Lovely little touches, lovely Christmas hamper waiting for us and beautiful Christmas decorations by Bj,nothing was too much from Ian, a lovely man, very friendly and went above and beyond.

A beautiful, well presented home with everything one could need for all the family. The hosts had thought of everything and made us feel very welcome. A lovely hamper was awaiting us and milk in the fridge for a much needed cup of tea! We will definitely come back in the future. Thank you Ian and Bj. Jean and family

Bishopsgate is a lovely home from home. Superbly clean which was reassuring, especially in this time of Covid-19. Very well equipped, I took tea towels, dishcloths, kitchen roll, toilet paper etc with me but there was no need as it is all there. Very good communication with Ian, the owner, who was very helpful. To top it all, there was a fab welcome pack which included lovely goodies for us on arrival, including wine, a cream tea, chocolates and biscuits. There is plenty of garden space to enjoy too.

Wow, what a fantastic home we absolutely loved our stay over Christmas.
Wow, what a fantastic home we absolutely loved our stay over Christmas. We had such a warm welcome from Ian with lots of lovely surprises from a Christmas hamper to amazing decorations around the house. The garden was secluded for our small dogs and then of a night the tree outside was beautifully decorated. The location for local amenities beaches and sightseeing was spot on.
Everything’s the house was provided, clean and beautiful.
We will definitely be back and 100% recommend to family and friends, loved it at Bishopsgate ❤️

If it was possible to score more than 10 then I would as Bishopsgate is that good.
It was lovely to be greeted on arrival by the owner who showed us around and recommended places to go and restaurants to try, the welcome hamper was lovely treat.
Wellswood is a delightful village which has everything you require, including a deli which has a café serving excellent breakfasts. only 10 minute walk from the house.
The owners Ian & BJ and the poodles were fantastic hosts and everything was perfect.
Would highly recommend Bishopsgate as a super place to spend a relaxing holiday.

We had a wonderful 10 nights at Bishopsgate, for the time of year (November) it was a lovely warm cosy house to come back to. We made the most of public transport to visit numerous places around Torquay.
We had the best host you could imagine, who was so kind and helpful. We were left a wonderful hamper of goodies too.
We wouldn’t hesitate in returning to Bishopsgate .

We were pleasantly surprised when walking into this property, it completely lived up to the photos and more. It was spotlessly clean, and so warm and inviting. It was lovely to come back to after a cold day out, always so warm and inviting. It had everything you would need , even though we ate out every day, after all we were on holiday. We wouldn’t hesitate to book this property again

Six star service from the moment you first met the Owner who can't do enough for you on your arrival or throughout your stay. The attention to detail that will leave you wanting for nothing. The house is immaculate, there are thoughtful little details in every room which make this house a cut above the fabulous. The welcome basket is tasteful, useful and very much appreciated down to the freshly frozen ice in the freezer waiting for you. A beautiful property in a beautiful location within easy reach of the coast (300yrds up the road), to the village that hosts all your needs. We stayed during Halloween and the owners had tastefully decorated it for us. Give yourself a treat and go and experience luxury at a great price,. We will definitely be going back. Thank you Bishopsgate we love you.

We had such a lovely welcome when we arrived and everything explain about the house, local eateries etc, we also received a gorgeous hamper which the family loved.
Our 3 Bulldogs loved the garden and made themselves at home immediately, after all it was there holiday as well !

Wow! From the minute you walk in you are really getting a 5 star experience. The spacious layout, gorgeous decor and homely feel made this holiday a real "home from home!" The location is fabulous with beautiful walks, beaches and exciting outings for the kids right on your doorstep.
It was lovely to be greeted on arrival by Ian and shown around and the welcome basket was a nice treat. Thank you Ian and BJ for being so accommodating and quick to respond to any query we had.

We had a lovely welcome by Ian, the owner of the property, along with a superb hamper - we knew straightaway that we had chosen the right place for a great holiday. Bishopsgate is very dog friendly with a safe garden set in a perfect location, ideal for scenic walks. We would definitely stay again.
