Great location could easily walk from the main train station to the hotel. The walk to Pisa was a short stroll through the streets.

Location You can get to anywhere in about 20 minutes by foot. The area is nice and feels safe. Staff The staff are very helpful and pleasant. Cleanliness The hotel is clean and the rooms are cleaned daily. 24 Hour Reception The reception stays open all night meaning you can buy water and snacks at any time and it's very reasonable price wise.

Entertainment The WiFi was great when it worked but quite often the internet would stop working and the TV doesn't have Netflix and there's no instructions and only Italian channels. So a night in after a busy day didn't involve film or TV. Noise You hear bangs and bumps from around the hotel during the night and some from the street. The curtains are thin sheets with blackout boards which make it difficult to wake up naturally and have privacy. Heat Our room is hot all the time, Aircon doesn't work and the fan dries the air out too much to keep in through the night. It's been about 23C outside today so our room must be getting heat from somewhere else. Right now it's 13C outside at 7am and our room is 24C which just doesn't make sense. Toilet noise The toilet is very small and narrow and when you turn the light on a very loud fan comes on. You can't open or close the door quietly and if you flush it sounds like a powerful shower for 5 minutes. This makes using the toilet at night a stressful experience for anyone sleeping. Overall the stay was okay but in a hot country I look forward the room to be my place to escape the heat and this has not been the case at all so all the good is cancelled out. Perhaps this is just the room I'm staying in though and I've been unlucky. We also didn't complain about it as it's only been 4 days and every day I've tried something different to cool the room. Maybe I should have earlier. There's only one mirror in the room which is not ideal for a couple as it's in the noisy toilet and the lighting is poor, my wife was looking for a dressing area. You only get 1 pillow each, there's an extra one in the cupboard but that's not even 2 each which is too little.

We had to wait until 10m before the official checkin time. I highly doubt it that the room cleaning finished with only 10m before 14:00

In the room there were few failures: - the doors from the shower tub were broken and hard to close - the soap in the bathroom sink was also broken so you had to always be careful how you get your soap out to clean hands - there was no full or even half sized mirror in the hotel room (only the small mirror at the bathroom sink)
