Unsere Wohnung ist 96m2 mit Küche, Bad, zwei Schlafzimmer und zwei Wohnzimmer. Die gesamte Wohnung wurde kürzlich renoviert. Ein Schlafzimmer hat ein Kingsize-Bett und das andere Schlafzimmer hat 3 Einzelbetten (90 cm). Es ist kein Problem, zwei Einzelzimmer zu einem 180-cm-Bett zusammenzustellen. Im Wohnzimmer haben wir ein Schlafsofa, also ist es der perfekte Ort für eine große Familie oder zwei Familien, die nach Island reisen.
Im Wohnzimmer gibt es HD-TV mit über 50 TV-Sender, Playstation 3 mit wenigen Spiele zu spielen oder DVD / Blueray. Die Wohnung verfügt über Internet-Highspeed, sowohl WLAN als auch Internet-Stecker in jedem Zimmer. In der Küche gibt es kleinen Tisch mit 3 Stühlen und im Wohnzimmer gibt es großen Tisch mit 6 Stühlen. Stühle und Raum für Babys können bei Bedarf geliefert werden. Das Badezimmer verfügt über schöne Dusche. Ein privater Parkplatz ist im Preis inbegriffen.

Loved our stay in this exceptional apartment! Hope we are lucky enough to stay here again!
This place is in a quiet, delightful neighborhood. It's tastefully decorated with plenty of room to stretch out and feel "at home" after a day of exploring Reykjavik and beyond.
The modern kitchen was well supplied with dishes, utensils and cooking gadgets, though we ate our dinners out at the many restaurants within easy walking distance. There is also a little convenience shop within walking distance for some foods and essential items.
The beds were incredibly comfortable and we all slept so well! All the windows have room-darkening shades and there is plenty of closet space.
The bathroom has a pedestal shower in it that worked really well. No drainage issues, plenty of hot water (being Iceland, of course) and you can control the intensity of the shower spray.
Kjartan kindly left a brand new hairdryer at our doorstep when we discovered the apartment was missing one. :)
There is a clothes washer located in the bathroom. A Hotpoint Ariston AQD1171D 69ID. Download instructions for use.
Helpful hint for fully flushing the toilet: Pump the handle completely, but quickly, 3 to 4 times when wanting to flush the toilet. Nothing wrong with the toilet itself, it just seemed to be a learning process for us! Ha ha!

Lovely 2 bedroom apartment in a quiet neighborhood very close to everything. Unit has off street parking and a washer dryer combo unit in the bathroom. Full kitchen, dining room and living room plus two full bedrooms make this a flexible and easy place to set as a home. Base for exploring Iceland.

Lovely apartment, great location
This apartment is located steps from Hallgrímskirkja and a short walk to restaurants, shopping and downtown attractions. The apartment is lovely, spacious with lots of windows, a full kitchen (including coffee!) and comfortable beds. Washing machine includes dryer option but there is also a large drying rack, as well as iron and ironing board. Kjarten kindly met us at the apartment to give us the keys and show us around. Exceeded expectations! We would happily stay here again on our next trip!

We really enjoyed our stay at the apartment. Amazing location, great clean place and very nice host who made reservations at a local discount. I’ll nlynissue we had was that the toilet handle was broken, but we made it work. Kitchen was super small but we’ll appointed.

This property was exactly what we needed for our trip to Iceland. It was very spacious and clean and walking distance to al of the sites we wanted to see in the city. We had rented a car and had no trouble with parking at the property. The neighborhood was quiet and safe.

Great Experience
We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights and it was a great experience. The apartment was spacious, clean, bright and a great spot to hang out after our adventures in Iceland. The bedrooms and beds were great and we all had great sleeps. The location is excellent as the immediate area is quiet but it is only a short walk to the central area with all the tourist sights and restaurants.

Just Perfect!
We loved this apartment! It was nice and clean, exactly as pictured! Convenient location, just 2 blocks to the Church and beginning of town. Bus stop #8 was located at the Church, very convenient for tour pick-ups. Kjartan responded quickly to our emails and suggested a great restaurant stop for us along our Golden Circle trip. Would definitely book again if and when we return!

