Great, spacious home for a family with 3 little ones 5 and under. If you’re a 2 family group booking, the house is split really well if you need your own space! The kitchen was the BEST stocked kitchen I’ve ever experienced with a vacation home rental. We cook all dinners “in” given bedtimes, and there wasn’t an issue needing anything they didn’t already have. The bunk room was great for the older ones, but if you’re an adult this isn’t a full sized room! Smelled a little musty in that one but attributed to portion of house that was converted for the room. A little Damp Rid charcoal box did the trick! It’s hard to expect a house that allows dogs to not have some random dog hair, but the removable couch covers were appreciated so we didn’t need to sit in dog hair. Fire pit and yard were ideal to keep little ones entertained, minus the mosquitoes, but that’s just a product of the island. Also appreciate on-site washer and dryer with kids!!

This is exactly as advertised! Spotlessly clean, conveniently located, and very peaceful and quiet. They also have tons of games and DVDs ready to go! Recommend without hesitation.

The passage from kitchen to living room was a step down then a step up, difficult for older guests who are unsteady on their feet Back yard was perfect for pet owner

We really enjoyed our 2 weeks prior to Christmas in Chincoteague. Loved the house, yard, and neighborhood. Met some Teagers at local dog park and walked the nature trail several times. Local grocery and bakery were nearby. Got takeout from the diner, Asian Express, and Famous Pizza. Used Dog E Stylez and H&H Pharmacy, plus Urgent Care in town across the bridge.

This property was great for my family of 6! And the unique layout of the house was great for everyone to have their own area to play and relax. Even though we brought some things to occupie the kids . It was nice that there were some games, toys, and movies for the kids. And the fenced in yard and fire pit was a plus!

Quiet neighborhood with a dog friendly yard. Plenty of space to get away for quiet time in the house. Fun to watch movies in DVD! Would return for a spring trip for sure!

This property had it all. Books, games, movies, fire pit, yard, mud room everything. It would be easy to stay busy, or not, no matter the weather or time of year. Very responsive management.

The home was great for our family; in a convenient location to the National Park Entrance and in a quiet / private neighborhood. We would definitely stay again!

The house was clean with an updated kitchen. We spent a lot of time by the fire pit in the evenings. It was very easy to get to the beach and we walked down to the museum to watch a rocket launch. We had a fabulous time!

The home was absolutely perfect! Definitely the most pet friendly rental we have ever stayed in. The only down side was the mosquitoes, but obviously that is not in the owners control. Otherwise. We has a great time!!

The area was great, quiet except the planes but I’m use to them lol. They have nice things at house for you to do, some abused from previous guests with missing pieces but overall awesome experience and would recommend/use again

Perfect location for both Chincoteague and Assateague. Property provided absolutely everything as advertised- and more- including the great location and neighborhood. Perfect for biking, walking and beach time.

Great communication, everything you need to keep you entertained if you’re rained in or just need to keep a family busy. Would go back if we revisit the island.

We have been to the island for years, but stayed at KOA. This trip was FAR better. We look forward to either booking Slack tide again or one of your other properties. You took the stress out of vacationing..thank you for that. The history of slack tide is an interesting story, as well.

We enjoyed our long weekend stay. The home was nice and had everything needed in the kitchen. The neighborhood was beautiful we were able to utilize the backyard fire pit twice which was really nice.

We stayed three nights with our two dogs. Backyard is great. FYI, doggie door is about 12x18”. Clean and cozy house, everything we needed. Most dog friendly home we have stayed in.

I was happy I picked this house for the fenced in corralled area in the yard with deck. The house was comfortable and location was great for our family.

I stayed with family and friends for 4th of July. While the house is big and beautiful and the neighborhood is lovely. I thought it was overpriced for the amenities provided. Few of the issues I encountered: Mold in bathrooms, outdated kitchen, uncomfortable mattresses, running toilet. Those are things I'd easily overlook but not for.the price of this property.. other then that.

Our family of four plus dog appreciated this property, especially its fenced yard with a dog door from the house. We love the fire pit, the wii and games for a rainy day, and how clean and bright the place is. We hope to stay here again someday. Thank you!

Location was convenient to all the places we needed - 10 min drive from Assateague beach and just 5-7 min drive away from crabbing and pier fishing locations. We forgot to order good weather and our Memorial Day weekend was rained out, but we managed to squeeze in all the fun in between - the house had plenty of games to keep the kids occupied and we caught Harry Potter on the TV. The backyard is spacious and well appointed with a shed with charcoal grill and a very large fire pit -kids loved making smores. Owner was very responsive to all of our questions and needs. The kitchen has everything, but a dishwasher was the only thing I missed. Other than that had a great time.

It’s situated in a very good location, access to the refuge and dining areas right down the street! The launch for kayaks and small boats is very nice, just beware of the mosquitoes lol! The fire pit was so nice to use as well as the bikes and outside games provided in the shed! The reason I did not score the cleanliness high is because we were told you need to check out by 10 instead of 11 due to co-vid19 and they needed more time to clean, which is understandable but we arrived to find a lot of mouse droppings under the kitchen sink cabinets and leftover dog food on the kitchen floor, also if you want to use any of the utensils, wash them first as they were dirty. I strongly suggest upgrading to a dishwasher. I would suggest is cleaning the ceiling fans they had a lot of dust on the blades. The only other thing is that the master bath shower door handle falls off. We would definitely stay again, and the main reason that made it a special place was the dog yard, we have 2 dogs that travel everywhere and it’s hard to find places with a fenced area😊

Cozy, well-maintained spot with plenty of outdoor space and amenities - the beach chairs alone are a huge win if your vehicle is space-challenged like ours! Very close to the road to Assateague and walking distance to shops where you can pick up the necessities. Communication was prompt and check-in was a breeze.

The house was well appointed and equipped for our family if 4 and in a great locale! Would love to come back

We had a great time over the holiday weekend! The flies were really bad this weekend so watch out! We had the fire going every night which helped and was our favorite part! The house was clean when we arrived and the owner was very responsive with whatever questions we had. We rented bikes across the street and rode around the island all weekend. We will be renting this house again.
