Maria is the most wonderful host and she makes you feel so welcome in her beautiful holiday home. She responds to any questions you have quickly and is so helpful with local info and taxis etc.
The house is brilliant for large family groups - we were 15 people - 3 x families.
It is very spacious with a super well equipped kitchen(s),2 fridges and large tables for family dinners. It is a short car journey to the village where you can get everything you need including food market on Thursday morning and the best gelato shop.
We had such a great week and were very sad to leave - it was so relaxing by the pool, surrounded by the trees on gorgeous hot sunny days and evenings.
Comfy beds and fans to help cool the air at night for sleeping.
We all hope to return one day. Thank you Maria, it was better than we could have hoped for!

Myself and 14 friends stayed at Maria’s lovely property, communication was fantastic before and during the stay, we even got to pick the fruit and vegetables from the orchard. Maria also very kindly showed us how to make pizza dough and we got to use the pizza oven which was epic! The 30 minute walk to Manziana is doable (we did the walk and then 1hr train to Vatican City) but scary in the dark, so I definitely recommend 1 car for food shops. We also made the 1.5hr walk to Lake Braccino one day, it was lovely but lots and lots of bugs, and at times there were quite a few mozzys around the pool and bbq area - so buy mozzy spray. Overall we had an amazing time, and we recommend this to everyone who wants a fun holiday with a lovely view, lots of outdoor areas and local activities.

The communication with Maria was very good and friendly. We could also always contact her if we needed anything.
The house with its property including a swimming pool is very big and comfortable and perfect for groups and families! There is even an original stone pizza oven which we can only recommend for making pizza. We were allowed to eat fruit and vegetables from the garden which was great as well. And you wont get bored for sure with a table tennis and table soccer included :)

We can't say enough about how special our stay was. Maria met us at the door after a long flight and slog through the Rome airport. She took us through the house and then led us through a pre-arranged pasta lesson! It was the perfect way to start our first day in Italy.
We had one nonna and two families (kids aged 8-17) and our uncle, aunt and cousin joined later with a brief overlap. Many of our 9 person group had been to the area before but our four kids had not, and they loved the house! They especially loved the pool and ping pong table.
We found it to be perfect, with plenty of space for everyone. We were worried about being there in June/July without AC but it was comfortable with fans and beautifully fresh air at night. The dishwasher and washing machine were a big help too.
The property is enchanting, with the show stopping pool & an olive grove below. Large zucchinis and fragrant basil grew in the garden. The rooms were comfortable and large (beds good too) & the bathrooms were a good size by Italian standards. One thing to note: get a rental car that can handle some of the country roads because the road to Lake Bracciano can be quite bumpy!
We were there to see our Italian side of the family and host them comfortably. Maria and her team cooked a great lunch for us and our local family one day. She taught us how to use the pizza oven and made dough for us as well.
She made our trip truly magical and we hope to be back someday soon!

We were a large group of 13 with multiple ages of kids and adults. Lots of great space and the pool was lovely. Definitely need a hire car to go anywhere. Very good links into Rome from the village station. Maria was super helpful through the lead up helping me source hire vans and airport transfers and much more reasonable prices and also helped us when we got a puncture. She also gave us a selection of fresh fruit and veg from the garden on arrival. There are lots of things to remember on checking in which are not all written down so I would suggest writing down the instructions to make it easy to remember. A great place for large groups and well kitted out for lots of people. Thanks for a lovely stay 😊

Lovely stay near lake Bracciano.
With 8 friends we stayed for 3 nights in Maria's house. We loved it. The house is luxurious with a nice swimmingpool, bbq, etcetera. It's a 50 minutes drive from the centre of Rome. Contact with Maria was perfect. Due to corona we had to postpone the visit for 2 years (!). That was no problem. We had a memorabele stay!

Great for a family holiday
Spacious and comfortable. I stayed with my wife, our 3 children, their spouses and our 6 grandchildren - 14 in all - and we were well accommodated.
The house and pool are great. Lake Bracciano is in easy reach and there are plenty of bars and restaurants locally.
No problems. Would definitely go again if the opportunity arises.

