Pas de petit savon pour le lavabo. Juste un grand savon ( presque hors de portée car installé très haut) dans la douche. Les petites lumières de chevet ne sont pas indépendantes. Souci d'évacuation de l'eau au début ( cheveux non nettoyés dans l'évacuation). Peu d'aération possible ( chambre en rdc avec fenetre) . Pas de prise USB, on a du racheter un adaptateur.

Bed needs updating or a mattress topper putting on it. Wasn't the most comfortable. Odd smell in the bathroom, with what looked like mold on the window? It says in the description that rooms have sound proof walls - no they don't! I heard everything that was going on in other rooms.

In più abbiamo lasciato a terra un asciugamano macchiato così da averlo sostituito e ci è stato ripiegato e messo al suo posto in bagno

Posizione, staff ok e gentili, vicinanza aeroporto e centro, situata vicino alla stazione ferroviaria Haymarket, passano nei pressi molti autobus, tram e Airlink 100, 15-20 minuti a piedi da Princes Street, la via è molto tranquilla. Colazione migliorabile, possibilità deposito bagagli.

Prenotato 2 camere deluxe, una era molto più piccola, isolamento acustico scarso, si sente camminare, e dico camminare chi è nella stanza sopra e chiunque entri od esca dall'ingresso. Il rapporto qualità/prezzo non è adeguato, troppo caro per il tipo di camera. Mancano bidet e saponette, abbiamo dovuto chiederle 2 volte, Doccia ok, all'interno bagno/doccia.

Sale, vieux, lit très très très inconfortable, ménage non fait à l'arrivée, deuxième sans ascenseur, chauffage cassé dans la salle de bain, peinture abîmée, fenêtre impossible à ouvrir... Rien à voir avec les photos. A fuir. Trop trop cher pour les prestations.

The room was not good value for money. I understand that the festivals were on, but for the price paid, the room was very small, too warm as it was on the top floor with windows which didn't open far & the bathroom was mouldy.

Comfortable rooms and great breakfast! The location is central and convenient. Would stay again.

The staff were super lovely and helpful, especially with the awkward check in and check out times that I had. The buildings are beautiful from the outside and the location is great too.

The room I booked was a single room for about £150, but it felt a bit like a cupboard. It was decorated well for what they had to work with, but i was a bit surprised as the marketing is very upscale - this room was definitely worse than the inn style hotels which you would get for a much lower price. The building was also quite loud inside (thin walls, creaky floors/stairs etc) which yes does come as a choice with the old style, but that put together with the room size made it really not worth the price for me. Even if I'd booked a double room I'd understand it more but for a single bed it was definitely not worth it. However the hotel had the vibe that if you'd booked a larger room for more people, and got it on a higher floor, then maybe it would make more sense - it seems like this style of hotel is potentially just not designed for the kind of quick easy travelling I was doing.

The rooms and the beddings were clean and comfy. It was quiet in the hotel. Staff was very attentive. Breakfast was amazing. It is short walk or tram ride to the old and new city centers.

Very close to the Haymarket station, close to Tescos food shop and small cafees in the neighbourhood. It looked nice, old style.

The stairs, sooo many!! Even if the staff were nice and carried the bags. Opening the window was impossible heavy! Bathroom, strangely designed: there was almost impossible to wash your hnds because the tap was so short there was no room for your hands. And no hook to put the towels on and no holder for schampo in the shower. No place to put and open your suitcase, drove me crazy.

The personal was very kind at all times. The breakfast was incredible.

The room was clean and very comfortable, the staff were friendly and welcoming. Location was excellent for getting to heart of Edinburgh. Plenty of tea and coffee provided. Good size.

Quite noisy within the hotel but assuming soundproofing not possible. Carpets outside rooms bit tatty and looked like they needed good Hoover.

The location was right next to the Haymarket train station which was really convenient. Also, the location was fairly close to the sights and attractions. The exterior of the buildings were beautiful. Quiet neighborhood which was nice for sleep.

As a former hotel employee, I am pretty understanding and forgiving with any slight issues with a room since I know hospitality is a difficult industry. However, there were several issues with the room including: a large stain on the comforter, a chipped glass cover on the nightstand next to where someone's face would be on a pillow, a large stain on one of the wall corners, tissue/paper residue on the headboard, etc. I brought up these concerns halfway through my stay — including the photos I've attached here as well — but never got a response until after I checked out. The staff in person were kind and helpful but whoever from management that I have been corresponding with via email has been unhelpful with finding a proper and appropriate solution. (I was offered a discounted future stay but that's unhelpful as I live in another continent. I instead politely asked for a slight rate adjustment/partial refund which I felt was a fair and reasonable request and have been told they "could do nothing." Extremely disappointing. Might have to reach out to Booking.com about it.)

Breakfast was super! So much options where to choose from. Location of the hotel was also good, easy access to the tram and you could also walk to the castle, old town, Calton Hill etc.

The temperature of the room was a bit too hot. I understand that due to the Scottish weather, this might not be a problem year round but in the summer you could add fans to the rooms.

Excellent location, near Haymarket Train Station. Very good cooked and continental breakfast each morning.

Only negative comment is location of our double room was inconvenient to get to with stairs down inside the actual room and only view was stone wall outside our door. This room did not match up with any I viewed on your Booking.com site, this was disappointing.
