We didn't get the palace apartment we booked.🥺Not sure why. The apartment we stayed in was where you collect your keys, so convenient and near the ramparts, also gave us a bottle of wine. Expensive compared to other places in Spain but it was All Saints weekend. Everything in apartment worked.

The front door to apartment block was dodgy and we had to wait a couple of times for someone to let us in. No hairdryer - or maybe I just couldn't find it.

Excellent location. However.. our apartment ceilings was leaking in two rooms so we were moved to another apartment upstairs which was larger but not clean and not prepared.Very old and lots of redecorating required. Stains on walls..shower hose broken, Host's English was very poor but he was very pleasant. The other apartment has no towels, no beds made, all rooms tiles in particular needed to be steam cleaned...Very very old building.Little court yard area needed power washing. Kitchen very clean. Found food and rubbish in a cupboard so we were petrified there was going to be vermin. Didn't sleep well as a result.

This apartment which we booked had a pull out bed which my son slept in for the first night but pullout bed cushion covers were disgusting, and stained. Not enough room to pull sofa bed out fully as it was up against TV.. Very annoying for our 14 yr old... Should not be rented for three guests. Only suitable for two.. perfect for two if couch is cleaned . Obviously, the leak could not be foreseen. Moving a family of three to another apartment which was dirty, unprepared, broken tiles, filthy tiles, dirty bed mattresses, bed clothes in cupboards which were certainly not cleaned was very disappointing. Collecting the key at almost midnight from a different location was very inconvenient.

El edificio histórico es bellísimo. El apartamento es muy bonito y cómodo, está ubicado en el centro histórico.

No hay elementos básicos de cocina como sal, pimienta, aceite, una esponja para lavar los platos, un repasador para secarse las manos, cuchillos para cocinar. Sólo un papel higiénico. Tampoco café o té que suele ser una gentileza muy habitual en este tipo de alojamientos. Las ventanas no aíslan el sonido ni el frío, entonces es necesario usar el aire acondicionado prácticamente todo el tiempo y el lunes a la mañana el sonido de la calle fue insoportable.

A unique property in a fourteenth century building.

The kitchen was very poorly appointed (no toaster, no tea towels or kitchen sponges as were advertised would be included) with no instructions for the operation of the appliances. The TV channels had not been tuned so couldn’t be used. There were lights and power points that didn’t work, the air conditioner in the bedroom also didn’t work and on our third night there was a water leak and we were unable to use the toilet ! We were asked to move to another apartment which was even worse - bedside lamps without a PowerPoint, soap dispensers empty etc etc. The photos were most impressive but didn’t reflect reality. At over $AU800 this accommodation was very very disappointing. There was no offer to compensate us for our inconvenience either.

The location and house were amazing. As renovators, we really appreciated the effort the owner had gone to to retain and preserve the existing property.

There was no internet access or TV access because the wifi wouldn't connect. I had sent a message to inform the host who was meeting us we didn't have phone access as we were International tourists and were relying on internet access where we stayed so we would meet at the pre-arranged time at 4 pm. The host did not show and we had to ring and wait in extreme heat. Hosts should not rely on WhatsApp as the only form of communication with International clients.

Fantastic place, right in the center of Gerona, with style and comfort. The owners were supportive and nice. Thank you for such a pleasant stay in your beautiful city.

Synchronising for check in and check out was a bit difficult, though. Both times everything could be resolved with a phone call.
