The location was nice and the breakfast was tasty. We stayed two nights and took a trip from here to the Rio Lagartos.
The bed was not attached to the ground, it was more of a swing and it was impossible to sleep well. Unfortunately, we didn't notice it in the photos and thought that the ropes were just decorations. The staff does not speak English, a printed breakfast menu would be helpful so that we could at least translate it, as we did not understand the staff at all.

The hotel is absolutely stunning, and the place is really isolated and beautiful. The staff was really nice, but smiles are not always enough.
Frequent water shortage, super weak wifi and a very limited restaurant menu. To be honest the breakfast plates were so tiny that it did not invite us to try anything else.

it was very clean, the staff we attentive and very friendly.
for the price I would expect drinking water, a blow drier, coffee maker. a clean pool

The situation of LunArena is exceptional at the end of the beach front street in El Cuyo next to a biosphere reserve and almost with your feet on the beach. All personnel are service minded and attentive to your needs, Ana, one of the managers speak English and is very helpful and has a good knowledge of the activities and services you get and participate in El Cuyo. They have in their rooms those hanging beds, we never had tried them before but we loved it, to be rocked like in a crib like bed is nice and relax. We will be back to LunArena.

View from terrace was lovely.
No hot water on first day, no water at all on second day. Restaurant was hit or miss. Cold, weak coffee. Good food delivered without eating utensils. Guacamole was really green goddess dressing! Room was described as having a kitchen but no knives? No coffee maker even though room description included one.
If the room was $40, then OK. For $120 we expect much better.

Room with floating bed, small kitchenette with fridge. Terrace overlooking the sea and jungle. Great for relaxing in the hammock. Breakfast included. There was a choice of omelets, pancakes or granola with yoghurt and fruit. Coffee and Tea. staff very friendly. few minutes to the beach. Very good for Kite Surfing. 15 min. walk to a nice cafe with vegan and gluten free options. The people in the village very friendly, they always say hello.
Just for note: Lots of mosquitoes. It is best to bring a mosquito net and mosquito spray. No air conditioning but a fan. For us enough.

Perfect view, 5 min walk to the beach , nice and quiet place just stunning 😍
Bfast was very badly organised unfortunately, apparently the cook hasn’t arrived in the morning and some of my friend ended up without having a bfast .

we stayed in the jungle view room and it was lovely. a really comfortable bed and a hammock overlooking the jungle and lagoon. staff were really friendly and helpful, couldn’t have asked for better
I can’t blame them for the mosquitos so nothing to complain about!

The view in the upper room was nice. Well the guy that I assume is the manager was friendly, the front desk girl was friendly too.
The breakfast lady was not friendly, on the contrary, she was rude. It seems she denied me a number of things that the manager later told I should have been allowed.
The place is infested with mosquitos. Not in the room, the room was mosquito-free but the common areas are infested with mosquitos.

Nice, clean hotel, beautifully decorated, run by very friendly peoples. Spacious, clean rooms with kitchen (with big refrigerator). Drinking water is available for free. Bathroom and beach towels available. 2' walk to the beach. Beach chairs available. We took the included breakfast from which we could choose out of 3 options. Every option was really good! Lunch is not extensive, but very good! All positive feelings! Recommendable!

We loved the hotel, so much so that we actually ended up extending our stay for 1 additional night. Reception staff is not there 24h but was kind enough to wait for us to arrive and show us to our room before they left. The rooms are very spacious, nicely decorated and clean. We only ate at the hotel's restaurant for breakfast, which was good. The hotel is ideally located, literally a 2 minutes walk to an amazing and peaceful beach. If you want, the hotel rents you beach equipment (umbrella, chairs). It's outside the town centre, which makes it very quite, and can be reached with a short walk. I really hope to have the chance to stay here again in the future.
The only thing I can think of could be some more breakfast options, but it's more of an advice than something that we did not like.

Probably the most quiet zone of El Cuyo but thus also a bit off the centre. The beach with the kitesurfing area is just around the corner and wonderful. The rooms are spacious, pretty, clean, calm and comfortable. If you’re looking for peace, this is your spot.
Maybe the fridge is too loud and they turn on the A/C only at night.

Breakfast, Room. Food. The guacamole was out of this world!!! The food was excellent.
I thought I would have a room with a view of the water and was surprised I didn´t. Also the a/c only works from 8pm-8am and struggled with the heat in the day. I also would have appreciated an umbrella for the beach.

Beautiful escape into nature, we loved the calm environment and spacious apartment. If you look for anything relaxing this is your place.
Pool was too small to swim. Bed itself was unfortunately not the best, old mattress and pillows (clumps), would be great if these get renewed as this would make the stay perfect.

near beach. room was clean and decor was lovely. nice lounge/ eating area.
it’s at the end of the dirt road. far end of the beach road from town. terrible, terrible service. it took forever to get the wait staff to even come to my table to order a drink or food. then another 20 minutes waiting for them to bring me a margarita!! ridiculous. they had no information for me about the town. how to get money. where to eat. nothing. not helpful at all.

The room was so nice, especially the small kitchen and bar. The balcony was so nice with view into the jungle and a hammock!
The staff did not speak english.

We loved every moment of this place. The staff were welcoming, smiling and helpful. The location was a great getaway from the "spring breakers" in Cancun. The room we booked was excellent. It had a balcony with a hammock which faced the jungle. The walls are white and it is always bright and beautiful. Really nice concept. It had a kitchen and a fridge in the room as well as a sitting area. It is large and very comfortable/relaxing. Breakfast had 3 options to choose from, pancakes, omelets or oats alongside coffee.
It is absolutely not a big deal but the fridge was too loud. We did not have any food inside so we unplugged it. After that all the sounds in the nature were much much better. It was great.
Another tiny issue is the internet. Again, we were not there to surf the web so we did not care.

Spacious, clean room. Big refrigerator. Polite staff with reasonably good english skills. The house cat was lovely =)
Well.. our experience was ruined because of the first dinner in the hotel restaurant. My girlfriend got food poisoning from shrimp pasta, and stayed in bed for our three nights there. Also what I did not appreciate, was that the reception tried to charge this shrimp pasta in our bill, when we were leaving. In addition they charged us for few extras we had ordered for breakfast. We had to try different options since my girlfriend had to eat something! Still they did not feel that they should give those few slices of bread and some fruit as compensation of the food poisoning.. =( Not well handled in my opinion. Our room was on ground floor, basically attached to the restaurant, so we had to keep curtains closed our entire stay. Wi-Fi was quite useless.. it worked in the middle of the day, but immediately when people started coming from the beach in the evening or late afternoon, to connection was very poor.
3.5
Proximity of the beach, beach chairs provided by the hotel.
The inside of the rooms, simple but original, nice wievs from the terrace
Poor breakfast, poor restaurant, had to eat elsewhere, it's a pity, the place has a great potential, improvement in the restaurant would be a major adventage.
