Wonderful!, is the best way to describe my stay at Nature's Ridge. It had all of the amenities I needed. It was my home away from home. It was quiet, relaxing and filled with nature and fresh breezes. The hosts, Roy and Bonnie were amazing and their hospitality was impeccable. I would definitely stay here again on another visit to St. Croix.

I cannot say enough about how much we enjoyed our stay with Roy and Bonnie Caton. The house is beautiful and our apartment was so attractive and well appointed! Truly it was a joy to stay there and i wouldn’t hesitate to give my highest recommendations!!!

I normally do not do reviews unless I have had a terrible experience or an outstanding experience. I have to say that this experience was "OVER THE TOP" in excellence!
We loved the property, the peace and quiet was exactly what we needed. Communication with the Owner was outstanding. I loved the surroundings and felt so very safe. I will be visiting again in the near future. Anything and everything you needed while away from home was provided. Very awesome experience!

Not only was our location in the Rainforest beautiful and the house wonderfully kept and supplied (Beach chairs & cooler, too!) but our host was ever so helpful from the moment we arrived, and was patient when our MIA-STX flight got canceled and we scrambled to rebook.

A modern, clean, well-built/kept property nestled in the hills about halfway between the airport to the south and Cane Beach to the north. Our host Roy was terrific, the property was spacious and comfortable and it included a full-sized kitchen that allowed us to cook some of our own meals - not have to dine out all the time. There is good air conditioning but at night, if you wanted it off, you could listen to the chirps and clicks and calls of the rainforest critters around you. During the day, you watch an entertaining herd of goats on the neighbor's hillside. It may not be an oceanfront property, but it was an affordable, quality experience and, what the heck, you're on an island anyway so the nearest beaches are only 15-20 minutes away by car. Don't forget that you drive on the left side of the road ;) A great stay; HIGHLY recommended!

After reading all the glowing reviews for Estate Two Friends on vrbo, I made a week-long reservation for my husband Tom and me. Due to family issues, I stayed home, but Tom went ahead with the stay at Roy and Bonnie's vrbo apartment. A friend of ours stayed in the adjacent, smaller apartment. Below is Tom's review. -- Val
Roy was an excellent host. Everything was perfect in this clean unit. Roy was helpful in finding me places to get my flat tire fixed at a good price. Roy and Bonnie were friendly people and I would not hesitate to have them host me any time. The views of the rainforest were filled with birds, goats and cows roaming the road and in the valley. A high clearance vehicle is definitely a positive since the road could be a bit of a challenge for a "low rider".

We continue to be repeat guests at Roy's and Bonnie's retreat in the rain forest. I LOVE their property, very quiet, easy access to where ever you need to go with the right vehicle (definitely suggest 4=wheel drive). They are excellent hosts, supply pretty much everything you may need, and will do their best to fulfill any requests you may have. Highly recommend!

This is the cleanest place we have ever rented. The apartment was spacious and had everything we needed. The kitchen appliances were in mint condition. The mattresses are more comfortable than the one we have at home (I meant to ask the landlord what brand they are!). It is located in a peaceful rainforest setting, and a pleasant patio overlooks sheep, goats, cattle, trees, and birds. A short walk up the trail leads to a distant ocean view (the rent is very reasonable compared to oceanfront/ocean view rentals.)
The location is central to the west side of the island, only a few minutes from the best grocery store, about 15 minutes from Frederiksted, and 15 minutes from the best shore diving sites near Cane Bay on the north shore. The landlord accommodated our need to rinse and dry our dive gear by letting us use the hose, and we could drape everything over the patio railing.
He also came to the airport, led us to the grocery store, and then on to the apartment; It would have been hard to find without his assistance, but was easy and convenient once we knew the way.

Located in the rain forest, the setting is beautiful. The unit was clean and cool, even without the AC running, and we were there in the summer. It even included a washer and dryer. We didn't use the kitchen much but it had everything needed. I would stay here again.

This was a return stay, and I welcomed the peace, comfort, and beauty more than ever. This place and the welcoming generosity of Bonnie and Roy in providing it, makes it a home away from home with the added touches of luxury and everything you could possibly need to have a perfect stay for vacation, work, or a simple and joyful respite. I will be back, for sure!

Great place with washer dryer and full kitchen. Easily accommodate a family of four or 2 freindly coulpes.... limited privacy. Overall experience was great and we enjoyed our stay in the rain forest. Be sure to check out the Tidal pools near carobella, and Boabob tree in the nearby park.

We had a wonderful time during our stay this Holiday.The place is very relaxing, clean and nicely designed, it has everything needed to make the stay enjoyable.Roy is a very accommodating host, we hope to go back soon!

We stayed at Nature's Ridge March 5th - March 9th and I honestly have never stayed in a better place while on vacation for safety, peace and relaxation. Roy and Bonnie V. are the most gracious hosts. Even though my cousins and I were there for only a short time we felt like we were home away from home.
The apartment is modern and spotless. All you need to take with you are your personal items. Everything else is provided. I do suggest a Jeep or SUV rental as the road to the apartment is a bit rough but well worth the drive.
Bring some hiking shoes so that you can hike the rain forest and enjoy the flora and fauna around the apartment building and along the road up the mountain. There is a working farm with ducks, turkeys, goats, cattle, and more next door so there is plenty to see. The pond is home to native birds as well.
We slept with the windows open and the sounds of nature was pure music.
The apartment is just a few miles from the shops and beautiful beaches of Frederiksted.
If I am ever fortunate to return to St. Croix I would definitely choose to stay at Nature's Ridge. Five Stars and Two Thumbs Up.

To start this is not your average hotel stay. They first meet you at the airport to greet you and show you to their home.(a nice touch for those unfamiliar with the island).
The house is beautiful, very peaceful, and serene. Clean is an understatement. The cantons include everything you need to get out and enjoy the island.(too much to list).
Nature's Ridge will not let you go without anything. There goal is to ensure your stay is great. And they do! They are unbelievable people. We wouldn't consider staying anywhere else ever. Can't wait to see them again.
We've stayed at hotels and resorts and never received service like this!

This vacation was really not a vacation, me and my husband came with his mom and brother for a funeral. Although we searched for a place to stay and I am very picky when it comes to cleanliness and updated things. I saw the pictures on line and I was hoping that it will look similar once we arrive. We booked and we reached there, the owner was waiting for us at the airport and he was so patient as we waited for our bags and rental car. He showed us how to get to the apartment and he gave a tour of it. Me and my husband was amazed because it looked just like the photos and it was what I wanted. Everything from cleaning supplies to cooking supplies are there for use. I felt like I was home. It was my first time here but my husband and family is from here. This will be a place that I will recommend, which I never post a comment but I had to definitely because the owners did a outstanding job and his wife was so nice and welcoming. Thank you guys both.

I brought my wife and two children to St. Croix from Tennessee. We really wanted a nice clean place to stay and didn't really care about the beach that much as we knew any beach would not be far away.
We saw the pictures online if Mr. Canton's place and took a gamble. We had already been looking at other places online and were not very impressed.
When we arrived at his place and showed us in we were greatly pleased. It exceeded our expectations. The pictures do not do it justice.
Everything was in order. All items for eating and sleeping and washing bathing and grilling was provided for. Just bring your food and clothes and rent a car.
The room we were in accomodated my family easily. Plus living in the mountains of the rainforest is so beautiful and peaceful.
Stores like Kmart and plaza west grocery very near.
All we can say is come here and you won't be disappointed but renewed relaxed and ready to enjoy your stay in St. Croix.
