Let me explain my title. We have always felt that St. Croix was in fact a place where doing nothing is everything meaning the island has a magical pull a place where if you don’t want to do anything other than sit in a chair on the beach all day then that is enough.
Sunset Villa is this place! With the amazing views that the lanai offers to the spacious living area. Creatively decorated with local art and splashes of color throughout, Sunset Villa offers all the amenities and more! The grounds are well maintained and the pool is a huge plus especially on days when the sea gets a little rough to swim in. I must add that the owner of this property, was so helpful when it came to several questions we had before making reservations and even after we had arrived making sure we were happy in our space, thanks so much Renee!

Long walk on beach to Sandy Point is uncrowded and great. Snorkeling is OK but care is needed to find a safe place to get in and out over the rocks. Property is neat clean and well cared for.

Nice stay. I booked 10 nights 12/20-12/30/2023 but only stayed nights #1, 9 & 10 because I had a friend's place to stay the other nights. Unit is nice, prop mgr did a nice intro at check-in. Pool temp was nice, neighbors were nice.
Warning on the dates: Frederiksted has an annual festival 12/28-1/6 (ck FB). The music was terrible and loud from 7pm to 3AM 12/28, and 7pm-1AM 12/28 & 12/29. Only the bass and singer came through, but very loud, w/o the rest, so even if you like that music(?), it didn't sound like music. I'm 60, yes a boomer, but not by nature, I grew up on late 70's punk, ska, electronic and reggae, these are still my go-to play list, so normally I would just join in. This was horrible. We didn't sleep at all 12/28 & 12/29 prior to a long day of airline travel. Nice unit, nice bed. Having a cooler and beach supplies is awesome, helps with luggage space. Renee was very helpful and understanding with my reservation change. Would stay again, just not during the festival.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this property, right on the water with beautiful ocean breezes, comfortable accommodations, and a safe place to stay on island. The manager for the property was very nice, too. We would definitely stay here again on our trip to beautiful St.Croix!

The unit was very nice. It had everything you needed and then some. Being there in July, AC in the living room would have been nice. Betsy was kind enough to invite us to go snorkeling with her and some friends. We basically had the entire complex to ourselves. The complex grounds are kept very nice. St Croix is somewhere we would return and will look at staying at Renee's condo again. Thank you for allowing us to use you home.

My husband and I booked this rental as a trip for our 20th wedding anniversary. It was everything I wanted. The condo was nice and it felt like we were at the location alone. Renee is very attentative and helps out immensely with any questions you might have

This beachfront condo is literally steps from the beach. Upon arriving, we found it be clean, nicely furnished and very quiet. The only negative was the barbed wire fence that surrounded the entire property. It was certainly a bit of an eyesore but given the reasonable price for a beachfront location, we got over it and simply stepped through the gate and enjoyed gorgeous sunset views every evening from what felt like our own private beach. Although the condo is not air conditioned (except for the bedroom) the breezes made it mostly comfortable. The bedroom temperature was perfect for sleeping. The caretaker at the condo was super friendly and shared a lot suggestions for dining, bars and beaches. We explored the island quite a bit (a rental jeep is a must) and were pleased to discover that the beaches and water on our side of the island were among the best. We had a terrific time and enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed the beach out the window day and night. The flow through breeze felt amazing. The sunset and sunrise is visible over the water. The only complaint is the sheets were slightly too small for the bed so they came off very easily.
Some of the best snorkeling on island was just out the window. The host provided great snorkeling gear. One of the best beaches on island is right there but it is only open on Sat and Sunday in the Winter. We loved our stay and found it a great romantic get away.

The location of the condo was perfect and easy access to Fredericksted and the highway to Christianstead. The complex was very quiet with a very quiet beach front, perfect to enjoy morning coffee on the gallery, or dinner at night. It was nicely decorated and all of the furniture was very comfortable.
The reason for the 4 star (accuracy of listing) is because the beachfront by the condo is a rocky shore. The full sand beach entry is at least 100 yards in either direction, with a sandy/rocky entry about 50 yards away. It is a beautiful beach, though.
The west end of the island is shielded from seaweed and offers several beautiful beaches for swimming and snorkeling very close by. Rainbow beach was awesome.
Renee was very quick to answer any questions before and after we arrived, and very helpful with dining and activity suggestions.
We would definitely stay here again.

Dream Vacation
The condo was beautifully decorated and literally steps away from the beach. Everything you need for a day at the beach was available for use including snorkel gear! We hope to make it back to the island and when we do we will rent this unit again.

Good location. Near Frederiksted and dive shop and restaurants. Grocery store nearby. Stop and Shop had good selection and prices. Used Nep2ube dive shop. Great dives. Condo right on beach, had everything you need including beach equipment.

