in the current climate they kept us well informed, the property was spotless and facilities great can’t recommend it enough

Had a great weekend in Sara’s home. With 2 teenagers, a baby & 8 adults we had room for everyone and more. Hot tub was thouroughly enjoyed! Anyone booking just to note that there is a property manager who comes at 10pm to close the hot tub & usher you inside (we had missed this in the booking info).

16 of us stayed in the house for a hen weekend. The location was great, in a quiet area but close enough to Leeds for a night out. The decor was fantastic, and all the facilities up to scratch. Lovely rooms and bathrooms, and of course we made full use of the hot tub! Great hosts and house, would recommend.
