It is such a beautiful place, private, quiet, amazing bed, easy to use pull out mattress, amazing breakfast replenished daily, Julian and Olivia are so accommodating. My daughter said she felt at home while staying here, Big thank you guy!

Tastefully decorated self-contained cottage (separate from main residence) in lovely shady flower-filled gardens. Ample dinner (chicken & salad), pavlova desserts & huge continental breakfast provided meant we could stay in & relax in comfort. Totally private even with blinds open. Reproduction single person claw-foot bath was a surprise bonus. Comfy couch, good wifi & Netflix. Late checkout if no guests following. Scenic & undulating well maintained links golf-course in town adjacent to beach at $15.

Washing/dryer machine was noisier than most so run it when outside (also the dryer cannot be stopped once started without disconnecting mains power & waiting for unit to cool before door can open). Flyspray.

There is a beautiful garden around, the room and all facilities were renewed and clean! There is no noise at all, a perfect place to stay some time!

There are some appliances in the kitchen, but the basic things to prepare a simple meal, as salt, pepper, oil, we’re not provided. The salt was in a rusty package. Given the lack of restaurants open in the city, it would be interesting if at least olive oil, salt, pepper were available!

The view from the room is to a cemetery ,that was bit scary..didn’t knew about it before..

This place is amazing, and the owner so welcoming. We had a beautiful relaxing week-end.

What wasn't to love? So much care and thought was put into our stay, right down to the bath salts. Super comfy bed and that bath was next level! Thank you for being wonderful hosts - we look forward to staying again :)

No soap or handwash. The heater was too small for the large room.

Beautiful and spacious. Olivia is such a lovely host. We booked dinner and breakfast with the unit and it was amazing. Hope to be back one day!

That I didn't spend enough time at the cottage due to family function.

It was clean, cozy, and convenient with all the household appliances. Breakfast was awesome, the generic style of the room was also fantastic, and they also had beautiful garden! I love the stay, Olivia was also very friendly. We were also able to charge out electric car through a cable from the kitchen!

It was a bit hard to find..

The breakfast was awesome and delicious. They had such a variety of menus and they bought it to us. Beautiful setting peaceful place to visit and unwind

Nothing. The bathroom was a dream with a choice of shower or bath the kitchen was perfect and the bed was just right will definitely rebook when we are next down there

The accommodation was outstanding. Beautiful room with huge bed. Warm and cosy. Had everything you could need. Plus a gorgeous bath! Would travel to the Taranaki region just to stay here!

Google maps tells you you can go from the main road and turn onto the street it's on. This isn't correct, go the next street over and then you'll find the turn onto the street.

Beautifully decorated spacious accommodation with a big comfy bed and extra little touches like a little whisky night cap and high class chocolates. Everything you could possibly need in the kitchen too

Very enjoyable stay. The accommodation was first class, very clean, Julian, the host made sure I had everything I needed.

The owners were wonderful, the property exceeded expectations, the breakfasts were second to none. Just a wonderful place for piece and quiet.
