We absolutely loved where we stayed, the beach is so close you can even hear the waves at night, the grandkids loved the pool, it was a lovely relaxing holiday

Remote for carpark , wouldn’t work to secure car in correct carpark ,so it was a hassle with luggage and security with car and we only had 1 set of keys given which was a hassle with 5 people.

Had trouble with one remote entering the gated car park…..took many attempts to open….. Foxtel controls didn’t work so we bought new batteries & still had issues. Wouldn’t normally watch tv but it was the Kings coronation. Apt smelt of damp. Washing machine didn’t work, maybe have the apartment equipment serviced & check out for future quests. No uber service in the area.

my unhappiness has to do with the booking process. I booked through Booking.com and the info I got at the time of the booking was that keys were available on site in reception with latest pickup 9pm. Not so. at 5pm on day of arrival got call from LJ Hooker to say keys needed to be picked up from their premises in Kingscliff. The link they gave me to retrieve keys from delivery system didn’t work. They did provide an emergency number and after waiting some time someone got back to me and was able to remotely release the keys to us. we then drove to the unit some 20 minutes away but didn’t actually know what number the unit was. Again we had to phone emergency number and after waiting nearly an hour someone texted us the number of the unit which was 8. I now know that the deal was Cotton Beach 8 Escape and the 8 was the number of the unit but at the time I thought the 8 referred to the type of Escape. why couldn’t the title say Unit 8? Maybe I should have worked it out at the time but I have 3 university degrees and it just didn’t occur to me. The actual stay was fine, but found the unit a little dirty and very scarce on amenities like soap, shampoo and especially towels. Then we had to return the keys at the end of the stay which added 40 minutes to our trip as in the opposite direction.

Located in a quiet area on the beach, although you cannot see the beach from this lower ground unit, you can hear the ocean while taking a dip in the plunge pool. Wonderful walking tracks along beachside.

The complex was well maintained and the main pool area was very clean. Great access to beach and walking paths.

Apartment was run down and in need of a makover, it needs a good spring clean and furniture needs replacing. The pool/BBQ area in apartment was dirty. Only a double bed in the master room which is way too small for two.

The location was great. The beach was a short distance away. The decor was very outdated and the lounge was terrible. The property needed a better clean in particular the bathrooms. The property did offer a beautiful pool and gym and it was close to an amazing beach front.
