After 3 weeks at a resort, the arrival at Hopelchen was like a gated island of tranquility. After making the reservation our host was immediately available over several months. She met us on arrival, and showed us the property. It is a low density condo area. The morning sunrises were stunning, from our third floor perch. The pool we had mostly to ourselves and the beach we shared with 5 or 6 others. The days passed slowly and pleasantly. The week seemed to go by more quickly. Uber transport is best and cheapest to get around, but taxis are available immediately at the front gate. There are 2 very nice restaurants within walking distance- Xtabay and Kulkulcan. And down to mid town is only an Uber away. The best part of this very clean and lovely condo for us was that it was the isolation from mass tourism so prevalent today. It was lovely, safe and well appointed with all the essentials. Bottled water and dispenser were provided as were toilet paper, and beach towels. Questions to Liliya were immediately answered. She was the best. This is a true getaway.

Our host waited for us patiently and upon arrival she was all smiles and very welcoming. Lilia showed us the house and we loved it. It was clean, there were towels and extra beach towels and all the appliances we need. It was very peaceful and we had no issues with people being too loud. I loved it and would highly recommend the place to anyone. Thank You.

Overall it was a great location to get away for some much needed rest & relaxation!! Lilia was great - she was very helpful & responsive. This is a very safe & peaceful location away from the craziness of the hotel zone. I would definitely stay again!

We three friends with my daughter had a little reunion and were very comfortable staying at Lilia's place. The apartment is comfortable, lots of space for 4 people to move around - bedrooms were a nice size - good parking - we enjoyed our swims there and watching the sun rise every morning. The apt is sparsely supplied - you will need to bring everything for cooking (oils and spices) and entertaining (cards and games). We really enjoyed our stay and recommend Lilia's apt.

The host was really nice and great with communication. The property is not near the hotel zone and a car is highly suggested. There was a small beach in front of the property. It did have a lot of seaweed so not the best to hang out at. However, I went snorkeling there a couple of times and there were actually quite a lot of fish there. There is a public beach within walking distance where a lot of locals hang out at. It was a fun beach to go to. I recommend going to the Puerto Juarez Brewery which is about a mile from the condo. I think it's maybe the only micro brewery in the Cancun area. Overall it was a fun stay.

The apartment was clean and the spaces were accurate with the pictures. I loved the view of the ocean and palm trees from the kitchen, living area and master bedroom - I was REALLY beautiful! I has a good internet service and the beach is right out the back. You can only walk to the left for about 1/4 of a mile but to the right only about 100 meters before it gets 'trashy'. The sand was nice but the water had a lot of algae. If you walk to the left you can walk through the hotel 'All Ritmo' and get in their beach - which is public - and that one is cleaned from algae. The water is very shallow and calm but it was a little too warm for my taste. It is a very good idea to rent a car since the apartment is in the opposite side of town from the 'Zona Hotelera' and there was no condiments or coffee. We did find a great tour when we walked to the left past the hotel. We were able to get a tour on a 'Catamaran' to 'Isla Mujeres' from 10am-5pm with open bar aboard, snorkeler and lunch in the island included. The location is in Puerto Juarez, which is not a pretty area of town and since it is a port, well... it smells... It was all better when we closed the windows and turned on the A/C. If you are planning on using the sofa for your 6th guest, you need to tell her ahead of time to have the sheets. Also install WhatsApp in your phone to communicate better, we needed to ask for trash bags and ran out of toilet paper. Overall it was a great vacation at a very affordable price.

We had a great time here. The condo was in a nice, quiet area. The view from the windows was amazing to wake up to every day! The hostess was easy to work with. I would recommend this rental if you don’t want to be in the noisy hotel zone.

Lilia was a wonderful host and lovely to chat with. The condo, Hopelchan Condos, was great for our family of four. It was comfortable, clean and everything was in working order. The location of this condo was very nice and convenient. There was a beach just steps away where we swam and got to see some fish and two small rays. The kids loved it. It is close to other beaches, restaurants and close to the ferry going to Isla Mujeres. Overall we enjoyed Lilia's property very much! Thank you Lilia!

