the view is amazing. a quiet little spot.

it rained one day and the water got inside the house and ruined our luggage. no refund for that. no laundry detergent and no shampoo or conditioner for shower. front door is hard to open. 50 dollar taxi to center city of Sorrento.

Before arriving, I have read other reviews and from them I got the information that for the car a parking card is required. After contacting the host upfront about that, I got the information to buy a one-week parking card when we arrive in Massa Lubrense (our stay was for one week). BUT when we arrived we figured out that this parking card can not be bought from a parking ticket machine. Then we tried our luck in the Tabacchi and also in local stores, where we got various not really helpful informations like "finished, maybe tomorrow", "try in other store", "try at the Sorrento Railway Station". Luckily, Rosa the nice and very helpfule niece of our host managed after 2 days to get such a parking card for 2021 from the local police (although they told her "usually we do not sell"), and also the required sticker to be valid in 2022. The cost for one week was 40 Euro, but we did not want to risk a parking fine. Parking is possible near to the appartment location, and in October there was enough free parking space there. Rosa also arranged a fine trip to Capri Island with pick-up from the appartment location, this was really recommendable because you do not need to drive to Sorrento and also not to care about parking there (this is where most of the Capri boats leave). The appartment itself is located rather near to the harbour, and although on the map it looks also near to the village center, there is quite a rising way up there to walk. The way from the parking space to the appartment is also rising up, on a narrow land, but not too difficult. The appartment is on the first floor of a building and there is a narrow outside stair up, but also this is good managable. The appartment is very spacious and has a huge terrace. It is located in a rather quiet surrounding. The location Massa Lubrense is perfectly located so that you have Neapel and Sorrento as well as the Amalf coast good reachable with the car.

bad smell in the bathroom, the shower is difficult to use, the whole bathroom gets wet. wifi only works in some areas. Access with luggage on the stairs, you cannot reach the property by car. parking on the street, the parking ticket must be bought daily from the city

The location was great, the host was very kind and helpful.
