We stayed in taj Ganges but the other property taj palace was much better, they allowed us to visit the palace property.

Rooms were smaller, no balcony.

Service was not prompt. The butter had gone bad. Quality of papaya was not very good . Coffee was also sub- standard . With the addition of very little milk it became milky which means the coffee was not strong enough.

The best staff ever. Attentive, thoughtful, always going out of their way. I have not experienced this type of service anywhere

Room could have been larger

The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Abhishek, Rashid and Abhinav at Varuna. Prachi at the desk was helpful. The driver provided with the car - Rajkumar - was very helpful and made it possible for a senior citizen to navigate the sights of the city with least difficulty. The cooperation of the staff stayed with us and coloured our experience of the city.

The suite bathrooms should be more senior citizen friendly with handrails in necessary places.

Really good checkin experience and also the security staff, all were helpful Out early checkin request was handled well and the tour of property was also something everyone enjoyed - kudos to the staff who is managing these

Services time and way of managing same both were really disappointing I already indicated family is travelling with senior citizens and kids which normally require better attention and hospitality. I have experienced same in past but this time service quality was really bad be it in room service or the restaurant it was taking forever .. managers were just passing the request from one person to other .. quality of food was also average this time I would recommend revisiting the current management approach to go back to the earlier excellent hospitality which is USP of Taj

Breakfast was decent. A lot of veg options which was good. Some of the staff were really helpful and nice. Special shoutout to one waiter who as fantastic! Don't recall his name but he is a young gentleman, small in stature, slim, light moustache and very calm demeanor. Exceptional service! Made us feel at home.

Whole hotel need refreshing. Restaurant chairs are stained and need to be renewed. Hotel is small and doesn't have the same grandeur expected for a Taj chain of hotel.

Good breakfast. Very good gym. The staff is very helpful – On short notice, the director arranged a guided tour of the old city of Varanasi. The restaurant a-la-carte serves excellent traditional food.

Some staff members speak very poor English, and at times it was hard to communicate. It's a bit pricey compared to similar accommodations I had in India, but I guess it's the best accommodation in Varanasi and you pay for a safe and peaceful oasis in the city.
