Perfect for a couple and a pet. Comfortable and cosy inside. Secure front porch and back yard. Located in a friendly neighborhood surrounded by trees with a herd of elk as our guests. We didn’t travel far. No need to. We cooked and barbecued at the cabin, sat outside front and back, ate, read and relaxed.

This was my first vrbo experience and it did not disappoint! The cabin was very clean, cozy, and felt like home. It was my oaisis during a very busy vacation. I would highly recommend for solo travelers or couples.

Our rental was easy to find. It was very clean and quite comfortable. Any questions we had were answered right away. We actually got snow the first night we were there! We will definitely stay here again and recommend it highly.

We finally had a chance to get away for some peace and quiet, and picked the Mountain Retreat in Pine - it was just right. In a quiet, treed neighborhood of large lots, the cabin was cute, casual, comfy and cozy. Perfect size for us. The living room was shared with a compact kitchen that covered all the basic needs, the bath was nice with a tub/shower, and the bed was firm and comfortable. There was one TV with DirecTv, so we got to watch a couple Suns basketball games. A bit chilly early in the day, but we still had our morning tea on the covered front porch, and watched a few Elk meander through the neighborhood. Our little pooch, who has deer friends at our place in MT, was very disappointed they didn't come to the porch to say hi! The dog also enjoyed the large, fenced backyard. We walked a couple times through the neighborhood. Many of the homes were not in use - so quiet and tranquil. We very much enjoyed some of the local restaurants - great breakfast one day at The Early Bird Cafe, and a yummy carryout pizza the next at Old County Inn. There is also a small market just around the corner for basic groceries. We walked the trails at Tonto Natural Bridge State Park, and hoped to go the Native American Ruins, but decided against it when we discovered there were many steep stairs. Everything was great, and the owner was helpful - she returned a call almost before I finished the text to her! Wish we had planned to stay a couple more days. Next time!

We enjoyed the cabin, everything worked and there was plenty of cookware to cook with, the bed was comfortable , which is so important.We enjoyed watching movies on Direct TV and also getting out to enjoy the beautiful scenery in the area with plenty of wildlife to enjoy. We were here on a Monday and Tuesday so it was very quiet, however if you like going out to dinner you may have to drive to Payson , there were only a couple of places open.

Perfect little getaway for our anniversary. Cozy little place full of Serenity. We had a relaxing trip away from the hustle of life. We were there for 5 nights and had a very relaxing and enjoyable stay. It was so relaxing and peaceful. Everything was just as shown. The cabin was very nice with a great front and back yard. Enjoyed sitting on the front patio in the late afternoon or early evening and seeing all the Elk pass by. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a quiet and enjoyables getaway.

The property was clean, exactly as described and close to all of the restaurants as well as off road riding. It was the perfect get away for a couple. With Elk roaming around daily, made it fun to enjoy the wildlife. Ann was a great host answering all questions we had quickly. I would recommend this home for a north country get away.

The property was nice. It could use window coverings on the doors and upgrade to the air-conditioning. We had a warm weekend and had a tough time cooling it off the first night. But over all it was a nice place.

Our expectations were exceeded! We had a wonderful time and want to go back. The cabin is cozy, cute, very clean and well-appointed. The back yard is nice. Sitting on the front porch, watching the elk across the street, enjoying the shady trees and sipping drinks was peaceful and relaxing. The Pine/Strawberry/Payson area offered interesting shops and stops. Mid-week, a few places were closed, but there was still enough to see and do in balance with relaxing. We'd choose to skip weekends when the place is a little more hopping. If we go back during the summer, we'll probably bring a tower fan for the bedroom. We were comfortable enough; I just like it colder at night. Communications with the owner were very good. Like I said, we'd love to go back!

Cozy spot for 2! Full kitchen, reasonably priced, close to a favorite hiking trail & quiet!

This cabin was the perfect place to escape the heat and enjoy nature. Sitting on the porch or walking the neighborhood it was common to see elk walking by. The place is close to the quaint shops of Pine and hiking trails nearby. It was an enjoyable long weekend getaway.

Check in process was smooth. Check out instructions were clear and simple. Annie was great to communicate with and very responsive. The cabin description is exactly as listed. The neighborhood was quiet and property was a good size. We weren’t at the cabin very much due to our activity schedule but it suited our needs, providing a comfortable place to sleep with enough room for two people. Kitchen was well equipped for cooking breakfast and dinner. We enjoyed the electric fireplace. Wished our schedule allowed for more time to enjoy the backyard and grill. Would stay again!
