The Gasthaus - belonging to the Hotel Paxmontana - is well situated with beautiful views. The beds are comfortable and the basic room is tidy and light. For Swiss terms, a good price/quality balance. Breakfast in the hotel is nice.

There is a church very close by and all the people in the village need to know every 15 minutes - also during the night - that time and the church are still in place. Sleeping in the guesthouse, there is no getting away from the sound of the church bells. The bathroom is more a closet than a room. Everything works and is clean, but for bulkier people this will be an issue. Although the breakfast is nice, if you come before 9:00 in the morning, the kitchen is closed and there is no cooked breakfast possible. That is odd.

Location, breakfast, staff, quiet, no television in room was great.

The location was stunning

We thought we were staying in the larger part of the hotel, and instead we were in the Guesthouse next door. The ceilings were very low and my husband at 6'4" wacked his head twice going down a couple of steps. Almost knocked him out! The bed was hard, pillows were flat, and no T,V, We ate dinner at the main hotel and it was very expensive for what you get, but the worst part was the FLIES!!!!! They left the doors open because it was warm inside and we had to fight the flies at our meal. Breakfast was covered in flies!! Unacceptable for a hotel of this caliber!! Buy some fans!!

View was exceptional across the valley. Breakfast at the Pax Montana was exceptional - great perk. Everything was clean and functioned well. Classic chalet exterior.

A bit confusing on where to check-in. We had to check in at the hotel which was a couple of hundred meters away, but there was no signage to indicate that. Maybe it was in my check-in material, but had to seek out a member of the kitchen staff for instructions on how to check-in.

We stayed here for 1 night with our dog. The town is very small but very cute. The mountains and its surroundings are beautiful. Highly recommend this hotel for a 1 night stay (especially during spring). Dinner at the restaurant was excellent! Service was great and food super delicious. Breakfast was okay, tasty but can't be compared with dinner.
