Great house! Great location! Walk to Queen's Bath, Hideaway Beach, and Makai Golf Club. Beautiful sunset views!

Just a perfect location on the north shore for our stay. The house is very thoughtfully appointed and easy to find things/make things work. comfortable beds too! We loved all the different ways to manage temperature in the house - letting in more or less sun / more or less outside air and turning on AC if necessary. The Albatrosses were a highlight for us! We got to see a baby Albatross on the next just between the house and the 7th hole tee, by the mangroves. That is a once in a lifetime experience. We'd recommend Hale On'tario to anyone.

Das Haus liegt ideal und war sauber und schön eingerichtet. Es hat in der Küche die Basisausstattung. Was mir fehlte, war die Basis an Lebensmittel wie Öl, Gewürze. Aber sonst war es perfekt und es gab auch ein Willkommensgeschenk, was ich sehr sympathisch fand.

Stellar Napali Coast views, comfy furniture and a very short walk to a lookout point over Queen’s Bath and Hideaways! Quick access to the Princeville trail gets you anywhere you want to go. We travel and rent homes frequently, so we were pleased to find a very well stocked and accurately described property. From a ton of beach equipment to decent tools and extra lightbulbs…this place has what you need. There was even two coffee makers so we could have caff and decaf ready to go every morning. Rachel and the Vacasa staff were fantastic! We’ll return…

Overall we loved being here. The view is awesome and walked to the end of the 6th hole for yoga two mornings and sunset two nights. House had plenty of room for the 5 of us. Only negative is the construction next door during the day and partial blocking of view and the loft gets warm. We walked to Queen’s Bath a few houses away and did a lot on the north side. Just have to manage the Hanalei road closure times during the weekdays. The resource guide they have is amazing yet slightly outdated with Covid closures. All in all an amazing place to stay.

If you are planning to spend your day relaxing on the lanai, the fence and construction will likely be a bother. Home owners may have additional info in timing of the construction. And probably took a ton of work! We all loved this house so much. Close to Anini beach - perfect for kids and we got to see a sea turtle go from the beach to swimming back into the ocean! We’d stay here again in a heart beat. We were sad to leave.

Our group of three couples had a wonderful week at Hale On’tario, although one couple had to stay in the double bed upstairs in the partially open-walled loft that would be great for kids. The constantly changing views of the sky, mountains, and ocean were beautiful, and rainbows were abundant. Grocery shopping was very convenient in the Princeville market Foodland just 2 miles away, and the kitchen was well equipped and thoughtfully appointed. The house owners had prepared a comprehensive binder of local attractions and activities. We appreciated the beautiful turquoise Le Creuset accent pieces including a teapot! Some of the chairs could use some updating but the location is great, and it’s a nice walk to the beach. The Vacasa staff were highly responsive and helpful to resolve a few small issues, We are happy to recommend this place. Thank you!

Great location. Food land is right around the corner and Hanalei Bay is a quick drive. Queen’s Bath is a short walk. House was perfect. The views from the family room and patio are as good as it gets. Everything advertised was there. Furniture was very comfortable. Neighborhood was nice and quiet.

Our stay at Hale On’tario was magnificent. Loved the view from the living area. You supplied everything we needed for our stay in Princeville. Hopefully we can return soon.

My family had an excellent trip! This home is spacious, comfortable and beautiful!! Walking distance to queens bath, hideaways and pizza! The home has everything you need- coffeemaker, grinder, washer, dryer and beach umbrella, beach chairs and boogie boards. The management team was excellent. We had a small issue the first part of our trip and they got back to me in 5 minutes with a response and it was resolved in 2 hours (this was on a Sunday). Excellent customer service!! Thank you for sharing your home for our family vacation!!

Everything was great about this home accept for AC, however I understand that it was unusually hot during our stay. Location on golf course is great with nice views of the ocean and mountains. Owners reference book for things to do on the island was very helpful. Kitchen was well equipped. Bikes and beach umbrellas were available for use. Owners did a nice job of making the stay as nice as possible.

Again, the only drawback and the reason for not providing a four star rating was the AC,
but property managers were quick to provide additional fans to keep it cool.

The home is lovely, cozy and comfortable. Being that it is on the golf course - with lovely ocean views - it was quite noisy with all the lawn care. Golf courses and gardens require upkeep and most days it began shortly after 6 in the morning and lasted for hours. I wore noise cancelling headphones at times. The nearest beach is a 15 minute drive. The kitchen is well stocked with high quality appliances but a can opener and measuring cups would have been nice. I was surprised that there was no book with explanations about the house or how to work the TV and sound system - which are very nice - but I found it on the shelf when I was packing up. Good supply of beach chairs, towels, coolers and toys.

Our family spent a week here and we all loved it! The house is well maintained, clean, and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked with everything you need to cook a meal. The furniture is updated and comfortable, and the entertainment system is great. We spent a week here with four adults and two children and had plenty of space for all. We would definitely stay here again!

We absolutely loved our stay in Hale On’tario such a beautiful,clean well maintained house. The large windows in the living room are so awesome to see the sunset in the evening. The two bedrooms downstairs are very spacious with both having bathrooms and the king beds are very very comfy. The upstairs room is perfect for kids. The kitchen had everything you need to cook a meal. I would definitely come back.

First time ever to Hawaii! This house is absolutely awesome love that there are bathrooms in each bedroom. The travertine tile is beautiful the kitchen is awesome love the large windows in the living room area upstairs is perfect for kids. The house is overall very functional. A crazy storm came while we were there with really really high winds and the house feels very tight. We would definitely stay here again no complaints at all. Princeville is a beautiful place to stay.

This house really is beautiful, it has an incredible location (you can walk to the incredible overlook of the Na Pali coast, and overlook Queen's bath), the ocean, and the Makai golf course. It is located up the road from Queen's Bath (a formidable trek in itself!) The house has beautiful tile work with travertine tile in family room and kitchen, a great stocked beautiful kitchen for cooking, huge windows, 2 lovely dining rooms, a beautiful patio in the back, a grill in garage to wheel out into the driveway, a gorgeous lot with long driveway recessed from road, lots of thoughtful extras for your beach days, and lovely furniture, great for entertaining. The neighborhood is Princeville quiet and lovely. Three bedrooms are nicely decorated, each with its own beautiful bathroom. There are TVs in all bedrooms, if you want to watch TV. Keep in mind this house was destroyed twice and rebuilt twice (once in hurricane Iwa, the second time in hurricane Iniki), as it is in the path of hurricanes, since it is a stone's throw from the northern cliffs of Princeville with nothing to shelter it from storms or wind. Furniture is just beautiful, and well-arranged for entertaining. There is an issue, though with a heavily soiled stairway carpet and upstairs carpet which was surprising, given the cost of this home. Also, the house does not have central air conditioning, and the room air conditioners worked marginally at best (one downstairs bedroom has no room air conditioner), making this house hot, hot, hot (given the high humidity and almost daily rains on Kauai), and uncomfortable in late afternoons into early evening. Only 1 (downstairs) bedroom was cool at night; the others very hot. We needed any fan we could find to circulate the air towards the floor to make the house somewhat livable temperature-wise for sleeping (the ceiling fans circulated the hot rising air and made it hotter inside, so we shut those off in lower level of house). Aside from those 2 issues, this house was lovely to use as a rental for a vacation. Although the AC issue would be difficult to remedy, (also given the extremely high cost of electricity on Kauai!), I would love to see the carpet in the stairwell and upper level disappear, it would fix one of the 2 issues. Without those 2 issues, this rental would normally be a 5 star rating.
