Good location

very kind hosts. Generally comfortable sleeping area. Would have liked a jug or similar in the room to make coffee first thing in the morning or evening, but the common kitchen was excellent anyway.

Hot water in kitchen was not very hot. Was adequate, though. Noisy motor noise from nearby property during the night.

Everything we needed was in the shared kitchen. A warm wood fire made the lounge and kitchen comfortable on a very cold day.. The staff were very helpful with offers of extra duvets when the heating boiler failed.

Not a problem for us as we checked in early but later arrivals should have had their heating already turned on. The double glazing would have kept their rooms warmer when the boiler broke down.

Rooms were fit for purpose at a good price. Location was excellent for our purpose.

Not all rooms were equal in amenities. Not all rooms had a fridge or tea making facilities in room, but a communal kitchen was available within easy access.

Plenty of space and the kitchen was well equipped with plenty of cutlery and crockery, with cooking facilities.

TV was tricky to operate, but we hardly used it. Cash only. No air-con.

The owners were very friendly and helpful. There were good kitchen facilities.

The room was ok, however the bathroom curtain was quite dirty. There were also no hooks for the bath towels which was a bit inconvenient.

Bed was comfortable and shower was clean, plenty of hot water for showers. Common room was adequate

I thought there was insufficient lighting in places like the corridor and staircase leading to top balcony at front. Also lack of a rubbish receptacle in common room was annoying. Plenty of recycling options but nothing for outright rubbish. Room lacked toilet rolls initially but this was quickly remedied.

Really beautiful little place. The view was spectacular. The room was great value for money. The staff were amazing!

Curtain was a little short for window and security light was on all night outside of it.

Shower was very hot couldn't be turned down which was a safety issue. They do not have efpos only take cash which was a pain

there was a lot of noise at night with overgrown trees rubbing against the windows and buildings. outside leaves a lot to be desired - lots of mud, drums and general house stuff