Owner was very prompt with all communications and quickly answered all our questions. Condo was clean, spacious and maybe bigger than the pictures made it appear. It's location on the first floor and near the southern end was very convenient. Liked having the first parking spot (as you enter gate). I would definitely recommend this quiet and private location if you're staying near Frederiksted. We walked to town every morning and everyone was very friendly.

Great place for a week
Very good but the barbed wire fencing was a bit off putting. Still, when we figured out where to swim (by the beach cafe), all was fine. Well kept, well provisioned. Not much to do in the cities. Walking on the roads facing traffic was okay. We did not have a car by preference. It is a good place, very spacious and pleasant. We used air conditioning only one night but probably should have used it every night for better sleeping. The Cafe on the beach was very good every time we visiited. We are not sure about whether we will return to St Croix. In 2019-20 we spent 2 weeks in Kihei, Maui, and will probably return there. At any rate, traveling during the pandemic is not particularly pleasant and is particularly worrisome.

Cannot Wait to Go Back!
A beautiful home right on the ocean. Everything you need is available to you from restaurant ideas to snorkeling gear. Kitchen is stocked with whatever you need if you choose to stay in and cook. Communication with owners is top notch. Property manager met us when we arrived and was just as helpful.
Beaches are beautiful. We went snorkeling daily right in front of the rental or down at the pier in town.
We had an amazing time and cannot wait to go back.

The air in the bedroom worked great and we loved entering the bedroom in the evening for a cool sleep. Not a con, but a wish would have been a TV in the bedroom, as we wanted to watch it and be cool. We never watched in the living room as it was hot.
The pool was closed for repair and Renee credited us to swim at the next resort. The pool looked amazing though once it's all ready to go. The resort next door was lovely and we ate there multiple times.
The condo is located at the end of a strip which was very private and nice. We ventured out all around the island and we agreed it was the spot we enjoyed the most. Can't wait to bring our family back to the island. Overall we loved this stay and place.

Lovely comfy home on the beach
Pros: nicely appointed home just like pics with everything you need and then some! Seriously all the amenities. Very comfortable, especially the bed. Amazing view and beach just steps away. We found out later that beaches on west end are terrific and I agree, especially if you’re into snorkeling, calm water and no seaweed. Owner is super helpful.
Cons: If you’re pool people and not beach people, this probably isn’t the place for you. It was unavailable all week, and I saw no signs of repairs. Plus it’s very neighborhood pool feel, not resort feel. And A/C… it’s scarce on island as a whole, and only available in bedroom. The windows and breezes make it manageable, but only just. I’m from the south and like my A/C lol
Overall a terrific place for us.

Great place for a quiet getaway
After the past year+, we were looking for a nice place to getaway. This fit the bill. The building is far removed from any other developments. All beaches are open to the public but even on a holiday weekend nothing was ever loud/crowded on the more public beach to the east. We almost felt we had this part of the island to ourselves.
Getting thru the airport was easy, rental car pickup simple, and was at the condo with 40 minutes of landing. Quick, simple explanation of the property.
Easy walk to a nearby beachside restaurant for lunch/brunch. Very short drive to Fredericksted for dinner options. Plenty of activity options nearby.
We were initially not prepared for the temperature of the main living are in the unit, but quickly figured out how to optimize the airflow with the windows. As noted in listing there is only A/C in the bedroom, but it works great and sleeping conditions were good. Lots of fans throughout which help.
Plenty of outdoor areas to sit around the unit. Big pool right next to the beach. Covered areas to escape the sun. You can access the water directly in front of the building but there are easier areas to either side (this has to do with the geologic makeup of the island—none of the beaches are like Gulf Coast or US Atlantic beaches)
Very happy with our choice to stay here and wouldn’t hesitate to do it again.

Amazing Condo!!
We couldn’t be happier with the place. So nice having little extras we didn’t have to go buy. Spices, paper products, etc...

Amazing reef right in front, we saw a ton of cool stuff snorkeling in addition to diving. I’ve stayed many places on St Croix and this was by far the best!!! Renee was amazing with communication! Property manager was wonderful. Not one negative!

Watch sunset from your front room, can get noisy on weekends
We loved this condo! The location was excellent because it is right on the beach, secure, close to the pier for diving and great snorkeling in front of the complex (go to the left). Well equipped with everything you could possibly need. Across the road is the salt pond, which can get stinky when the wind blows from the east, but most of the time the breeze is right off the ocean. Didn't even need the AC, although it's there if you do. Washer/Dryer, lots of linens, nice furniture and the bed was very comfortable. Pool was very clean. Renee, the owner, was easy to contact and very helpful. The only downside is that the local young people like to cruse back and forth down this road and they play their music extremely loud. Motorcycles were very loud too, but this is only on the weekends. The rest of the time is was peacefully quiet. We'll stay here again!

