- the pool and jacuzzi are the biggest plus - the apartment is very close to the sea -

- the apartment was half in basement, so it hit our mood - the internet was sometimes working and sometimes not - we had problems with hot water, but the hosts gave us a wine as an apology

Everything was perfect. Our apartment was at the third floor with very beautiful views. It was very big with everything you will need on a vacation. Very clean and cozy. I definitely recommend this apartment especially for families with kids. Will visit it again.

Not as close to the beach as I had expected (I guess "beachfront" means different things to different people.

Perfect apartment in all respects. Clean, large rooms, totally equipped, basics like sugar, salt, pepper, dish detergent, washing machine including washing powder ..... pool, childrens playground, outdoor grill ... the house and garden offers everything (including a little dog :-)). Therefor, the poor beach is not needed.

The house itsself is very clean and modern. The whirlpool of course is a highlight of the stay!

Very nice home, garden and swimming pool. Especially garden area with grill facilities and dinning area. It is great to enjoy fresh grilled meal outside, listen cicada sounds in warm September nights!!! Perfect location to explore west part of Crete island. Quite place, at the same time everything is nearby.

Small construction design failure is that exit to garden is through one bedroom (ground floor apartament). Much convenient it could be from the living room. But this didn't affect our pleasure seriously. Little bit missed private contact with host, everything was arranged remotely, but perfectly.

Very large living room and decent size bedrooms. The pool and other exterior spaces (like tables, BBQ, sunbeds etc.) were more than we expected from such a small property. If you rent a car then the location is a good one for most of the attractions on the western side of the island. There is a beach very close to the property. Very peaceful. We were very happy with what we found. Will probably stay here again when we'll be visiting next time.

We did have some problems with the hot water but it's supposed to have been just an one off problem and the property was very supportive. Not exactly a problem but if you don't come with a car, think carefully.

I love everything about this place and only wish I had booked it for longer! I stayed in the 3rd floor apartment and had the most wonderful views of the sea and the surrounding hills. It was nice and quiet except for the roosters crowing in the morning, the cows in the field next door mooing in the evenings, and the distant sound of the waves breaking on the shore (all of which I loved to hear!). I used to live in the village just up the road - Drapanias. I come back to Crete as often as I can, and have stayed in many hotels and apartments here. These are, by far, the very best. So spacious, clean, and well-appointed. All the basics are provided. When I come to Crete I usually start in Heraklion and work my way west, visiting friends along the way, and finishing up in Falasarna, where I spend the longest time. However, for future trips, I will change things so that I can stay at Martimi apartments for longer, because they are my new favorite place to stay in Crete.

As a guitarist, I was performing at the Stone Theatre which is just 10 mins drive away and found the apartment perfect for our brief one night stay. Although access to the apt is from 3pm, which is standard, We were able to enjoy the pool for an hour before we settled ourselves in. The apt is spacious and super clean with all the facilities one would need for a short or long stay with great WiFi connection. The pool was again super clean and the apt location is in a safe, quiet & peaceful area with sea views and the beach is just a short 10 min walk away or 3 min drive. It was perfect for our needs and if you have children, there's a mini football grass pitch with goals and 2 table tennis tables - How cool is that? I would highly rec to others and would certainly stay again. A++++

That we did'nt stay for longer to enjoy the apartment, its facilities and the area more.. But such is the life of a musician! Rock & Roll !

Good location for trips to beautiful beaches around. Very spacious and clean. Very silent place with great views. Very close (150 m) to the beach (free beds, clean water) and to a taverna (Mitimni camping) with very good food.

Close to the beach (pebbles + sand), and a bar/restaurant there. Nice and quiet place, surrounded by olive and vine tree fields. Direct pool access from our ground floor apartment. BBQ corner with charcoal supply. Places to sit or run around outside. Due to change in our travel plans we asked to prolong our stay for one more night, and got it for free. If you wanna buy groceries or just look around then car is highly recommended. Caring and responsive hosts.

During couple of nights we had some mosquitos. Some days it got quite windy. Nothing you can do about it, just be prepared for that...

Martimi Apartments is situated close to the Beach in North-Western Crete, with easy access by car to the main local attractions and beaches. Good restaurants are nearby. The apartment is well-equipped and there are lots of inflatables and toys for the kids as well as a well equipped barbecue house with coal available. The kitchen came with all amenities as well as some basic spices and a coffee maker. Onions and garlic were hanging in the garden. The pool and garden are very nice.

There were quite some mosquitoes around. Some of the dishes had not been cleaned properly. Generally however, the hosts were very reactive and helpful regarding suggestions and any minor qualms we had.

It was an awesome place. The place was also really quiet, no noises at all (despite the sound of the sea waves on the balcony). There was a lot of equipment like water toys, balls, cutlery,corcksrew etc. The host offered us some ameninies by himself, without asking about anything. Fields and crops around, goats eating the grass, grapes growing just in front of the house, garden and the swimming pool - nothing more is needed for the kids. The nearest, not crowded beach is just few steps from the place, no big hotels around. Also all western Crete biggest attractions are really close from here! I cannot imagine any better place for a family with small children (mine are two and three and a half and they loved it there!)

We couldn't find any shop within the walking distance to the place.

The apartment was very clean and well equipped. A very spacious apartment with a wonderful view to the sea, garden, Pool and to the relaxing green area around. We will come back!
