Extremely clean, and well kept home. Very peaceful setting, and a wonderful place to come back to at the end of the day. Deer resting in the yard, and wandering in the neighborhood. Walking distance to downtown Custer. Perfect place for a weekend, or a longer stay!

It was great, despite snow and rain!

Was quit surprised on the location up on a hill, a little hard to locate at first. Very quite location, nice yard. the home was very clean. Had all the cooking essentials that you ever needed. Beds were very conformable & clean linen. One draw back was the the TV. It only had 5 Stations. And we could not connect our smart phones to the TV. It was not a Smart TV.. So we went without. The girls were a little put out. But they had to deal with it. Its vacation time. would go back again. Over all rating 9 out of 10. Owner was very helpful regarding the TV situation and was willing to help out to her best.to make it better for our stay. Thanks Lennor

Great property. Easy to drive to all of our destinations with Custer as our base. Home was comfortable with a quiet neighborhood.

The property is ideally situated being within walking distance of the town and an easy drive to the attractions in the area. The garden area is lovely and we were fortunate to see deer and turkeys wandering about. The kitchen is quite basic and in our view in need of an update. A number of previous reviews have mentioned how a dishwasher, washer/ dryer would be beneficial especially when people are staying for a longer duration. We would be inclined to agree. As the property is listed as accommodating up to seven people we feel that there needs to be more storage for clothing. More clothes hangers are definitely required. We lived out of suitcases for a week. Although the property was lacking in certain areas we did not let this deter us from having a wonderful time in the Blackhills. After all the house is purely a base. The adventures, outside of it, are the most important to us!

The only downfall to this house was that the air conditioning is not adequate for the 90 degree temps. Sleeping at night was a bit uncomfortable in the upstairs, but even when the doors were left shut as suggested by the owners. All in all, we had a pleasant stay and I would recommend this house.

We really enjoyed the location of the house. It’s close enough to Custer to walk into town and was very quiet. The accommodations were tidy. The host was responsive to questions. Laundry, a dishwasher and a few more kitchen items would be helpful additions for those who plan to stay for longer periods and who plan to cook a lot.

We enjoyed the central location for our adventures in the Black Hills. The property was clean and the kitchen was stocked with the essentials. We spotted deer from the windows several times.

We enjoyed having a house that was so close to town and great motorcycle rides.Couldn’t ask for anything better!

Our stay was amazing. Having coffee every morning and watching wild life in the area was so relaxing and rejuvenating.

Great stay in Custer

We enjoyed our stay! Perfect spot in Custer, and was just 15-20 min away from most places we visited, CSP, Wind Cave, Crazy Horse, Mt. Rushmore, etc. We did take a day and travel to Devils Tower which was around 2 hours away, stopped at Spearfish canyon and Deadwood on way back. It was close enough in town to walk to the little shops, and just a 2 minute drive to the laundry mat. Kitchen had all the necessary items we needed. If you enjoy watching wildlife, here is the place to stay-- we seen several deer, and even turkey on our last day there.

The house was great! The check in easy! GPS did take us directly to the home. Easy to find, lots of activities in the area! Very relaxing atmosphere. Would highly recommend!

This place was even better than expected. It had plenty of room, had the rustic feel we were hoping for, was very clean, and was close to everything. This was our first time to South Dakota and we loved it. This home made it even better. The owner was very easy to communicate with and we didn't have ANY problems during the whole stay. I will tell anyone I know to stay here if they are headed to Custer.

great location to the southern black hillts

We loved our stay here! It was close enough to town and all the things we wanted to see, but still felt far enough away from everything too! We will miss seeing the herd of deer every morning and evening!

Enjoyed staying at the house. It was convenient to Custer State Park, Mt Rushmore and Crazy Horse. Town was very cute and not too touristy. House was clean and fit our every need. Thanks.

This was centrally located to many area attractions. Place was clean and comfy. Really enjoyed the wildlife visitors -- deer and wild turkeys. Would stay here again.

This was the perfect launching point for our family visit to the Southern Black Hills. Nestled away in the heart of Custer, everything we wanted to visit was within a 30 min drive. We also could easily walk to the main drag in town within minutes. The property itself was as advertised. Everything we needed for our stay.
