Spacious accommodation in a beautiful setting, it is central for the seaside and surfing as well as the countryside and Exmoor. The outdoor areas are peaceful in the sunshine or shade with walks around the property too. Matt and Pru are thorough and thoughtful with the information and items provided. We had a lovely stay. Our girls loved the hot tub. The outdoor area was perfect for our dog. It was very peaceful. The cottage was great and it was brilliant to have some downstairs rooms and bathrooms. The only downside would be that Wifi was a bit weak and our phone service was not great. You also need to be prepared to drive on country lanes quite a bit and it is 20 minutes to a supermarket. Otherwise, we had a lovely holiday.

It is enough space for the seven of us. We had a great time with the whirlpool, the fireplace and the very good dvd collection- especially on rainy days. Everything was clean, comfortable and cosy. The location was quiet surrounded by nature. A very beautyful house.

We are a group of 4 friends on a walking holiday and this cabin suited us perfectly. Plenty of room and a lovely garden. I'm afraid I can't comment on the hot tub as we didn't have time to get in it!

Loved this property, my children thought it was like staying in a tree house!! The house was clean and had everything you needed, the hot tub was a bonus. We loved that it was off grid and that they are so keen on recycling. The house is perfectly located for some great days in North Devon and some fantastic beaches. Would definitely come back.

What a gorgeous place very relaxing and tranquil stunning views i didn't want to go home, the cabin was well equipped with everything we needed would definitely stay again.

We all have a fantastic week at Woodpecker Lodge, really was home from home with everything you need and thought through. Our dog loved the grounds and walks and the living in the forest didn’t disappoint with Mr Woodpecker himself and friends of an evening owls, peacock. The main town was just 18mins away all the supermarkets needed there and a great Table Table were we eat out one night. Additional extras like hot tub and log burner were winners too. Being a family who like games nights we took a bag full but enjoyed the ones there also ! As I said thought of everything. Thanks Matt and Pru, see you again

Wonderful

This was our second stay at this property and it was just as good as the first time. The accommodation suited us all and the garden is very secure for the children to run around in. Matt & Pru have done lots of work to the field and they boys loved playing up there. Therefore, overall, I do not hesitate in recommending this property for a lovely holiday.

Just what the doctor ordered! A beautiful lodge so well equipped. Just what we were looking for, 4 days of complete relaxation. We were so lucky with the snow which made everything so magical especially just before Christmas. Will definitely look to book again maybe with extended family. Thank you.

A lovely lodge for a relaxing weekend away with my family, had all we needed for a great time together. Would highly recommend staying at this property.

Woodpecker Lodge was great for our family holiday of seven adults - enough bedrooms, bathrooms, seating and a large table to accommodate us all. It was also very clean which gets a big tick from us. The garden was perfect for our dog - spacious, safe and enclosed. He also liked being able to run right around the lodge on the walkway. We all enjoyed exploring the private woodland and walking in the meadow. We enjoy cooking and the kitchen was equipped with everything we needed. However, one drawback was the under-counter fridge which isn't large enough to house a week's worth of food for seven people. It would have been nice to have a few more mugs too. Thanks to Matt and Pru for a lovely stay.

Beautiful property, clean & well equipped, we all had a great relaxing holiday. Very quite & peaceful. The only downside we found was the distant & time we had to travel her get to any attractions, but property as described. Thank you

We really loved this cottage. It was perfect for our short break for a family wedding. The cottage was comfortable,very clean and well presented and well equipped It was lovely to meet Matt who made us feel very welcome. We would loved to have stayed for a longer period of time.

We enjoyed a luxury of the hot tub and did many trips withing 20 min drive to spectacular amusements, booked coastal horse riding sessions as well as tasted great fish and chips experience in local sea town called Colyton. Very dog friendly environment with a lots to offer in terms of walks, bbq outdoor games. We would definetly recommend it, the cottage was spacious, very clean and everything matched the description. Excellent property, in great surroundings. Well equipped and all mod cons even though it's off grid. The largest bedroom with the balcony could do with another radiator in it (cold at night) but other than that, can't fault it. Would happily book again!

It was absolutely amazing we stayed during storm Eunice and Matt and pru made sure we was safe, made sure our car was safe (from the trees) The cabin was absolutely beautiful, Matt come daily to do the hot tub making sure levels was perfect etc. They was just up the lane if we needed anything. The house is very equipped with everything you could need! Was a very quite stay and I could honestly say all ages would enjoy it were a young family and we absolutely loved it also exmoor zoo is 6 mins away and it’s a great zoo, there’s so many things to do around you days out etc there’s also a pond on the 22 acres of land your on so much more to do than we first thought! We definitely recommend!! Hopefully we will be back soon 💙 Thank you Matt and pru for the amazing stay! P.s we hope you got the fallen trees sorted without too much headache xx
