There are 2 units on this property and they are both nice but small. The unit I stayed in is good for 2 people but I don't recommend more than that. I stayed there as a place to getaway from the remodel of my condo but it is about a mile from the beach and the local shopping is good so it is a vacation spot too. The owner, Ken is a good guy and very helpful.

The location is great! I was here to assist family and it was a great place to stay! The apartment had all I needed and was in a quiet neighborhood. Ken was super helpful and friendly and always responded immediately.

Ken was a very kind host & easy to communicate with! The apartment is a great size for a single or couple with everything you need. Location is a short bike ride to the beach!

I booked Ken’s place for a few weeks and enjoyed my stay immensely. Appreciated the garage parking, close proximity to the beach, and the space itself was a good size for me and lil pup! Ken was a great host and answered all my texts/questions within minutes. Highly recommend staying here if you’re planning on visiting Huntington Beach!

This is my second stay and everything was again perfect. Ken is always available to help with any mishap, and he is diligent if something needs taking care of. The house is within walking distance to the beach and the Pier, the neighborhood is safe and quiet. A wonderful stay, even with the inclement weather as a backdrop.

The location of the property is within walking distance of Starbucks and a shopping center with a few restaurants. It’s a lovely neighborhood and very safe for walking around. Ken is very accommodating and ran off to the store to buy things that I needed. I had to ask for drinking glasses which I would have thought would be standard in rental unit. The kitchen has a regular size fridge with freezer which is nice. What I didn’t like was entering through the garage and the unit is quite dark inside. I came to HB to escape the heat of Phoenix, so I wanted to be outside in the glorious weather but there was no seating set up outside for guests to relax. Noises from above and beside the unit made sleep difficult. A small coffee table or end table next to the loveseat would be helpful to hold a drink in the evening. The dog potty area is up half a dozen steps to the owners backyard. There is no railing. The strong scent of fabric softener on the sheets and pillowcases gave me a headache. Fortunately I brought my own pillow but the scent was still strong. There’s no screen on the backdoor but curiously there is a pet gate, so for ventilation I left the door open and the gate kept my puppy in. However that left room for insects to crawl or fly in. I didn’t enjoy my stay, but maybe the above wouldn’t bother someone else.

Ken and May are wonderful hosts, kind and helpful. Their property is a short walking distance to the beach, the pier, and the downtown area, and in a safe and pleasant neighborhood. I was fortunate to be able to book with them as they are always full and I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quiet place to put up your feet after a day adventuring.

We will be back to rent from Ken again next time we are in Huntington Beach. It was just perfect for our needs and Ken was very helpful and available for anything! I suggest this studio for 1 or 2 people. It is small but has everything you need. It was great to be able to use the garage and washer and dryer. We travelled with a small service dog and he also did well in the space!

Huntington Beach has many things going on and this unit is close to all of them. The unit is very clean and cozy and it's private entrance makes it private. The owners bend over backwards to help you with anything. Even leaves a space in the garage for you while he and his family all park outside.

Very kind, perfect size for the two of us. Excellent yard for the dog!

I visited Huntington Beach for two weeks to observe schools in the area. Ken's studio in the back of his house was a perfect fit. It was clean, spacious for one, and in a quiet neighborhood. It even had a garage! I was also able to bring my small dog which got me out and around the very safe and friendly neighborhood. (Hungtington is also one of the most dog friendly places I have ever been.) It is a short drive to main street and other interesting shops and restaurants. There was a shopping complex three minutes from the house that had a grocery store, wine bar, a number of places to get food and as well as a yoga studio. I also enjoyed driving down the PCH, easy drive to Laguna Beach, Newport and Long Beach. Ken was available for any questions / needs I had, very gracious. I would definitely stay again.

Ken was very flexible and helpful during my stay. I found the rental to be both peaceful and practical. There are many hummingbirds and butterflies that you can watch on the porch!!

Ken was beyond accommodating and the space was simply lovely. Everything was simple, easy and clean. This place absolutely made our trip and sincerely recommended staying here if you are traveling to southern California.

Ken and his wife were so sweet and accommodating! I had to be in town for two weeks of work as a nurse, and I sleep during the day, so I wanted something quiet and comfortable. I found that and so much more! The Huntington Beach pier was so close, as well as a trove of amazing eateries and views. Shopping and groceries were easy to find. Even the hospital where I was working was a fast and easy drive away. And the best part? The frequent visits from hummingbirds to the fountain right outside the door of the unit. I was enchanted. I will definitely stay here again given the chance! 💛

This is a great place to stay for a individual who wants to be close to, but not on, the beach..who wants to go do their thing and return to a peaceful and simple surrounding. It is well furnished and comfortable. I was visiting family and it was perfect. Ken was a gracious host. I encourage you to consider this property. I found it to be the most affordable property in my budget as well as a delightful place to hang my hat in the evenings and relax and then rejuvenate in the mornings. My stay was extended but I am sure a shorter stay would have proved just as satisfying. The best daily visits (except for the ones from my granddaughter) were from the hummingbirds that came to drink for the garden wall fountain. In this mass of humanity in Southern California, hummingbirds, a sweet little squirrel and blooming bird of paradise flowers put a natures welcome mat at the door to this quaint property.

