House is set on a hillside beautiful view and proximal to Harrisonburg downtown area and JMU. It was the right spot for our group

This was a beautiful, large house with great amenities to accommodate our family of five with plus ones and an infant. We stayed as out of town guests in for a family wedding, and the house provided a perfect home base and perfectly suited us with several large bedrooms and tons of communal, comfy seating. What a gorgeous view of the mountains. Can't recommend enough!

This house was a wonderful gathering point, retreat, and haven for our family in our recent visit to Harrisonburg. The glorious porch looking out over the surrounding area was a place to both start and end our days. The view from this home is spectacular and it was a very special experience to sit on the porch for coffee and evening chats. The home was spacious, well-furnished, and set up with all the household items we needed - a perfect simplicity. Beds were comfortable. Hosts were responsive and very nice to work with. Would definitely rent again!

Four of us old friends tried this place as the site for our annual golf get-together. We thoroughly enjoyed the stay. We all fit in easily. The house was clean and very well equipped. We particularly enjoyed the view from the front porch. If we decide to stay in Harrisonburg again in the future, we will definitely stay here.

This house perfectly suited our needs. Lots of room to spread around. Slept a lot of people. The kitchen and dining/family room were large and nicely laid out. It made holding a small impromptu brunch the morning after the wedding easy. You have a lovely view from the fabulous porch!! Thank you for making the week restful.

This was a perfect place for us to stay during EMU's graduation. The college was literally just a few minute walk away. The house was very clean and large. We enjoyed relaxing on the porch taking in the amazing view of the valley. Would definitely stay here again.

This was are second stay at this particular property in Harrisonburg. It's absolutely perfect. The proximity to JMU and downtown Harrisonburg combined with the quiet private setting make this rental a real winner. Mary, the property owner, couldn't be more responsive and accommodating. The house is clean and in perfect condition, offering plenty of space and a beautiful of the surrounding area. This is our go-to every time we come to Harrisonburg for a visit. I cannot recommend it enough.

Mary our host and her home were both wonderful. The home was very spacious and included everything we needed. Everything was very clean and the beds and sofas were so comfortable. We travelled from SC to visit with our Virginia cousins and Harrisonburg was the perfect spot! We will not hesitate to stay again!

The house is everything it appears to be. It’s as beautiful, clean and comfortable as the pictures show. The location was ideal for Harrisonburg and the surrounding area, as well as accessing I-81. We had no problems. The only “issue” for lack of a better word was that we were cooking a lot and there were no baking dishes and minimal options to use in the oven. Really, a minor concern, but something to consider if you are in the same situation. Overall, the property was perfect.

We enjoyed our two nights here. The host has a lovely home that has everything you need for a home away from home. Kitchen is well stocked and home was very neat and clean. Our only complaint was that the towels had a very unpleasant scent. This has been an issue in many vacation rentals our family has stayed in so we didn’t take any stars off but it was very off putting. The host’s message prior to arrival gave us all the information we needed to check in as well as recommendations on places to eat. We will book again on our next visit to see our JMU student!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this lovely home! It was extremely clean, spacious and had plenty of room to accommodate our party of 5. The Host, Mary was very kind and responsive to all of our questions before our stay. The beds were very comfortable and the views from the front porch were beautiful. I especially loved how you could see the JMU Campus and mountains in the distance. I would recommend this property to everyone and would definitely stay here again. Thank you so much, Mary!

Perfect central location for our family to come together from NC & Maryland for Thanksgiving. We are originally from the Valley & niece lives a mile away. Plenty of space, very nice kitchen, and dining table that extended to easily seat 10 adults, a high chair for the toddler & bar stools for the 3 bigger kids. Comfortable sofas and chairs for the after turkey naps! Comfortable beds. Clean as a whistle. Fantastic view!!! We would not hesitate to come back to this lovely home.

We stayed for 2 nights to spend some time in Shenandoah. Pretty location for the house. Nice and clean. I would like to especially mention that beds were so comfortable. Good experience overall.

We had a perfect stay in this royal home, on a perfect location in a quiet residential area in Harrissonburg. The house is brandnew and absolutely spotless. It is a perfect base to discover the Shenandoah Valley. Thanks Mary, for the good feeling you gave us during our stay.

It was a great experience. The views from the front porch are stunning. There was plenty of room for the 7 of us ( 6 adults, 1 toddler) to spread out. The property I s well-taken care of. We would stay here again!

this home provided tons of space and comfort for three couples getting together in the Harrisonburg area. the kitchen is well stocked, the front porch inviting and each couple had their own bathroom. definitely a winner. the host communicates well.

The place looked really good on the vrbo website, and it was just as nice in real life. There is a large, inviting porch looking over Harrisonburg and the nearby mountains, the rooms and beds were comfortable, and the parking could be managed for several cars, with room for more on the street. With family and friends collecting at the property, it really felt like home. The property was well supplied (though we did run out of paper towels), and we easily solved a minor ant intrusion during our stay. Would definitely recommend, and would stay there ourselves again should the occasion arise.

We had a great visit to Harrisonburg. The property is clean and well maintained. Lots of space for everyone to spread out. Neighbors are close but sunrise is great. Thanks again, if we come back to the area we we strongly consider staying here again!

I stayed at this home with my immediately family (husband and 2 daughters, 8yo and 4yo). Additionally, my parents, sister and her two sons (7yo and 5mo) stayed in the home. We were in Harrisonburg for my niece’s 1st birthday. Their home was just minutes away- which was bonus #1. The house was actually much nicer than the pictures depict! Amazing views, rooms flooded with natural light, and tons and tons of space- bonus #2, particularly for our kids. The house came stocked even with coffee, filters, and other kitchen things that not all rentals have (cooking oil, spices, dish soap, etc). Our stay only being a few days, this was great! There was more than enough space to prep and cook much of the food for the birthday party and bring to my sister’s house still warm (bonus #3). And there was still space to make DYI decorations and allow the kids to run around. The home was very clean. The only reason I gave 4 stars on “cleanliness” is because some of the towels appeared to have bleach stains on them. This is quite honestly the only negative thing I have to say though. The owner even honored a last minute request for a late check out (12 noon)- Bonus #4! I’d definitely recommend this home to anyone looking to stay in Harrisonburg. A great little town with tons of different things- a hidden gem….once you get over all the fields of cows ;-)
