Perfect little cabin for our family coming to town to spend the weekend together.

The property was beautiful. The house has broken window cranks. The roof was leaking and had a wet spot on the floor in the living room and on the first floor. The bottom sliding glass door did not lock. The house smelled like mold and their were coach roaches. Cananna reality upgraded us to another property. It was not a good experience in this home. I could not sleep. The home needs to be fixed and updated.

We have a lovely time and brought our dog. Some things I would’ve liked to have been updated .. the windows..not all or even most of them had screens and we were there in July so we needed the windows open and screens on the sliding glass doors in living room. Some of the windows were broken. And the blinds need attention.. some also broken ..would’ve loved some comfy chairs on the deck for morning coffee .. hot tub was perfect! Carpet needs replaced in living room; kitchen overall clean.

We had booked this property for four nights. Our first night was generally fine, though the house could use some fixup on both interior and exterior. The hot tub was in great shape, which I always find to be a gamble with rentals. Unfortunately, when we woke up the following morning we discovered an issue that made us feel unsafe to continue staying in the house. While there are possible ways that issue could have been addressed, those efforts would have affected our ability to enjoy the house for the remainder of our stay. We contacted the property manager, Canaan Realty, and notified them of the issue. To their extreme credit, they identified another available rental in the same area and let us complete our stay there. That house was quite nice, and an upgrade in some ways from the one we had rented. We are appreciative of Canaan Realty's efforts to make the situation right, but the issue we found still meant we had to spend a chunk of time on a short trip moving between rentals.

First time visiting the area and the house was in a great location. Not too far out of the heart of Davis and very close to the other attractions of the Canaan valley. The house can easily accommodate multiple couples as a group retreat.

This unit was perfect for our winter visit. The furnishings were comfortable and clean, plenty of room in the kitchen/living area and a great view from the deck. Took advantage of the hot tub and fire place on a quiet evening dining-in. Down stairs bedrooms looked comfortable but we only used the laundry on that level. Convenient to cross-country & downhill skiing, hiking trails, and the town of Davis.

Came to ski and had to have a hot tub so this place was the best we found on short notice. Only my wife and I but we enjoyed our stay. Great location right by both ski resorts. Great house for 2 or 3 couples or a family. Town of Davis is only 5 miles away. Area is pretty undeveloped which is fine for us…if you’re expecting nite life there’s not much in the neighborhood except gazing at the star filled sky while in the hot tub. Would rent again

Master bathroom shower needs a makeover. Kitchen counter was missing some laminate along the edges. I’d recommend staying away from this one. I even left an email message with the owner but no response.

Close proximity to slopes. Everything we needed was there.

The home is adequate for all of a renter's needs. The view is top notch. Family room area and bedrooms are spacious. The home itself is older and not recently updated...so think of it has a bigger version of a cabin rental in one of the state parks...plus you gwt the hot tub and tv with subscriptions. Home is managed by rental company which was responsive and very clear on instructions and provided good info on the area.

Check-in was a breeze because of the attentiveness of the property managers. We came for skiing but received hours of rain in the unusually warm temperatures. Instead, hiking nearby was tremendous. Beautiful valley that we will explore again.

We had pleasant stay with great cabin location. Restrooms needed fixtures & deep cleaning. Despite of paying good amount of cleaning fees, we had to do lot of things by ourselves.

Great little cabin in the mountains. A few minutes from town, a few minutes from several overlooks, and a hot tub with a view. Private, lovely.

The view and location are top notch. Hot tub was very clean, millions of stars to see at night. House was clean, warm and fully stocked. Quiet area, close to many great things to do. Can't wait to come back.

House was nice! The view amazing. Hot tub was a nice bonus and was sparkling clean. The bed and couches were comfortable. My only complaint is the screen is missing in the sliding door to the balcony, and with no AC you want that breeze, but we got a LOT of flys inside because there’s no screen. The main level shower takes a while to drain also. One thing I was disappointed about is they pets are allowed, but you can’t take them to the lake area. I may have missed that, but that was a big selling point for us was the lake, and we ended up not even utilizing it for this reason. None of these things would stop me feom recommending the place. It had everything we wanted and needed.

Visible water damage and humidifier in bedroom with twins. Leak under kitchen sink. Master bath tub did not drain. Master bath toilet clogged easily with no plunger in house. Kitchen did not have enough utensils to serve one meal for eight. Otherwise, view was fantastic and location was very easy

Also the cleaning wasn’t great. You could tell it was cleaned but still very dusty and bugs everywhere. Also we knew going in no ac was available but a recommendation might be to have some fans available since there were no ceiling fans in the unit. We would have loved to open the large door on the deck but the screen door was broken we didn’t want to bring in more bugs. Kitchen was great, beds were comfortable, tv and couches were great. The house was amazing until the plumbing went bad down stairs, had manger and maintenance come look at it but theres nothing they could do about it at that moment, I was promised some type of reimbursement for this but I never received any more information on that either.
