Good choice, excellent quality and plenty on the plate. We thoroughly enjoyed our evening meal and breakfast. The service and ambience of dining was friendly and comfortable.

An absolute 10/10 hotel!
The staff could not have been nicer, the breakfast and dinner were superb and the rooms were absolutely gorgeous.
We travel across the country for work and stay in hotels across the UK and the Victoria was easiliy one of the best we have had the pleasure of staying in this year.
We had been stuck in terrible traffic getting to the hotel and called ahead to let them know as it would have meant missing dinner (which was included in our particular booking). They were so accommodating and even though we were not expecting it, they then prepared a selection of sandwiches and other nibbles to replace the evening meal we would have got had we not have been delayed.
This was SUCH a welcome treat upon arrival after a long and difficult journey and we were so grateful to the front of house staff and of course the chef for such a kind and welcome gesture.
The area speaks for its self, both beautiful and picturesque, however staying at the Victoria was simply the icing on the cake.
We have already tried to book again but there is no availability on the dates we required; had there been we would have most certainly stayed again!

We had a great weekend stay and stayed in a lovely room in The Ancient House. The staff were really helpful and went above and beyond to make our stay a good one. The location of The Victoria was perfect for us to just down tools and spend two days walking’ talking, eating and sleeping well.

Fantastic location, comfortable room, great food
A lot of dogs. The rooms were not decorated in a very imaginative style. The buildings are so old and lovely, it would be nice to see the rooms reflect the character of the exterior

Fabulous attention to detail. Small but cosy and immaculate room with beautiful fabrics and fittings. Very friendly and helpful staff. Food was very high quality, interesting with lovely tasty changes from the normal fayre served up everywhere else right now. Will definitely be back - hopefully to stay longer next time. Many thanks for a lovely stay.
Loved that it was dog friendly (even though we’re not dog owners), but a couple of noisy dogs in the dining room one evening should have perhaps been asked to leave or go outside for a bit. I realise this is the owners issue and not the hotel, but maybe clarify with owners re behaviour/ expectation to leave if badly behaved?! The same would/ should apply if it was noisy humans (of any size) too! But difficult for staff. Why are some humans so oblivious…..sigh.

Some owners have no control or awareness of their pets habits affecting other diners. One night dining experience completely ruined by one table owners. Staff were made aware but ignored issue

Very pleasant restaurant with friendly service and an interesting menu. The Ancient House was an intriguing place to stay and we were very comfortable. We enjoyed the peaceful surroundings and beautiful places on the estate.
We had one dish which neither of us thought had been well designed. We both found the shower hard to control.

A very nice hotel in the old village of Holkham, very convenient for access to Holkham Hall and the adjacent beach and bird reserve on the north coast. Our room was large and very comfortable. Food at both dinner and breakfast very good.

Right from our arrival and until our departure everyone was charming, proper customer service but without fuss. Excellent food (Breakfast & Dinner) and great attention to detail in a relaxed environment.
It would be easy to reflect on the cost of our stay as a negative however when taken as a whole it was acceptable. My only disapontment was that there was not a bar menu available at lunch time. Although the restaurant was open.

The location was perfect, beach one way Holkham hall the other with the beautiful deer to see. Breakfast was gorgeous after staying in a very lovely comfy and spacious room. My husband really enjoyed his birthday with you and we would definitely stay again. Overall a wonderful experience.
This is a very minor thing as our stay was fantastic but I would say my dessert wasn’t as expected. The chocolate mousse wasn’t what I consider mousse to be, lovely and light and fluffy. As I said a very minor thing. Thank you for a love stay though.

The bedroom was rather cold - and the bathroom even more so. The receptionist was very helpful with x2 fan heaters. Perhaps a bit more bedding would have been good for the night.

Choice of breakfast was varied and food was very good.
Personally we do not think that dogs should be allowed in the restaurant, one couple had three large dogs with them at the table, not very hygienic.
