Fantastic location in the old town. No cars allowed, only foot traffic. Close to bars, restaurants and shopping for both tourists and necessities such as banks, etc…the beach was only a 15 minute walk away where you could rent beach loungers and the umbrella for the day. Casa Antica was comfortable and clean. If you’re looking for a Four Seasons high end hotel, this is not for you but if you’re someone that appreciates the charm of an old building but with the convenience of a quaint small accommodation then consider this place. The old harbour area has many restaurants along the harbour to enjoy and you can walk all the way from one end to the other and back if you like. It’s especially beautiful in the evening when it’s cooled down a bit and the lights come on. My stay at the casa antica included the breakfast which was served at the restaurant just seconds from the hotel was so nice. The restaurant had a great location to relax and people watch.

The breakfast lacked the pastries, olives, cheeses, tomatoes etc. that we found in many similar properties.

Stunning location, steps from the harbor/restaurants and in one of the most beautiful parts of Old Town on one of the cutest streets. spacious, cutely decorated, and lovely balcony. Our host was wonderful, the taxi driver (who the hotel set up for us) helped us with our bags to the hotel and then our host greeted us. She also took the time to show us a map she had prepared with recommendations for several restaurants.

the only thing I would say I didn’t love (and I did read about it in other reviews so I knew going into it) is that it’s located above a jazz bar and sound from the people below in the streets and bar can be loud. We were there on a Friday/Saturday so I expected it, but anyone who has trouble sleeping should be aware of it or being ear plugs, otherwise the place was perfect.

We enjoyed our 7 night stay a lot. Argiro helped us with the check-in and concierge-like information, she was really helpful and with a positive attitude. We really appreciate her help!!! Her colleague, the lady that was coming every day and cleaning our room - She was really sweet also and always smiling. We are very thankful for how the staff treated us during our stay.

Unfortunately, although the building is very beautiful, it has old wood floors and you can hear the neighbors from above.

The room. I was so impressed how they renovated and decorated it by using old stuff in a reviving way. I felt history, warmth and care in the room. The host was nice and told us many spots to visit. Also I was happy to find pinches at the balcony as we did some laundry.

Be careful when you use hair dryer especially when you are air conditioning. The breaker might trip. (But the host responded me quickly and told how to recover!)

Such a gem, I almost want to keep it to myself! Tasteful Mediterranean shabby chic meets Carrie Bradshaw’s apartment. Perfect for solo female travellers or a couple. The bed, the room, quaint balcony and views, the people and perfect location around the corner from old town - without it’s noise. The only sounds were notes of tasteful soft jazz from the characterful fagotto jazz bar and the shop below. I extended my stay by a day and will certainly return!

Nothing I didn’t like but I can see that late night sounds in peak summer might need to be factored if people want a quieter place.