great host, safe neighborhood

I want to start of by saying Lilia the owner was very nice and sweet. The problem I had was I booked this condo on Expedia I paid in full for four nights. I received my confirmation number showing my booking was paid. Before my trip I noticed an email saying pay 2nd installment payment this email came from someone other than Expedia ( verbo which I have NEVER out of All my bookings through Expedia ever seen before 🤔) so I immediately contact Expedia and ask why did I receive this.Expedia said it had to be a mistake because I’m already booked paid and confirmed for my condo. So I arrive to the condo. we’ll guess what I’m asked to pay additional money through this verbo before I can get the room. this caused us to have to wait almost two hours outside for our condo to be cleaned since she didn’t think I was coming & it was hot ( even though I paid and it was confirmed through Expedia) I was very upset that I had to pay this money because this was not the listed price for this condo if it was I NEVER WOULD HAVE BOOKED THIS. The next day I spent an hour of my vacation trying to get my money back from verbo which I finally did AFTER EXPLAINING MYSELF a few times (which was very frustrating). Again I have used Expedia a lot and I NEVER had this problem. Be aware of this when booking here! The condo is definitely nice

The property is exactly as described! Steps away from the beach and the pool looks out over the water. Quiet, safe, and comfortable. Will book again! Lilia is so nice and meets you when you arrive and depart.

Lilia was very welcoming and answered all of our questions plus gave us pointers and suggestions about restaurants and places to visit. Hope to stay here again in the future. It was beautiful to wake up to the beach.

Loved the condo and the manager. Lilia was the perfect host and thought of all the amenities and details, from blender to good towels to plush TP. It is handy to have a car, and there's no nightlife nearby so it is a holiday retreat surrounded by fresh seafood restaurants, ruins and spectacular views. I will stay there again in a heartbeat

Great place and lilia was amazing. Great for us as we had a car and close to family in Mexico. Nice pool and views to die for. Loved having breakfast looking our to the ocean and watching the sunrise!

Lilian is a really sweet host! We had a great time at the house and the location is ideal for anyone who wants to experience Cancun other than just the tourist areas. House is clean, view is beyond gorgeous and there’s a public beach with many great restaurants about 10min walk away. There’s also a convenient store about 15min walk away. We are a group of 6 and stayed for 7 days. The location is about 25 min drive from hotel zone and 15 min drive from downtown markets. The house includes towel, beach towel, cooking utensils, toilet paper, but you do need to bring your own soap and shampoo.

Visually the location was GREAT! A view of the Gulf of Mexico greeted us every morning. The location is a little out of the way compared to the Hotel Zone but, it has a more Mexican feel to it. A public beach and restaurants are a short walk away. Would stay there again.

Wonderful quiet location right on the beach

Lili is a wonderful hostess! The condo was spotless and very comfortable. Steps from the ocean with the sound of the waves. It is incredibly relaxing. The beach is raked daily and the on-site neighbors and staff are friendly.

Thw location was great, quite, and accessible to other places. We enjoyed ourselves for a quiet three day stay. The owner was just perfect and truly accommodating. Will go back soon.

Our host was so helpful and kind! The property was exactly as pictured and the ocean was merely steps away! It was a perfect setting for our family as it was peaceful and quiet. I will be back and for longer than 8 days!

We spent 2 weeks at this condo well outside of the hotel zone in Puerto Juárez. The accommodations are not fancy but absolutely met our needs- beachfront with a small pool we were usually the only people using. The building was very quiet at night. There are a few nice eating places close by but otherwise we took a 200pesos taxi closer to downtown. We also took a cab to Walmart to buy our supplies for our stay. The unit provided all the essentials for preparing breakfast, light lunch and margaritas! Lilia was very easy to work with and responded quickly to my questions prior to our stay. If you’re looking for fancy- this isn’t it but if you’re just looking for a place to sleep comfortably- the price is right!

Perfect location

Lilia is a great host. The apartment is really nice and the view is breathtaking. Having the beach in our backyard was really a great deal. Great restaurants 3 min drive from the building.

Lilia was a great host. The property was clean and there was a 24hr security guard. It is not in the tourist area so it was nice and quiet and we found some good restaurants nearby. It’s also a short drive to the ferry to Isla Mujeres. Great experience!

The condo was in a great location with easy access to near by activities and to your own private piece of beach. It was a quiet and restful area. However, the place was not so clean and there was ants. Also the fan and light didn’t work in one of the rooms. I was very pleased with the cookware there is in the kitchen for cooking, dishes, utensils and the owner provided us with plenty of bottled water. Lilia is very friendly and easy to talk to. She gave us advice on where we can go and things we could do during our stay.

Lilia was very responsive. Very relaxing. Nice to have the pool and the beach at our fingertips. Highly recommend if you are looking for a relaxing vacation.
