Room were large for Japan standards. Very clean and close to Kyoto station so made it very easy to get around the city. Doesn't have view but didn't really miss it as we are mostly out and only came back to crash.

We got adjoining rooms which was very handy for 2 adults and 1 teenager. Rooms very clean and comfortable. Washing machine useful. Great location, easy walk to station. Quiet area.

Not a lot of storage space if traveling with large cases. Kitchen/bathroom area can be a little squashy with more than 1 person using the area.

Location: Quiet side street 5 minutes walk south of Kyoto main station which made it easy to get to and from things while being away from the crowds at night. Place has a washing machine and dryer combination - only used the washing function. Rooms have everything you need. Smart lighting concept outside the windows to make it more pretty that there is no view but a wall. It didn't even bother us and you have maximum privacy with the curtains open. :) Beds comfy, staff super helpful and friendly. Clean, modern, not worn down or dated at all. Highly recommended.

They didn't have a cloths horse to hang your washing but they helped us out with plent of coat hangers. needed to get a little creative on where to hang those, but it worked out. :)

Very closed to Air Port Bus, train station, bus station, tourist centre. lot of restaurants, shopping. Friendly and helpful staff. Modern design with kitchen and washing machine.

So close to the major train station. Many restaurants and mall within walking distance. Room was spacious and had everything we needed for a comfy stay.

Steps from Kyoto station but nestled in a residential neighborhood so very quiet. Close to everything you would need. Mini kitchen and washer dryer in room was amazing.

No windows to the outside, so it was like living in a cave.

Extremely kind Staff: the Receptionist was so kind to help me with a personal issue (I lost an item at the airport and she generously helped me retrieve it). Cosy and spacious room with a very nice atmosphere.

Breakfast was very poor. I have stayed in EPH hotel in Takayama where the breakfast was very good (excellent cooked breakfast plus pastries etc. - it really set you up for the day). At Kyoto there was little to choose from, just a few slices of bread, one type of pastry and little else. Not enough and not enough choice.

I was so pleased I chose eph Kyoto - it was very affordable for Kyoto and I thought might not be so good - but it was wonderful. Small, no dining or bar really, but it was extremely comfortable, very stylish, staff wonderful and so lovely. The best of Japanese culture. And easy walk from Kyoto railway station - which is a tourist detination in its own right.

No problems at all. The rooms open onto a semi-enclosed walkway and don;t have opening windows so you do need to learn how to manage the aircon or it might too hot.

Close to the train station, very calm, great rooms with even a washer/dryer and some with a small kitchen. Very comfortable beds. Several convenience stores and restaurants nearby.