Schönes sehr geräumiges Haus. Die Inhaberin ist sehr nett, freundlich. Im Haus war es sauber und aufgeräumt. Es hat uns an nicht gefehlt. Es war alles da! Die idyllische und ruhige Gegend ist perfekt für größere Gruppen und Familien auch mit Kinder geeignet. Die Kommunikation hat wunderbar funktioniert. Ich würde auch gerne wiederkommen.

Great villa
We booked this villa for a week in July 2019. There were 13 of us and we all had a fantastic time there. The house is spacious and the garden and outside areas are so nice and peaceful. Not once did it feel crowded in there!
The pool was brilliant and we spent a lot of time in there. In our party was 2 children aged 3 and 7 and both loved the pool. We used the gas barbecue which was great and sat out in the gardens to eat in the sun. It was so nice to have the family together in this beautiful setting.
What I would say is to book a rental car like we did as the house is a bit out of the way and some of our party had trouble getting taxis from Manziana centre when the car wasn't available! Manziana is a lovely town with a really authentic feel to it.
The train to Rome takes about 50 minutes from there and costs 3.60 euros return with the station in Rome being 15 min from the vatican. The station was about a 5 min drive from the villa so with a car it's easy and convinient to get there.
Maria was a great host who welcomed us and talked us through everything upon arrival and left us with some food and drinks to help. I would definitely recommend this house!

Very nice place. Good location, 2km to Manziana market. Very nice walking distance. Big house and very nice pool in the garden. Very good for smaller children also. Maria is very helpful and nice. Bigger town Bracciano also very near where is a very nice lake beach. Highly recommend this place.

Wonderful location for Italian holidays
We were a group of three families, 13 people in total, and loved this house which set a wonderful scene for our summer holidays! The house is spacious clean and well equipped, the pool and garden were enjoyed by both kids and adults. The pizza oven in the garden is a gem! The location is ideal for lovely day trips to nice villages close by, beaches at the lake and at the seaside, as well as to Rome. Wonderful stay in Manziana
We were visiting Italy with a family of 14 people and the villa was exactly what we were looking for.
The villa is in a beautiful secluded place surrounded by forests and hills. Yet just a five minute drive away from the services in Manziana and the train station to Rome.
It's roomy, has a nice a pool for kids and a fun gameroom downstairs with ping pong and fussball. The kitchen is good for preparing food for a bigger group and as all the necessary utilities and utensils available.
Maria was easy to contact and really helpful all the way from the reservation to check-out.
I can easily recommend this villa to anyone. Moreover, if we decide to visit Lazio again, this is the place we will be staying.

Our trip to Italy
Our trip to Italy was extremely enjoyable, and the villa was incredible. Maria’s hospitality and assistance in all aspects - recommendations for travel into Rome, food and activities - made things really simple for our large group (three families, including 5 kids). The home was clean, warm and welcoming to the point we felt like we’d always been there. Situated in the quiet countryside, the home is remote enough for privacy yet close enough (10min drive) to great amenities and scenic towns. Kitchen is well stocked with great cooking supplies and crockery; easy 45min drive to Rome city centre. Hofhly recommended for families traveling in groups.

Das Ferienhaus bietet viel Platz und und der Nähe gibt es vieles zu entdecken...
Wir verbrachten 10 schöne Tage zu 13. in der Villa. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgerüstet und das Kochen für unsere Gruppe war täglich ein schönes Erlebnis. Es gibt einen Pizzaofen welchen wir ebenfalls benutzten und erfolgreich sehr leckere Pizza selber gebacken haben. Um das Haus gibt es viel Grünfläche, einen sauberen Pool und genügend Platz für unsere 7 Kinder zum Spielen. Der Lago di Bracciano, etruskische Ausgrabungen, das Meer und Rom liegt alles in der Nähe. Wir genossen die Zeit und erholten und sehr gut.

On était 18 pour fêter un anniversaire...rien à redire, villa au calme, même à 18 nous n'avons jamais eu l'impression de nous gêner tellement la villa est grande et bien conçue. Amazing
The house is in a wonderful location with beautiful views of the countryside. Maria was a fantastic host from booking to showing us around the house and attending to the pool etc during our stay. The house has everything you need for a relaxing family holiday - there were 10 of us staying and so much space - the pool area is lovely with plenty of sunbeds. In the basement there are mountain bikes which we used and table tennis as well as table football, our teenagers thoroughly enjoyed the amenities.
We used the pizza oven a couple of times which was a real treat!! The house is very well placed to explore the lovely area, Lake Bracciano was great and we got the train to Rome from the local village.
We all had an unforgettable holiday and would recommend staying in this part of Italy at Il Ciliegio Villa.