A lovely start to our vacation
Accommodating host; convenient, pretty location and thoughtful, charming decor. Comfortable beds and bedclothes, street and drive parking and WASHER AND DRYER! These are at a premium in Reykjavik. (They also work a bit differently from those in the US, especially the dryer, which, in this case, collects excess water and must be emptied rather than just venting damp air outside.) As of this writing, there are no dedicated self-serve laundromats in Reykjavik. There are four washers and dryers at the Laundromat Cafe downtown and some at the City Hostel.
The only caveat is that, at the time of this writing, it seemed clear that the apartment below had a smoker in it, and we are non-smokers. The entry smelled like cigarettes, as did the laundry room. The odor did not seem to permeate either this apartment or our laundry, though, so it ended up not mattering much at all.

This is a large apartment very close to the city center. It has everything you would need and was spotless when we arrived. Kjartan is very responsive with questions and will take you to and from the airport for a competitive fee.

Very comfortable apartment. Lots of restaurants and things to do within walking distance. Apartment is located in the downtown center of Reykjavik, along side a tall church, impossible to get lost! Kjartan is a great host and is very helpful, knows the city well. We would stay here again.

Perfect place for us!
We loved staying at this apartment during our week-long stay in Reykjavik. It's location, in a quiet neighborhood, is within walking distance of everything in town so we easily could get to all the restaurants, shops, museums and sites. There is an amazing bakery just a few blocks away as well as wonderful coffee shops. There is a grocery store nearby for the basics. The neighborhood is lovely and we had a view of the iconic Hallgrímskirkja church out the kitchen window. The apartment is well appointed, had all the kitchen things that we needed, and good wifi. There is a washing machine and dryer for clothes, which was really important for us. Kjartan was great to work with and very responsive. We rented a car for a couple of days and there was private parking at the apartment that we could use. I highly recommend this apartment and would stay there again.

Great location!
It was a pleasure having met Kjartan; he picked me up from the bus station because it was a bit rainy. The station is maybe an 8-minute walk. The apartment was so central to everything you can ask for: two blocks from the church and a market with great pastries, downtown was just a skip away and tour pick-up location less than two blocks away (if tour doesn't pick you up at the apt.). Wonderful Apartment, Warm and Inviting Hospitality
Our family of 4 (2 adult kids) stayed at Sjafnargata 8 over the Christmas holidays. The apartment offers everything one could need: fully equipped kitchen, exceptionally comfortable master BR, large dining table, roomy bathroom and nice big windows from which we could enjoy the snowy wintry weather. The location is ideal - on a quiet street but near all of the city attractions. It was such a treat to walk through the Einar Jónsson Sculpture Garden on our way back to the apartment every day. We did not need a car at all. Our host Kjartan was so very accommodating. He responded quickly and thoroughly during our planning process. For a very reasonable fee, he picked us up from, and dropped us off at the airport. When there was a hitch with the microwave, he ran out and bought a new one - on Christmas eve (honestly, thank you for that Kjartan!) All in all, one of our favorite trips.

Excellent stay over New Year
My partner and tow friends stayed over new year for a few days. Reykavik is amazing for New Years eve with a spontaneous firework display by the big church which was only a couple of minutes walk from the flat.
Check in to the flat was straightforward. The flat catered for all our needs and was well equipped throughout. It was clean, warm and cosy (especially give the cold outside). We would definitely stay here again when we visit Iceland.

Firstly all communication before arrival was excellent.
We were collected from the airport and taken directly to the apartment, which is central and has everything you could need for a stay in Iceland.
All the main attractions are in walking distance and trips and transfers are easy to arrange.
Wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to anybody.

Awesome location and perfect flat
We stayed here in October 2016 along with our two kids. It was the perfect spot for our family to be during our stay in Iceland. Parking was easy and it was an easy walk to restaurants and things to do, but at the same time a very quiet, pretty neighborhood. The apartment is exceptionally clean and well equipped. It was a great set-up for us to have our kids in the room with two twin beds. It is an apartment building so we tried to be mindful of noise since our kids are so little. Kjartan was great to work with - responsive, helpful, and kind. All in all, we would stay here again in a second! It was really a perfect spot for us and we had a great family vacation here.

