This was a perfect quiet lake cabin to enjoy time as a family. We were impressed with the cleanliness of the cabin, and the well thought out organization and storage..hooks everywhere which came in handy. We appreciated that we could bring our family dog who may have had the best time out of all of us! It was fun having my 3 kids experience an old fashioned unplugged summer week with swimming, jumping off the dock, canoeing, looking for gems in the brook, reading in the hammock, and playing board games. We certainly didn’t want to leave!

This is our second year spending our end of summer family vacation at the Woodstock cottage. We absolutely love it! The cottage is rustic and quaint- very warm and cozy at night. The lake is clean an great fun for swimming, fishing and the canoe provided helps with water adventures! The rental process was easy and we love the owners. 5 stars- highly recommended!

Our family enjoyed, canoeing, swimming and hiking. The property was well maintained and located in a very quiet, peaceful location on Concord pond.

Kids had so much fun kayaking, swimming, canoeing etc.. it was nice to unplug for a little while. Quiet and secluded. Listening to the loons. We had a lot of fun.

My family and I arrived at the cottage on July 4th. The owner was waiting for us there as planned (unfortunately due to 4th of July traffic we arrived later than we had hope). As soon as he approached us he started to question the number of people in our party (everyone who had arrived as we traveled together), I told him everyone there was in the agreement I had send him weeks ago to what he basically called me a liar. I proceeded to show him the attached agreement directly from the email I had send him, he denied having seen all the names there in the one he had so continue to call me a liar even though it was from the thread of emails we had send each other prior arriving. He then took me around the inside of the house and while he showed me around he kept stating that anything we broke or damage he would keep our deposit in a threatening manner. Nothing in the house was neither new or luxurious which was fine with us, we were there for the outdoor experience but to continuously threat to keep our deposit was rather offensive. We have rented houses a lot nicer and had never felt uncomfortable to use anything in it. We refrained from using anything that wasn't ours including kitchenware, that is how uncomfortable we were. I emailed him later in the day asking him if he had reviewed his agreement at home to confirm I had not lie and to ask him for suggestions on kayak rentals nearby. He never answered that email much less apologized for offending me. The night before we left I emailed him asking if we could check out a little later as we were having some complications returning the kayaks we had rented and specifically asked him to let me know so we could plan accordingly, but he didn't respond to my email until the next day when we were already gone so not helpful at all. He did add to his email the following: "Hope you had a great weekend and left the place in a clean condition". We left the place as clean and organize as we founded because that is the kind of people we are but we had paid a cleaning fee so his comment was totally unnecessary. We do wonder if we had been a white family if the experience with him might have been different. Homeaway has also been an awful experience, today 7/18 I'm still waiting for my deposit back. We didn't cause any damages to the property but I have now incurred in interest fees from my CC so the damage is done to me. Needless to say we are not going back to this house or use this company ever again.

The property was beautiful, the view was breathtaking and everything was almost perfect! The only negative thing I would say is having to use the outhouse outside with little to no inside toilet use. Other than that I would definitely come back again .

Our return to the cottage this year for another 2 week stay was extremely refreshing and relaxing. Watching the parent Loons teach and guide their chick was very intriguing. By the moonlight we watched a bull moose feed right out front in the pond. Each stay at the cottage feels like 'coming home'. It's as if we go away for 50 weeks and come home for 2. Ahhh, if only it could be the other way around!

The cottage was everything we had hoped it would be and more. Loons, campfires, swimming and sunning. Lots of afternoon naps. Fred and Gravy put the hammock to good use! The view was gorgeous, the lake serene, the neighbors invisible, cool breezes in the afternoon to keep the mosquitos away and nice easy access to the water. Scott and Carol keep the camp impeccably neat and clean and have provided furnishings that are comfortable and charming. Each day we spent there was peaceful, undisturbed and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay and highly reccommend the lovely lake cottage.

Our time at the Lake Cottage truly regenerates us to return to our busy lives and entertains the whole family. A perfect place to spend time with your children! (We have two teenagers) The camp is wonderful as are Scott and Carol Gould.
