The spa was glorious - the food amazing and the staff lovely. Also really loved the decor and atmosphere

This has become our little getaway spot when the grandparents have the children for the weekend. So relaxing and wonderful spa facilities. Super comfy bed and great night's sleep. Staff are always so friendly, nothing is too much trouble.
Food and drinks are expensive.

Spa was very very good and general housekeeping very good. Staff were really friendly yet always polite and courteous. Grounds were pleasant to wander peacefully in the evening.
Hope your favourite colour is grey and you like to choose your ornaments from TKMax - just an over enthusiastic interior designer?
The breakfast was good even if felt rationed with toast and tea availability. Dinner was a great disappointment with poor choice, poor quality and high prices, however we were refunded and now feel happy to recommend for the reasons stated above.

we could hear other guests in their bathroom when we were in ours, even their music (word for word), didn’t encourage you to have a nice relaxing bath.

Staff were amazing, very welcoming and pleasant.
Hotel decor and layout was exceptional.
The Badgers restaurant was a beautiful setting for our meal and the food was excellent.
Swimming pool and spa / realxing areas were amazing.
Totally relaxing break, lovely atmosphere!

Tennis courts were very tired, barely usable unfortunately.
Some outside areas looked tired ( not really maintained)

The staff were lovely, professional and happy to help. The spa facilities were amazing! The grounds were beautiful. Visually everything was a treat! We were very impressed with the interior design and cosy feeling the hotel gave.
The double bedroom was compact and very dark. I appreciated the moody lighting/romantic vibe however it would have been nice to have the option of a main light when natural light through a small window is lacking.
A fridge in the room would have been nice, perhaps a room service menu?
The food in Badgers restaurant was okay, v.expensive for what it was.

beautiful property, smelt Devine. The spa was fantastic. the staff throughly helpful and friendly. really enjoyed my stay.. would have loved to have stayed longer!
£170 for less than 24 hours (I travelled alone for a local wedding) so didn’t split the cost and was away from 6-12pm… so probably not the most cost effective. But I would do it again.. so obviously didn’t bother me too much.
would prefer like check in at 2 and leave at 12 maybe.
also the pillows were a little hard for my personal taste… I prefer softer (or at least a choice instead of 4 hard)

A beautiful period property. The staff are outstanding and incredibly helpful. Received a free upgrade without asking for one so have no complaints at all. Food is very good.