Great location!
We had a lovely stay. The owner was very helpful getting us a high chair and crib for the infant. The apartment was clean and quiet and exactly how it looked on line. Check in was easy and the owner was flexible with the times which was really appreciated as we were all flying out different part of the day. There is private parking and is located a stone's throw (5 minute walk) from the church and the main downtown hub. Very easy to walk to everything (museums, dinner, shopping, play park for kids). The bed was comfortable and there was clean linens if extra were needed. Very handy to have the washer available especially since we were traveling with a small child.

Owner and Apartment can't Be Beat
4 of us just spent 5 nights in this wonderful apartment. It is located on a very quiet residential street not far from everything you want to do and see in Reykjavik. Kjartan is a wonderful host making sure that all our questions were answered. He even booked a tour Into the Volcano for us and made all the arrangements. The pick up location for tours and transfers to the bus station is a short block and half walk. Also a close stop for the Hop On Hop Off sightseeing bus is located just by the church. The apartment was in the perfect location for us. We could easily walk to dining and shopping. There is a convenience market very near by and we could pick up fruit, cereal, skyr, milk and juices to have on hand for breakfast. The apartment was very comfortable, beds warm and inviting. The kitchen was well appointed. I'm sure if there was anything we needed that Kjartan would have taken care of it right away. We would love to return to Iceland someday and when we do we hope to stay here again. Thank you, Kjartan!

Our group was 4 women and this apartment was perfect for us. The location was ideal, quiet and close enough to be able to walk downtown. The space was clean, nicely appointed. Grocery stores were close so we could purchase some basic items. Kjartan was wonderful in our correspondence in setting up the rental. Loved hearing the bells of nearby Hallgrimskirkja! Four of us (all over 50) spent a wonderful 3 nights at this apartment a few blocks away from downtown Reykjavik. Kjartan was so helpful in answering all of my questions before arrival. He picked us up at the airport and then even gave us a short tour of the city before dropping us at the house. We found the home to be very clean, quiet and in a perfect location for us to explore the town and the country. We all hope to return again in the future and we will absolutely stay in the same house. Thank you again Kjartan and congrats to the Icelanders on a terrific run in the Euros!

What a great place to stay for the New Years holiday. A few quick blocks to the church and awesome downtown shops. Clean, warm, great kitchen, bathroom and beds. Coffee machine great little asset. They went above and beyond helping me out when I ran into a little dental emergency and they were able to find me a dentist on New Years Day! We are planning to return and we will definitely look for them again.

Two friends and I just spent a week at the apartment and it couldn't have worked out better.
Kjartan picked us up at the airport. Even though it was midnight he oriented us to the neighborhood so we would be ready to go the next morning.
The apartment was close to the Hallgrimskirkja Church and the center of Old Reykjavik, making it convenient to walk everywhere. The accommodations were modern, clean and comfortable.
Kjartan was responsive to any questions we had, before and during our stay, and the apartment had lots of travel information to use as reference.

We recently took a family trip to Iceland with my 2 boys (age 6 and 7) and my in-laws. We stayed at this perfect flat which provided many of the conveniences to keep 3 generations of travelers happy. The adults often hung out in the living area and watched through the big windows into the backyard as the boys played soccer. We walked everywhere and loved how our quiet side street was still in the heart of all the attractions. The kitchen was beautifully stocked and we had breakfast there very morning as well as a few lunches and dinners. It had everything you could ask for -- comfy beds, beautiful kitchen and bathrooms, tasteful decor, satellite TV, free wifi, easy parking in driveway, and laundry! Kjartan was great to work with - he met us at the flat for our early morning flight and had even stocked the fridge for a quick breakfast. You should definitely stay here!!! We will be going back ourselves and will stay again -- I just hope it's available because anything else would be a let down.

Out family of 6 had plenty of room. The location of the flat was wonderful-so close to everything in town. We love Reykjavik! It's so cute & walkable. The people are really friendly & conveniently nearly everyone speaks English. We rented a car & did the Golden Circle. What an amazing country!! I am stunned by how beautiful everything is. And every night we came back to the flat where we had plenty of hot water & comfy beds. Kjartan was so helpful, picking us up at the airport & taking us back, giving us tips on where to eat & what to see. We are definitely coming back!

A nice appartment, with space, calm and comfort. The owner is very nice and was on time for the appointment. He also provided additional light and table that we needed without any problem. A little private garden is accessible just down the appartment.
