This was the perfect location to explore the town. There was free parking around the corner and everything was within walking distance. This was a perfect homebase to the nearby landing beaches.

The staircase is steep and a bit short of you are tall. But we didn’t mind.

For two weeks in April we visited locations in Belgium and Normandy. Of all the self-catering accomodations we stayed at Le 4 was by far the loveliest, most modern as well as most generously equipped one. The situation was just perfect, you can actually see the cathedral's spires from the upper bedroom windows. The city centre is a five minutes walk from there and Bayeux is an utterly beautiful town, featuring, among other things, the famous Bayeux Tapestry. Anyway, Le 4 has got three floors and even a lovely roof terrace. There is a lot of glass, giving it a roomy, modern atmosphere. Toilet and shower are in two separate rooms and both are relatively small. However, since I am quite tall (1,87m) and didn't experience any problems, I think I can safely say both rooms offer enough space. As for the kitchen, it was spick-and-span and any drawer we opened was filled to the brim with coffee pods, tea bags, biscuits and so on. I'd like to end my eulogy by mentioning that we were heartily welcomed by Mylène, who gave us the feeling that we could always call her or Jean in case of any problems with the house. But, needless to say, there were none! In a nutshell, we spent a perfect couple of nights in Le 4 and lovely Bayeux. Thank you very much, Mylène and Jean!

Nothing I can think of.

The apartment is fantastic! The owner Mylene who came to meet us on arrival and at the checkout, is extremely welcoming, friendly and attentive. The apartment is right in the centre of Bayeux, with free parking space just around the corner. You can leave your car right outside the front door for a couple of minutes to (un)load your luggage. The interior is extremely comfortable and tastefully decorated. There was an assortment of biscuits and savoury snacks waiting for us on arrival, and you can make use of a Nespresso machine with a variety of cups provided. Bayeux has a beautiful ancient town centre, all the attractions (Cathedral, Bayeux Tapestry, English war cemetry and D-Day museum) are within walking distance, as well as supermarkets, bakeries and a launderette. D-day beaches are very close by. Highly recommended, we hope we can visit again in the future!

Note that there are is a narrow and steep winding staircase, and some of the ceilings are a bit low. It is really only a minor inconvenience. Just mind your head if you are a Northern European of 1.93m tall :)

Nice home with a terras. Perfect for a small family like ours. Bedrooms are comfortable and enough space. Kitchen has all it needs

Le4 is conveniently located in the centre of Bayeux, making it easy to visit the sights of Bayeux. Do not miss the cathedral and tapestry! But it was also central to for example the D-day beaches and war cemeteries in the neighbourhood. The property was very clean and comfortable. It was very special in the way the old house was modernised with a small outside terrace, but keeping the old characteristics. Even during the hot summer days, the house stayed surprisingly cool. The hosts provided us with nespresso cups, tea, water, cookies, making us feel welcome and at home immediately.

For us it was no problem, but you have to be able to climb stairs.

Only item that might be a challenge for elderly and young children would be the steep stairs.
