Ortigia is very popular and accommodation is sought after. The apartment is in a good position, quiet but only a few minutes walk from the car park, market, main streets and squares. It is quite well equipped, I cooked a proper meal without difficulty, though only one wine glass and no bottle opener was disappointing. Stephania did sort this out. Mosquito screens to the windows were appreciated and the AC was quiet. The bed was comfortable.

The furniture on the terrace was uncomfortable and there was too much so that there was little space. The apartment is small and we had to rearrange things to make it livable. None of the furniture is very comfortable. There is not a lot of storage or table surface either. The price of having a sunny terrace is the 53 steps you have to climb to reach the apartment. Two suitcases at my age made it a sweaty job.

Die Unterkunft hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wir hatten schönes Wetter und konnten die Terrasse geniessen. Man kann ein kleines bisschen das Meer sehen. Am Morgen hat man Sonne auf der Terrasse und am Abend gibt es perfekten Schatten. Es hat ausserdem ein Sonnensegel. Am Morgen nützt das aber nicht, da die Sonne zu flach ist und trotzdem auf den Balkon scheint. Man kann die Zimmer sehr gut verdunkeln. Die Unterkunft ist ruhig gelegen und trotzdem ist man schnell mitten im Kuchen. Das grosse Parkhaus ist 5 min zu Fuss entfernt. Dort kann man für 15 EUR 24 Stunden parkieren. Es lohnt sich sehr, auf Ortigia zu übernachten. Die Halbinsel ist sehr hübsch. Wir waren sogar im Meer baden. Das Wasser ist jetzt im Oktober etwas kühl. Man kann zu Fuss zum Meer, dort eine Treppe runter und dann gelangt man über Felsen ins Meer. Badeschuhe von Vorteil und Taucherbrille empfehlenswert. Das Wasser ist ganz klar. Tipp: Man kann mit dem Auto vor das Haus fahren (schmale Strasse) und das Gepäck ausladen. Danach das Auto in das Parkhaus (Parcheggio Talete) bringen.

Ich finde es immer etwas mühsam, wenn man eine Person treffen muss. Ich liebe Self-Check-In. Das ist bei dieser Unterkunft leider nicht möglich. Die künstlichen Blumen benötigen zu viel Platz. Das ist total unnötig.

The apartment was well equipped, particularly as we like to cook. It was also spacious for 2 people and with the terrazza suited us perfectly. Also great location convenient for bars, restaurants and the beach.

Nothing wrong with the apartment, just a shame no swimming platforms seem to have been built this year.

Just perfect !

This colourful and cosy apartment is very well located in Ortigia with the local bus stopping nearby. The cooking facilities are very good. There is a lovely balcony to sit out on with a narrow view of the sea between two buildings. The bed was very comfortable. It was very quiet at night which allowed a good night's sleep but there are restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance. The host was lovely and left us a bottle of wine and some yummy Sicilian pastries as a welcome gift which was a nice touch.

The shower enclosure is extremely small and the rooms are a little cramped. The property entrance is on the third floor, and there is another steep flight of stairs to access the apartment. There is no lift and the stairs are narrow.

Great terrace, beautiful hosts, great location in Ortigia. Very well equipped.

The steps to access the third floor apartment could be an issue for some people but for us it was well worth the climb!

It was overall clean and comfortable. The location was good. And they had good advice on finding a place to park the car.

I didn't like that the host spoke no English at all and didn't try to answer your questions, just gave a scribbled paper with some recommendations, which was not the question we asked. I felt like it was way to expensive for what we got. Chairs on the terras were not really comfortable.
