We had a great week at Villa De Ligeria. Our group was 11 total - 3 couples and 5 children ranging from 11-18 years. The villa was perfect for us and exceeded our expectations. The location is amazing. Perfect sunset view, beautiful water, and perfect white sand – everything is stunning. The Villa management team was great and promptly responded to any questions/requests that we had. The movie room (not pictured on the VRBO listing) is a nice bonus and was perfect for our one rainy day on the island. The villa is an older home that has been updated, so there are a few signs of it being an older property, but they did a great job with the updates and the location is worth every penny. We went to various villas across the island and honestly, the best views and water were right out our back door of Villa De Ligeria. The public beach to the East of the Villa is beautiful, but there will be a few people there each day, and there was a group there each day doing “clear canoe” photoshoots for island visitors with drones. It wasn’t distracting as you don’t see/hear them due to the trees and vegetation, but just know that the beach is a public beach, so be prepared a few people (5-10 max) might be there during the day. The beach was fun to go for a walk at dusk or early in the morning though, as no one was ever there. Overall, visiting T&C and staying and Villa De Ligeria was an amazing experience, and we would highly recommend it! Enjoy!

My family, friends and I had an amazing stay for my 35th birthday! The furnishings were clean and up to date, and the ocean views were magical. This was one of the rare times where reality absolutely matched the listing, if not exceeded! Highly recommend!

Very well acquainted, and HUGE beach front property. Perfect for large families or groups. Private water access or quiet sandy beach access just steps away. Gorgeous sunrise and sunset views. Our favorite part of the day was coffee on the back porch every morning. Property hosts were very responsive and friendly. 10-15 minute drive to famous Grace Bay as well as other lesser known beaches. Would absolutely stay again!

I celebrated my 40th birthday at this property with six of my friends & had an awesome time. Would stay here again in a heartbeat! Pros and Cons (and Tips) follows as an FYI for future guests. Pros: Location, views, amenities in house (speaker system was incredible!), towels for the pool/beach, spacious bedrooms, A/C in each room that kept the bedrooms nice & cool. The IGA supermarket is 8 mins away by car, very convenient to stock/restock what you need. Cons: (1)The main areas of the house (not bedrooms) can get very hot with no A/C. We tried to have windows open for circulation, but some windows either didn't have screens or the screens were ripped. Screens are needed because unfortunately, a LOT of mosquitos. (2) The mosquitos are everywhere, especially at dusk/night, so be prepared. (3) Upon check in you're asked for a credit card in case you go over electricity overage. Luckily we did not, but please be aware you're capped at a certain amount of kilowatts for your stay. (4) Last, but not least, there is a beach to the left of the house that appears to be private, but there was a glass boat company that ran photo ops/rides out of that beach. The company gives out the address to the house as the meeting point, so every day we had people pulling into the driveway and asking us where to go. They would also walk up on the property in the back. Property needs a sign that says "Private Property" to avoid this. *Tip:4th bath is in theater room. Not in listing,but nice surprise!

The Master which was down stairs was beautiful. While there were amble restrooms, they were not onsuites. All bedrooms were a great size. The kitchen was fully stocked. They even provided gas for the grill and spices. They provided ample pool towels, sun block and aloe vera. The bedrooms were cold, but the downstairs was warm. Otherwise, everything was perfect.

This home was everything we expected and more! This place was perfect for our family. Everything was very clean, the bedrooms were air conditioned, which was very refreshing. The view was breathtaking over looking the water. Our family spent many hour in the pool and sea. The water was a perfect temperature. We definitely want to come back!

Our family of 11 had a wonderful time at the villa. It was clean, spacious, and so secluded. We absolutely loved being able to enjoy our first visit to T&C and spend our time just enjoying our family and the beautiful country. Everything was super close (15 minutes or less drives) to the grocery stores, GraceBay shopping, restaurants,etc. The team promptly addressed our issue with the pool. We all loved the wonderful place from our private pool, beach and well appointed house.

It’s our 5th time to stay at this Villa, it never disappoints and they are great hosts!

We had a wonderful experience at Turtle Tail Villa. The house lived up to and even exceeded the pictures and descriptions. All age groups in our family had a memorable vacation.

Worth the stay!

The house was incredible. Very secluded (which we liked) but about a 15 minute drive to all the restaurants near Grace Bay. Concierge staff that comes with the property were very attentive and anything we needed, they did for us. We were 10 friends for a 40th birthday.