Il Ciliegio in a word, great!
A very spacious house with several places to withdraw. Around the house is the garden where you can choose sun or shade. Cooling is done in the lovely pool. There are more than enough pans and crockery. We were allowed to pick the tomatoes, figs and apples from the garden. Maria is a friedly lady and has tips for you ready. We have been here one week with 8 people and we found it very unfortunate that the week was over. It's easy to take the train to Rome. Also in the area is sufficient to be seen to not get bored. However, you need to bring a car.

The house is very spacious with a beautifully living room and a big kitchen furnished for cooking. The bedrooms are lovely, with a rustic charm, very clean and spacious. The 3 Bathrooms are very well equppied with a comfortable showers.
There is Wifi in the house as well as satellite TV.
We enjoyed by the great pool completely private and the surrounding terrace and garden are very spacious and furnished with sun loungers and parasols. There are two barbeques one by the pool and the othere by the biggest garden.
There is a big supermarket around the house (10 minutes by car), the lake of Bracciano is very close (15 minutes) and also the see (30/40 minutes). There is also a train station to reach Rome but to visit the beautiful surrounding we recomend to have a car.
We enjoyed our stay greatly and recommend this accommodation to families or groups of friends.

Eher zufällig sind wir auf diese Ferien villa gestoßen, haben uns aber aufgrund der Bilder gleich für das Haus entschieden. Mit unserer Familie und Freunden Sind wir dann zu neunt angereist. Vor Ort erwartete uns bereits Maria mit einigen Getränken und Brot für unsere erste Mahlzeit. Das Haus ist wirklich perfekt und lässt mit seiner Ausstattung kaum Wünsche offen. Auch grosse Gruppen werden hier alles vorfinden was man als Selbstversorger braucht.
Der Pool ist wirklich gross und sauber. Der Garten bietet mehrere Möglichkeiten zum Verweilen, so dass man sich auch mal aus dem Weg gehen kann Für Ausflüge bietet sich Rom an. Eine Bahnfahrt vom nah gelegenen Bahnhof kostet 3 €.
Für Badeausflüge kommen der Bracciano See und Santa Marinella in Frage. Incantation Severa haben wir leider einen sehr unsauberen öffentlichen Strand vorgefunden.
Leider vergingen die 14 Tage wie im Flug. Wir würden aber jederzeit wieder kommen. Perfektes Haus Tolle Gastgeberin! Ganz klare 5✡✡✡✡✡

Lovely house
Great location in quiet and beautiful valley. Lovely family house with own pool where we felt at home. Close to beautiful Lake Bracciano, there are plenty of interesting places to visit nearby and of course Rome is less than one hour away. Maria is a helpful hostess who gave us a warm welcome and is very helpful.

Maria was a great help and lovely lady.
The villa itself was perfect just what we'd imagined rustic and charming. The pool was great fun for the children and adults alike and the gardens were perfect for the children to play.
I would say a car is essential if you are wanting to explore although we did take the train to rome. We found some fabulous restaurants in bracciano down the cobbled back streets but would stay away from the restaurants at the lake as these weren't great and we were later told that they were for tourists.
Try cantina de pepe which is about 3km down the road towards
Santa severa great food, nice people. The beach at Santa severa was beautiful and we had amazing seafood at Isola del pescatore. All in all a fabulous holiday and we will be returning thank you Maria for a great stay

Spacious house in peaceful countryside -a pleasure
We had a fantastic family holiday in Il Ciliegio, near Manziana, and would thoroughly recommend Maria's accommodation to anyone wanting space to themselves and plenty of trips into local towns and villages, not to mention Rome itself. Try Il Sorcetto restaurant in Manziana, wander through the old parts of Anguillara and Tolfa, visit the Etruscan necropoli in Cerveteri, swim in the lakes (yes, even in November!)...and then come back to open fire, comfortable beds and hot showers in this well-furnished house with a big garden. Car recommended, although several places would have been accessible using the hourly train from the village (2km away). Maria is very helpful and made sure we enjoyed our stay. Grazie mille!
