Clean, comfortable, very well-equipped home in a fantastic location in Pacific Grove. Easy walking distance to ocean front trails and tide pools, aquarium, shops, restaurants, etc. The well equipped kitchen has everything you need for preparing your own vacation feasts and the beds are very comfortable for a good night’s sleep after a day of exploring all that the Monterey Peninsula has to offer. Fluffy towels and nice bath amenities. Comfortable family room with big TV when you’re ready for some down time.
This home has a pretty small outdoor area for sitting or gatherings. So know that it’s not great for outdoor meals, but the dining area that opens to the outside is comfortable for four people.
We won’t hesitate to return when we need our next coastal fix.

Pelican Peaks was fantastic! The location was ideal for us for many reasons: walking along the trail on ocean side, taking in the all the ocean life and scenery, winding around to lovers point and the cafe/restaurant, continuing on down the trail, simply magical. The house was very clean and very comfortable, 5 star all around.

My family stayed at this property for 3 nights. We loved the location - it is close to the Aquarium, Cannery row and the scenic trail is right at the end of the street. The property was clean, fairly bright and had a very usable kitchen (which we needed to help make food for our < 1 yr old baby). We also really appreciated that they had a pack n play that we could use. The upstairs bedroom is spacious and bright. Sanctuary rentals was very clear with providing instructions (before we reached) and also good with providing support (the dishwasher needed minor repair). We really enjoyed our stay here!

We came to Pacific Groves right after days of strenuous hiking in Pinnacles. It was so nice to relax and enjoy the sea breeze, great food and wine! Our host left us a lovely bottle of Chardonnay with crackers and cheese! The home was cozy and clean! The location was perfect! Close to Carmel and walking distance to the Aquarium and Cannery Row! Loved our stay and would gladly go back!!

The kaleidoscopic Pacific Ocean is half a block from the front door of this cozy art filled house. In the morning a dozen or more Sea Otters catch and eat their breakfast so close you can hear the crunching. The home is very charming and nice and the street quiet.

We had a wonderful stay at Pelican Peaks. The two bedroom cottage was perfect for our family of three. The interior was upgraded, clean, cozy, and well laid out. The property is 3/4 blocks from the ocean; you can hear the smoothing waves breaking from the bedrooms. We did not cook, but did notice a full kitchen with a complete set of pots/pans, appliances (water heater, crockpot, blender, etc.), drinkware (wine, water, coffee mugs, etc.), silverware, tupperware, very modern microwave/oven, and a new refrigerator. Not that it was expected or required, except for salt and pepper no condiments/cooking oil/flour/spices etc. is provided; just noteworthy for anyone who plans to cook while staying. Location-wise, the property is very close to the ocean and 5 minute walk to both the historical part of Pacific Grove as well as the newer downtown. There is no dedicated parking on the property, but we have never had problems parking on the street in front of the property. Sanctuary Vacation Rentals was very professional, communicative, and very easy to work with.

This lovely place is just steps away from everything: the ocean, the aquarium, the local knit shop, Cannery Row....the parking is easy so all you need do is unload and enjoy. Comfy furniture & beds. A wonderful, cozy place with the ultimate location for access to all things Monterey and Pacific Grove. We were able to spend each day exploring and then "come home" to this adorable house and have dinner together at the table. The kitchen is small but updated and perfect for a family. The porches have enough privacy and still have beautiful views. My son was able to see the ocean while lying down in bed in the mornings. My husband and I took our morning coffee every a.m. down to a bench at the bottom of the hill and just gazed at the ocean and the wildlife going by. The only real issues with the house are the bathrooms. There is one shower which is crazy small and one tub which is large, but has old fixtures. And the king size bed is a futon mattress which is okay for a night or two, but since we stayed for a week, we were quite done with it by the end of the week.

We had a very enjoyable stay at Pelican Peaks. The home is well equipped, and is very close to the Coastal walking trail. The yard is quite small, but pleasant. It was just the two of us, and our labradoodle, so the size of the house was perfect. I wish that some of the windows had screens on them, as the weather was lovely, and perfect for opening the windows to let in some nice fresh air. Unfortunately, we had a few bees who decided to join us as well.

This is a great property. Nice walkable location. The property was clean & everything we had expected. My only criticism would be the mattress in the upstairs bedroom was quite uncomfortable but otherwise we would rent this property again. We had a fantastic trip with our pups!

This house is in a great location with access to everything. The kitchen is fully equipped and the gardens outside are beautiful. We were disappointed that the jetted tub that was advertised did not function and the master bed is a futon with a foam pad on top of it (not a mattress) it was very uncomfortable. Overall we had a nice stay but would not go back again due to the bed. I had put in 2 calls to the management (that encourages you to reach out with anything) but never received a response back.

Cute, clean & convienient
You can’t beat the location if you’ve got kids and are visiting Monterey. Every morning we walked down the block to the ocean, and then strolled along the bike path a short way to the aquarium and the shops. This place had the best stocked kitchen I’ve seen in years. Family vacation
This was a clean and cozy older home with a lot of charm. The kitchen is upgraded and well stocked with quality tools. We appreciated the chairs and towels for the beach. The location is perfect: walking distance to aquarium and cannery row and a block from bike trails which takes you to lover’s cove in a few minutes.
The downside are the beds/mattresses- very uncomfortable and old and the lack of a proper shower. The shower downstairs is mounted at 4 feet without a hose! You have to sit or crouch to wash your upper body. Small upgrades are needed to make this a perfect home.