Amazing location. Very relaxing and quiet. Easy to get to Grace Bay and other locations. Air conditioning was nice in the bedrooms but can get hot in the main living area. Simple fix to just open the windows and screen doors. Would recommend staying here.

Villa de Ligera was the perfect choice for our large family vacation- which actually consisted of 7 adults 2 teens and two "tweens". The villa was even more beautiful than the photos on the website and was very well appointed and included many "extras". The kitchen had ample supply of dishes, utensils, glassware, cookware and accessories and was large enough for multiple family members to prepare meals at the same time. The bedroom situation worked very well for our family and the dining room and the living room/great room provided plenty of space for all 11 of us to gather and enjoy family time together playing games and listening to music. The outdoor space -where we all spent most of our time, was truly amazing and very private. The views from every angle, both inside and outside the house, were breathtaking. Gorgeous crystal clear blue/aqua ocean as far as you could see, the pool with the sand area just off the house, the palm trees with the hammocks and the gazebo just made this outdoor space a true paradise and the perfect place to simply relax and "unwind". Surrounded by such beauty, we spent most of time kayaking, swimming in the pool and the ocean, sunbathing and grilling and eating outdoors. We had a dance party , a "name that tune" face off and a team sports challenge. We did take a private boat tour which gave us a special opportunity to jump off an old moored "pirate ship" and also do some additional snorkeling and tubing. One of the more memorable events of our vacation to Turks and Caicos was our walk with a "potcake" puppy named Winnie. Being a family of dog lovers we not only lover our time with Winnie but were extremely impressed by this incredible community rescue effort and resource and truly enjoyed seeing so many visitors waiting to participate. The management team at villa de Ligera and all of their staff were wonderful and the mid week cleaning was very much appreciated. We only experienced a few minor issues and as soon as we notified Amelia she responded immediately and went above and beyond to resolve them. This Turks and Caicos vacation, in this beautiful house on the truly gorgeous property has given us memories that will last a lifetime! We loved the “private” beach. The water was warm and clear, just beautiful. Great location, close enough to everything (with a rental car). House was perfect and the no AC in the living areas was not an issue for us at all.

This property is just as described if not better! The outdoor area was perfect!

This is our second time staying at this home. The location is perfect, views unbelievable, quick trip from the airport and to downtown. Weather is amazing. Had an issue with the main fridge not cooling properly, and there was a broken screen. But, nothing we couldn't overcome.

This house is exactly what is stated in the listing. The layout was great and was more than enough space for our group (8 adults and 1 child). It is located on the south side of the island which is quiet, but it was only a 8-15 minute car ride from anywhere you wanted to go. I would recommend a car if you are staying here. The views were amazing with awesome sunsets nearly every night. The manager was very responsive. We had a slight bug issue and they had someone out within 20 minutes to spray. Never saw one after that. The pool is was great and the beach just a few steps away seemed like our own private beach. You could walk out several hundred yards and were only in waist deep water. Having the sonos speaker system was great for music throughout the house and outside. I would agree with some of the past reviews that they could use a large frying pan as the house is set up to for larger groups. Would highly recommend this house!!

We loved this safe and secluded beach front get away! The sunsets, views, water front, swimming pool, hammocks, sonos sound system, privacy, and ocean breezes solidified our love of this property. Everyone wants to return. The A/C in the bedrooms worked great but the common living areas, kitchen and dining areas are not on the A/C system and did get a little hot so we just stayed in our bathing suits all day. Our son is in a wheelchair and besides one step in and out- the house was very accessible for him. Again, we loved our stay and would love to return!

We enjoyed our 5 day stay very much! The property was magnificent with amazing water views and sunsets. Well equipped and very clean accommodations. Would highly recommend!

Spent a week with a group of 8 at the villa. Loved the location!! Private, quiet but not far from other activities, beaches and grocery store. No AC in the main living space made it warm but not unbearable with the trade winds blowing through. The villa is beautiful and nicely appointed. We would have liked a larger pan in the kitchen for preparing meals for a large group but other than that the kitchen was well set up. Family favorite was the warm gorgeous waters of the Caribbean right in our back yard. Would definitely recommend the villa.

Everyone had the time of their lives the property is so well maintained. Exactly like shown in the pictures. 1 suggestion to whomever will be visiting invest invest invest in some type of citronella candle or bug deterrent this bad boys will light you up. This would be the only negative. But knowing that now I will stock up if ever I plan on staying again. The managers are excellent you could not ask for more! Well done!

