Price and location was good. Small but clean room with a good bed. Read about people dont have towels, but every morning when we went out (stayed 5 nights) we could take as many as we would, at night they where gone indeed.

No staff available. Friendly woman checked us in (coincidence?) but that was the only time in 5 days we saw someone. Otherwise self checkin is also available if no staff is at the counter. Got a fishing scam in my private booking.com app.(!) Messaged me in the app o ne day prior to booked date to recheck my creditcard details, or the booking could get cancelled.. Knew my name, dates we stayed, everything. Send me a mail as well. When i read the (phishing) mail i could choose to contact booking.com in the mail. i did and they (the fishermen, not booking.com apparently) couldnt handle my questions why i needed to recheck my creditcard number. So i didnt and nothing bad happened. BUT BOOKING.COM ITSELF I COULDNT REACH IN ANY WAY!!! Wanted to report this issue to booking.com, BUT COULDN'T CONTACT THEM IN ANY WAY, ALTHOUGH THEY EVEN HAVE A SPECIAL PAGE ABOUT SCAMS SAYING YOU NEED TO REPORT AND CAN GET HELP. NOT!!! VERY BAD THING!!!!

Large rooms and very cheap

AC and bed amazing. It's within walking distance from old Town and Kyoto station, but not too close so it's in a very quiet area.

The room had very few "surfaces" to put our stuff, just a narrow table with a lot of stuff already. Not even a shelf in the wardrobe.

Everything was very clean, convenient location - close enough to the train station

The place is not ideal for longer stays, as there was no wardrobe in my room to put my stuff in, just a couple of hangers

The tap and shower water where very chlorinated. Had to buy bottle water to drink in the room because of this

Great place! Nice and clean room, perfect location. Also very quiet building. Washing machine availbale in the place. comfy beds, good wifi. Really reccomend!

Great location and great prices. Room was very comfy. In the lobby, I was able to use the prepared bicycle locks to chain my baggage before the check-in and after checkout, which was great to explore the city.

The hotel was easy to find and in a good location. The staff was really friendly and welcoming and check-in procedure was really easy. The room itself was great, it was a good size, spotlessly clean and had all listed amenities. For this price, this place was amazing!

fantastic location, pretty central to the city so many different landmarks were never more than say 45 minutes away by public transportation.

there wasn’t much of a staff presence at the front desk. it just had a telephone there in case you need to ring someone. some may enjoy this though, since every aspect of check in was self managed and digital. it would’ve been nice to be able to ask someone’s opinion on the best way to travel sometimes.

The place is very clean and comfortable. The staff was nice and helped us well. The location is good being near many shops and bus stops in which you can easily go to the touristic spots.

As I needed to work, I struggled a little bit with the wifi.

Excellent value for money. Good washer/dryer for 500 yen (btw, it's free at some other M's hotels) Good location close to the Gojo metro station Very standardized room, it's simple but has everything you may need, and everything works well.

It was close to 0 degrees outside, and the single-layer window was freezing. I could feel the cold entering the room from the window. It requires to turn on the A/C, which works well, but it's doesn't feel right to burn a lot of electricity just because the windows are of poor quality.

I actually thought I was going to get a sofa bed, but I got a single bed instead (when booking for 3). That was unexpectedly great for me.
