Our family makes an annual trip to Ventura. We had a fabulous time this year. This property was great for our needs. It is very well maintained and we felt very welcome with some special touches from the owner. We made use of the back yard, enjoying the hot tub and eating all of our meals out on the patio table. The guest house worked well for use as an extra bedroom/bathroom.

This rental has all the makings of an incredible beach vacation. Sue is an amazing host who genuinely wants her guests to fully enjoy their stay. The house is well-appointed with great spaces to come together and to relax . The location is a winner for beach days, hanging out at the park or at the pier. We are returning guests and are already planning our next stay!

We stayed one week and loved the property. Everything we needed was there, and we were very grateful for all of the thoughtful extras (boogie boards, bikes, etc.) The back yard is awesome.
We spent the week visiting with family that lives nearby, and having this excellent beach house available gave us our own space and made for a very relaxing beach vacation.

Don’t go to Ventura in early June expecting sun! I think we only saw the sun twice. But the house was so great. The front and back yard were exactly what our puppies needed! They got to run around end enjoy. Steps to the sand! We enjoy walks all day and whether we were walking to the little park or the town or the sand, it was all so laid back and fun. Sue responded within five minutes with any questions we had. The neighbors are so friendly! Truly the best vacation rental we’ve ever been to. If we could’ve stayed another three weeks we would have! HIGHLY recommend !!

The owners were very welcoming and accommodating. It was the perfect house for a large group and even a full casita for those that like their own space. The back yard and front porch were perfect for our large group to relax and visit when we were home. Garage is full of everything you could imagine needing for the beach or fun! I would definitely stay here again!

I highly recommend this adorable beach house property: great location with a large gated backyard along with jacuzzi and fire pit and a fenced front patio; very clean and fully stocked (including beach chairs, sand toys and more); very hospitable and responsive hosts. The main house is more spacious than shown in the pictures. The guest house is charming and has a walk-in shower. Previous reviews described this cozy property perfectly--a 10/10. The only negative experience was VRBO overcharged its service fee even after the hosts also complained.

We booked a stay for 6 nights and Sue made sure everything was perfect! There was even a bottle of wine and some chocolates waiting for us. The spa was fantastic (went in every night) and loved the fire-pit as well. Sunset walks on the beach were spectacular and of course the pups enjoyed being able to run around the yard. We hope to stay again!

The house was very accommodating and comfortable. We had a group of adults playing at the local Throw Down cornhole festival. Every adult was comfortable. We enjoyed the closeness of the beach all the amenities at the house. The owners made it very reasonable to accommodate us for early check-in as we were all traveling out from out of town, definitely on the list for next

We spent 3 nights and loved it- great patio in front and lovely yard in back with hot tub. My friend loved the guest house which we decided to book last minute. Sue was very attentive and responsive and I would love to come back and stay again. There were 7 of us, including my mother and brother from
Holland. Used to live nearby in the mid 90s and I’m grateful Ventura remains a lovely quiet beach town….

We absolutely love staying at this home. It is just a few steps from the beach, and we really enjoy being able to get to the beach easily. The home has absolutely everything you could need for a fun beach stay. It was very clean, and all items were in great working condition. This home also has one of the best king-size beds we have stayed in out of all the rentals we have tried. Our entire family loves having a hot tub in the backyard to hang out in when we are ready for a break from the beach. The only way we could get our kids to leave the house when our time was over was by promising to return. That was an easy promise to make!

From the moment we arrived at this house in Ventura, it was clear that the owners have been renting their house for a long time, and are very experienced. There were so many extra towels, blankets, pillows, games, kitchen utensils, and beach equipment like bikes, surfboards, and boogie boards. Some friends of ours stayed at a nearby house and had to go buy the most basic of kitchen utensils, like a cutting board, but we had more than enough. We felt very taken care of. The house and neighborhood are vintage 70s California, with all of its charm. The owners were very responsive when we had a few questions. We were very careful to observe their rules, especially regarding parking, and the neighbors were very friendly and waved at us a lot. There really was no downside at all about staying in this house, which is about a 45 second walk to the beach. Thank you very much for being such a thoughtful hosts.