Beautiful condo!
This was our first stay on St Croix and the accommodations did not disappoint! The condo is located on a beautiful stretch of shoreline with phenomenal sunset views. It was spacious, very clean, well supplied, and nicely decorated. The large bed was very comfortable And we slept quite well with the windows open and the sound of the waves lapping on the shore. It's proximity to the gorgeous and expansive Sandy Point Beach was very convenient. The pool, gazebo with grill, and the grounds themselves are well kept. The people in the neighboring condos (residents and other renters) couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming. We also had everything we needed for the beach, including beach chairs, plenty of towels, etc. Snorkeling gear was also provided but we didn't go snorkeling so we didn't need it. The only negative we experienced was a fair amount of noise (music and traffic) on the weekends due the locals hanging out, picnicking and partying, on the beaches surrounding the property. The noise and traffic weren't extreme, only a minor annoyance and would not prevent us from staying again. I can't say enough about the owner, Renee. She was quick to reply to inquiries, very accommodating and helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about our comfort and satisfaction. If we ever returned to St Croix we would definitely stay in the Sunset Villa again!

25th Anniversary Trip
The property was clean and spacious for a one-bedroom. We loved being right on the water. Everyone was friendly and the area is quiet because it is on the far end of the beach. I would definitely recommend a car to get around. I will recommend this property to friends and family.

Time Flew....
We had an absolute blast staying here! There is so much to do to keep you busy and local wise there is more than enough to do! We came here for our honeymoon and absolutely enjoyed ourselves from the beautiful sounds of the waves, to the Island breeze blowing through the condo and getting up early am to walk right out back of the condo to snorkel and see beautiful coral reefs, fish, etc.. Upon arrival we were greeted by very pleasant caretaker, Althea :) She gave us a ton of information and was such a great person to talk to and deal with! The condo was clean inside and also the entire property was very well kept. At night we enjoyed watching the mini hermit crabs scatter around and swimming in the pool onsite, which is also very well maintained and clean. I could go on and on about how much other stuff we did but most of all I want people to know that this is a great place to stay! From day one with dealing with the owner and my 50 billion questions, to the very last day that we stayed there it was an over all great experience & we highly recommend this to all!!!

We LOVED staying in this well maintained and well-equipped oceanfront condominium. It was spotless and had everything we needed plus some. The pool and grounds are equally well maintained. The owners and the caretakers were readily available in case we needed anything (which we did not). The description and pictures accurately depict the setting and the unit; we could not have been more pleased.

We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Villa. It’s quiet, laidback atmosphere is exactly what we wanted. Renee, the owner, was easy to work with from booking through checkout. Mark, the property manager, lives on site was helpful and informative. This lovely condo was clean, spacious, very comfortable bed, and nicely decorated. It’s updated and we loved the lanai with its beautiful view of the sea. Sandy Point Beach and Dorsch Beach are gorgeous and nearby. Fredricksted is a quaint, small town with a few nice restaurants near the pier. We enjoyed the seafood at Cibone’ and our sunset cruise, Lyric sails, was outstanding!!!! Great condo in Fredricksted
We enjoyed our stay at Sunset Villa. It’s quiet, laidback atmosphere is exactly what we wanted. Renee, the owner, was easy to work with from booking through checkout. Mark, the property manager, lives on site was helpful and informative. This lovely condo was clean, spacious, very comfortable bed, and nicely decorated. It’s updated and we loved the lanai with its beautiful view of the sea. Sandy Point Beach and Dorsch Beach are gorgeous and nearby. Wonderful stay for our 25th wedding anniversery
My wife and I just spent 2 weeks in Renee and Victor Rudolph piece of paradise
Renee was helpful and informative as we were picking where we wanted to spend the 2 weeks and we hit the right place.
She was also helpful and responsive through the whole stay and checked on us after we arrived to make sure all was well
The condo is well furnished with good furniture ( we have stayed at places that had cheap furniture) and the view from the screened lanai that is also the Eating area was awesome with the view of the Caribbean Sea and the beach right outside
The rest of the Building/estate was well kept by the onsite maintenance man who was the one half of a great couple who were so friendly.
The other amenities and grounds were well maintained. The place was quite at night and you could fall asleep to the sounds of the sea.
The other owners/renters that were there were friendly and often gathered on the beach in sand chairs to watch the sunset and have a few libations and conversation
Being on the west side gave great sunsets and calmer water than the other beaches we visited. . There was not a day that we did not snorkel or just float out in the water right out front for hours each day.
One last note is you have to get ribs from SMOKE STX!!
I would highly recommend this condo if you visit St Croix USVI