We had the most amazing time with our big family in this house. So many incredible memories have been made here. Despite the fact that we stayed during Hurricane Fiona, it added to the once-in-a-lifetime experience. We were provided with an amazing house that was spacious enough for all 12 of us. The beds were incredibly comfortable, and the rooms were very spacious. The movie room that wasn't even listed was a fun bonus and the perfect place to play some Mario Cart and watch movies with the family. All of the furniture was great. The outside space was simply stunning and we spent countless hours in the pool or the ocean. The pool was very large and always warm. During the initial part of the hurricane, the water was being sucked backward and we were able to explore the beach much further out than normal. We visited the mini reef over at the public beach next to the house. While we were there we saw multiple octopuses and crabs. We will definitely be coming back to this house and spending another week here together as a family! The only complaint is the fact that the house is meant for big families or groups, however, there aren't pans and such for cooking for the larger crowds. For breakfasts, we had to have 3 separate pans to make eggs. Making a batch of french fries we had to do it in 3 separate batches because they only have small cookie sheets. I have stayed at many houses in the Caribbean and have a problem with even the pricier rentals having issues with many insects and cockroaches. This is a regular occurrence in the Caribbean, that us Northerners don't really care for. After reading up on this it takes work to not have them in your houses in the warmer climate. The entire time we were at this house we did not see any bugs other than outside the house, which I can deal with. This just shows how well they clean this house and make sure it stays bug-free. People like me who do not deal with creepy crawlies in the house with them definitely appreciate this!!

The property was very nice and even though we had a few issues with things working, the property manager was very helpful and worked on getting things fixed. Our only real issue is they don’t want the windows open and it gets very warm in the living area and kitchen because they have no air conditioning. The lights did not work outside the first night so it was miserable sitting inside with no air. The air conditioning quit in the master bedroom for two nights so that made the house much warmer. The pool was great and the outdoor area was great to spend time in. The grill did not work very well so if you are wanting to grill start plenty early. Overall it was a nice place to stay And the manager was great. Just hope when you check in they give you the right address! They gave us the wrong one which was a mess also!

Amazing place, with stunning views.

This was our first trip to Turks. The water is absolutely stunning. The house provides wonderful views and access. We felt like we had the whole island to ourselves. We were in the ocean the majority of the days. Toc checked on us daily to make sure we had everything we needed. Faye helped us secure a fabulous chef as well as spa treatments, yachting, golfing and transportation services! It was an amazing trip and we will definitely come back soon.

The house was perfect for our group of 9 adults. The location is secluded enough for relaxation but close enough to restaurants, shopping and tourist attractions. We really enjoyed the kayaks, they allowed us get to Duke, Rush, Clark, Newton and Moeller islands for a little cliff diving and snorkeling. The pool was a great place to cool down after sitting out on the deck chairs. We spent a ton of time at the table covered by the 2nd story balcony. The breeze would make it perfect to listen to music, play cards and hangout. The AC in the bedrooms were awesome. Amelia and Faye were very responsive and helped us book outings. I would recommend this house to anyone, hope we can make it back!!!

This is our first VRBO trial, outside the U.S. The experience was amazing. Jason answered all our questions prior to booking. He was very accommodating when we had to push trip back several months because of Covid. Faye, the property manager, gave us all the other information needed prior to trip:. transportation, catering services, pre-stocking services, deep sea fishing options...etc. The house is better than advertised. It really was perfect for our family.; 6 Adults and four children (10, 7, 4, 4). Plenty of areas in the house and outside the house, so we never felt that we were crowded on top of each other. Each bedroom has central air, and the media room has a euro-AC unit. We left doors open with the ceiling fans during the day, which was very comfortable with the trade winds. Pool is big, and water temp was perfect. The beach is literally 30 second walk. While it is a public beach, we were the only ones there all week. Beach is actually prettier than in the pictures. Water was crystal clear, shallow and warm. Very safe for all the kids. The kayaks were fun as well. We went deep sea fishing and caught grouper, trigger fish and red snapper. House has a large outdoor grill which we used. The house has plenty of seating outside and inside the home. I really don't have any negatives. It really is hard to appease 10 people of all different ages; but we had an amazing, amazing vacation with wonderful memories and tons of pictures. We are already starting to plan our trip for next year. Jason, Faye and staff, thanks again.