This was an amazing house, close to the beach. All beach toys were ready for use in the garage. The hot tub was great as well. Owners were easy to deal with and left us great personal notes and gifts upon our arrival. Will absolutely stay here again.

Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Sue’s place on Hanover. We used the boogie boards at the beach, rode the bikes to the yogurt shop, and warmed up in the hot tub. The wine and chocolate welcome packet were a nice touch. Thank you!

We loved our visit in Ventura largely in part to this wonderful rental! This house was well equipped and had everything we needed! It is very spacious and made for a very relaxing vacation! Mike and Sue communicated very clearly with us and were very responsive. We had several guests with limited mobility/handicapped needs but with all the space in the living room and patio, we were able to gather and hang out without any problems!! We had such a great visit and can’t wait to come back!

Our experience was wonderful. The house was perfectly laid out. Lovely outdoor spaces and less than a minute from the beach! The home was very clean and well kept. I was especially impressed by the extremely well stocked kitchen. There was everything you would need and then some to cook a large family meal including lots of glassware and plates. I would definitely rent this home again!

We travel often to LA for therapy for my son and this was our first time in Ventura. What an amazing little town! It was safe, quiet, and super chill! The property was great, loved the backyard, so close to the beach, and an abundance of towels (huge plus!). I would absolutely recommend this property!

We selected this property as a mid-way meeting point for our NorCal and SoCal families. Great property within 2 minute walk of the sand and gorgeous Ventura marina beach. The extra guest house meant family could be close but also have their own space. Close to super-market, and good restaurant options, when we wanted to cook and not cook respectively. Neighbors were honest and friendly. We had some great conversations with fellow dog lovers as we rode bikes to the pier and marina. Honestly had one of the best visits with my family in years. My wife enjoyed the little touches of home and the teenagers didn't complain about the wireless. Hot tub was super clean and upstairs deck super relaxing. A great time was had by all.

Our extended family of 7, including 2 grandkids, spent a lovely 4 days at this beach home. The casita in the back was ideal for our single son, and the house provided a lively gathering spot for all to play games and enjoy meals during a bit of rainy weather. The home and property exceeded our expectations, especially the fully stocked kitchen. The neighborhood was quiet and the nearby beach uncrowded during this holiday week. I highly recommend this property!

We absolutely loved our stay. The house has fantastic beachy touches, gorgeous front, back, and upstairs patios, and comfy beds. The kitchen is particularly well appointed, with good pans and knives and a well stocked set of spices and condiments - all much appreciated. 60 second walk down the street to the beach, and a lovely walk down the beach or the street to Seaward Ave for shops and restaurants. Our family group felt so comfortable here, we cancelled planned outings and just enjoyed the beach and the house. Highest recommendation.

We had 5 adults and 2 kids. This house and location could not have been better. Plenty of space inside and in the yard, steps from the beach, all the towels and beach toys anyone would ever need, etc. Really amazing and the owners were fantastic leading up to and during our stay. Hope to come back.

I've stayed in many rentals in the Oxnard/Ventura area and this is one of the best. A lot of thought and care has been put into this home and the experience that the guests will have. Everything was super clean and very well stocked. The garage is packed with all of the beach stuff you might need and more. The hot tub was an after thought when looking at the pictures, but we ended up using it every day. Sue was very responsive and clearly cares very much about creating a memorable experience for guests in the home. Never wanted to leave. Hope we can go back soon.

The property far exceeded our expectations. The layout of the rooms and the entire home was so enjoyable. The back patio was a cherry on top that we didn't take into consideration.
Not only this, but the host had us covered for everything. Kitchen utensils, plates, pots and pans, etc. The amount of towels for the beach and showering was perfect.
Lastly, there were a few bonus items in the garage that really made our trips to the beach even more enjoyable.