The place is well situated; Very close to shops and food. Beach isn't far either and the walk there is easy! Ken was wonderful and friendly, my friend wanted to come visit (She was seeing family in another state) and he was happy for her to stay with me and even took us sight seeing! Couldn't fault it even if I tried and when I hopefully visit that side of the world again I will no doubt try and stay again! Thank you!

I would definitely recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a little hidden retreat near the beach. It is located in a great neighborhood, and it's in close proximity to everything Huntington Beach has to offer. Great neighborhood, spotlessly clean, well equipped. 10 minute walk to beach. Even closer to restaurants and grocery stores. Ken is a pleasure to deal with.

My boyfriend and I chose this property because of location (5 min drive to the beach), because it said it was clean (which it was) and because it says it's a one bedroom that can sleep a third in the living room. I'd like to say first, Ken was kind and accommodating but I just think others should know this is not a one bedroom. We rented the larger tiki unit because a friend wanted to rent with us and the description said it was a one bedroom with room for a third in the living room. The unit is a small studio with a wet bar. There is a curtain that just covers the bed area but not the entire sleeping area by any means, so there was no privacy. Also, the sleeping space for the third person (a grown man) is a twin cot with many stains on it. I wouldn't have slept on it, even though they kindly provided us with clean sheets. Our third person ended up leaving a day early but we still paid for him per night, which I can't see the justification for. Should also be known there is no cable (even though there is a cable box) and no a/c which honestly wouldn't usually be an issue, but it was very hot and Ken was nice and provided us with extra fans. Just thought I'd point this out. Proximity to the other rental is like a foot so you don't have much privacy if shades are open. All in all, if you just need a place to sleep for one or two people, it's ok, but saying a third person (besides a child) will be comfortable feels like you're not getting what you expect. And I want to reiterate that this family is very thoughtful and willing to accommodate but I just didn't want others to get into the same situation as we did, unknowingly.

This rental is great,close to the main area of Huntington and within walking distance to the pier and main street.Walmart around the corner for food.Nice being able to park in a garage.The neighborhood is very nice and seems very safe.Ken gives a great price too! Ken was very accommodating and was there for anything that was needed,(thanks for the extra heater Ken!).We will definitely rent here again and it was so quiet,we really loved it.

Ken was very easy to reach and very helpful. We got stuck in Vegas and could not make our trip to Huntington Beach. Ken was extremly thoughtful and allowed us to come back to enjoy our trip at another date. Thank you Ken.

Small cottage but perfect. Had everything you could need..hairdryer, curling iron, all kitchen appliances/cookware. Even had coffee & the fixings. Loved the view from patio doors to view the water fountain that had frequent hummingbird visits to bathe.No complaints at all. VERY reasonably priced. Easy bike to the beach. Highly recommend. Even the bathroom had a heater in the ceiling fan/vent. If you are a big TV watcher, not a lot of stations to choose from. But it's too beautiful there anyway to spend inside watching TV! Enjoy.

I stayed here for eight days and it was a positive experience. Ken is a great host and I consider him a friend after staying at his cottage. He goes out of his way to make sure everything is perfect. The location was just right. Close to the beach (a nice 20 minute walk with a Starbucks along the way), yet quiet at night and close to whatever amenities are needed. I hope I get another chance to stay in such a beautiful area soon. We stayed in the smaller cottage the first few days then we moved to the bigger unit towards the end of our stay for a bit more room (two guys, not a couple). The smaller unit is perfect for a couple though and If I head back with my girl friend it would be perfect.

Ken was the perfect host and helped me greatly with local information on shopping and coffee drinking. Paradise Cottage was the perfect place for my week's stay in HB. It's in a wonderfully quiet area of the city, a residential area within walking distance of the beach and local amenities (The corner of Atlanta Drive and Beach Boulevard). I spent a lot of time at Starbucks and recommend Mamas at 39! The staff there are great. Thank you Ken for a lovely, problem free stay.

My 2-week stay in this cottage was all I expected it to be and more. Many amenities were provided, such as paper products, dish and laundry soap, etc, and it was very clean. The owner was courteous and helpful and it is located in a very nice neighborhood. Restaurants I liked, were Polly's Pies, and Spark Woodfire restaurant in downtown HB. I would definitely stay at this cottage again.

We stayed in the Tiki unit when we came for our grandson's birthday last July. Everything was so clean and comfortable, Ken has thought of every possible comfort for his guests. When he saw that we had two little grandsons, he even came out with some special toys for them. It is his personal touch that makes this rental head and shoulders above any other place we could have stayed. His is a pleasant and well kept neighborhood, very quiet and really close to the beach. We're looking forward to our stay at Christmas time and many more visits to come! Thanks for everything, Ken.

My husband, daughter and I spent 5 nights in the Tiki cottage. The location was great for us as we love the beach and Main Street area. The primary purpose of our visit was to see family in Seal Beach, HB and Long Beach...convenient location for those family dinners. I must agree with others that Ken and his family are very helpful and make sure their guests are comfortable and not wanting for anything. I hope that we are able to make this our "home base" on our next trip to Orange County.
